'' your mom?''
Pete questioned.
'' Yah. I think she's onto me. I skipped class and basicly ran here. Didn't tell her a thing about this. She'd freak anyway. Better things left unsaid then to have all my skelitons out of that dark dark closet they've been living in for so long.''
'' Your real poetic. And so you know this might sound weird but if you don't want to go home becouse of you know, your welcome to stay with me on my bus. Queer I know and smelly I know but I think you'll take it anyway.''
I looked over at Pete and then he was gone.
My door opened and Pete helped me out.
We were in the northend.
Great itailain place I've always wanted to try. Strega. {Highly recomended}
I just never had the money for it.
Pete walked inside and we were seated up in the back.
'' Sorry bout all those photogs. They just find me I guess.''
We both chuckled and ordered.
After dinner a sea of lights filled my eyes again.
Into Pete's dark SUV was a nice change.
'' So are you coming home with me?''
Pete said breaking the silence between us.
'' Yeah I guess so. Either that or be home alone and get yelled at in the morning.''
'' So that's a yes!''
Pete said with a grin.
He was such a kid but that's why he seemed to damn loveable.
I learned alot about him at dinner.
We both just seemed to open up to each other.
Me not so much though.
Every once in a while Pete would stop talking and ask something about me.
'' But first can we if it isn't a problem, could we stop by my place so I can grab somethings. You know clothes and stuff?''
It felt a bit funny asking that but I had to.
'' Yeah of course. No problem.''
Pete took a quick glance at me with a smile.
I had to of course smile back.
We pulled up to my run down house on the wrong side of the tracks.
No really there were old train tracks just outside my house.
I always tripped on them when running home from school.
Anyway, as we pulled up I noticed that my mom told the truth.
She wasn't home.
She says that she won't be home but then ubruptly comes home to see if I'm doing anything 'bad'.
I told Pete I'd just be a minute and he should stay in the car.
I ran through the old criketty gate and into the house.
I walked through the walls with holes every so often.
Wires were everywhere.
The floors were peeling so were the walls.
Well the parts that didn't have holes.
I walked into my bedroom which didn't have a door.
It never had one to begin with.
My room was pretty neat.
I dropped my bag down on my bed and sat there with my head in my hands.
Almost to the point of tears, I was distracted by the sound of my phone ringing.
I looked over and it was Pete.
I answered :
'' Hey um sorry it's taking so long um I'll be out in a minute.'' I tried to rush.
'' No it's okay. Take your time. Just wanted to know if I could use your bathroom. I really gotta pee.''
I had to giggle at that.
'' Oh oh well alright. Just come in and I'll show you it. And I'm apoligizing for the mess ahead of time.''
'' No problem. I'll apoligize for my mess on my bus too. We're even.''
I giggled and the next thing I know Pete Wentz was standing in my living room squirming all around.
I guess he really did need to go pee.
I showed him where the bathroom was and went back to my room to pack.
