Let's Leave This All Behind.
A Paramore Fanfiction
"Throw the plasma grenade at his crotch! DO IT!"
Yes, that would be my Skeffs. Her real name is Max. She's amazingly funny and weird. I've only lived here for about oh...my whole life. And she's the only fun thing about Franklin.
"Josh, you FAIIILLLL!" she said while covering Josh's eyes with her hand causing him to throw some sort of grenade on his own charater and blowing him sky high.
Yep, she's pretty much the most amazing girl I have ever met in my life. You see, she's new here and I was her first friend, so of course we'd be pretty close. She moved here with her mom or "Mum" as she calls her, from Truro, Cornwall. British accent and all, including the five foot three-ness.Being here in Tennessee is so much different than living in the UK, I'll bet. I just wish that one day I could get out of this place, never looking back, and starting anew. She always talks about all the beaches and abandoned castles that are scattered across the country-side. The green pastures, small towns, and the epic bonfires that can be seen on the cliffs every weekend. God, how bad I wish I could go witness that for just a brief moment in time. "Hey, Hayley, what's wrong?" she asked me. Wow, I guess I can get lost in my own thoughts.
"Um, just thinking about stuff." I said shuffling my feet a bit on the carpet.
"Stuff like? Teh' pownage of noobs?" I lauged at her geekish voice impression and pulled her into a hug. "Hello Hayley's muffinsss!" She said into my shirt. And yes, at times I do think she's supposed to be a boy. But she's well, Max. Just look into her eyes and they say a lot about her. She's soft, caring, bold, strong, and at times lost and confused. It's way different than the personality she puts out; hard, fearless, emotionless.
"Max, no talking to the muffins. You're supposed to be all Dr. Phil to me right now!" I said laughing like a maniac.
"But you said nothing was wrong." She sat up and put her hat back on and gave me a soft smile.
"Well, some times a girl needs somebody to talk to. You should know this, after all, you have a vagina." I poked her side causing her to yelp
"Yeah, but doesn't mean that I like it." She poked me back and soon there was a full on tickle war taking place on my bed, next to Josh's head, and with chips everywhere.
"Give up now, Williams!"
"Never! You give up, Skeffs." I said giving her a sad face.
"No, not the face. Don't do the face!" She put my hands over my head. "Don't do the face." She was moving closer. I wasn't moving, my breath was caught in my throat, my breathing was uneven. She was mere inches away. "I win." She whispered into my ear.
"What?! No, n-n-no. NO!" I said shooting upwards. "You did not just beat me at my own game."
"NOOB!" Josh said turning his head back to me and giving her a high-five. I crawled up to the top of my bed and put my knees to my chest. I guess she noticed something was wrong cos I wasn't talking or anything. Why did I get nervous? Why didn't I move? Why am I so short? These were the questions running through my head constantly for what felt like a lifetime.
"Okay, Spongebob. What's bothering you?" She said in a serious, soft tone of voice. She walked over to my side of the bed and put her hand on my arm and started rubbing it. This always made me relax, her hands were soft, but not too soft. Like, the most amazing blanket of all time and then multiplied by 50. Those were her hands. I turned my head and looked at her and half-smiled. She climbed up next to me and put her arm around my waist, then grabbed my hand and put her head against my shoulder. Well, that's what friends do, right? I mean, it's just friendly cuddling, isn't it? Damn.
How much would you bet
That if I tried hard enough, I would spontaneously combust.
I wish I could disappear.
Run away from all of my fears.
I think I'm coming undone.
So stay the night, I promise that I won't bite.
Cos without you there, I don't think that I could close my eyes.
She started to sing softly to me, trying to get me to open up a little to her and get me to talk to her. Yes, she had an amazing voice. It was all....smooth, soulful, strong. Everything that would make you feel safe. "Well, I'm outsies." Josh said withZac following him like a duck. By now, I was almost asleep and Max was rubbing my hand with her thumb and saying sweet litte nothings into my ear to calm me down. Look, I don't want to talk about what's wrong right now. I'll let you all know, soon. I promise. But, for now, I need to keep to myself and let everything just fall into place.
"You alseep, yet?" She said sitting up a little about 30 minutes later. It was now 8:15, Friday night. You're supposed to stay up all night when it's a Friday, tonight was different. My brain was all...mumbo-jumbo.
"No, still awake. Let's go get some food, my tummy is yelling at me." I sat up and put on my fuzzy orange slippers and went downstairs with Max to find some food.
"EPIC!" She said jumping up and down. "I'm going to make a chiminey-chainguh."
"You dork. You can't even say it right." I said laughing my way down to the fridge.
And so, this is where the story will really unfold.
Yeah, it's my first fanfic. rate, comment, diss, whatever. kah? mkah.
