‘Somehow, I doubt we will see each other again, Demyx. Nothing personal, but I’m going to avoid the ‘Ogranization’ at all costs,’ you thought, heading back the way you had bluntly rushed through only moments before.
“HIKARI! We’ve found you!”
You turned to see Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Simba rushing up toward you.
“Hey,” you called out weakly, “So, I take it that you finished off the creature?”
“Yeah, thanks to your tip, that is.”
“Good, I’m glad, really.”
Sora gave you an innocent look, not getting that your mind was in a far off place.
“Um, well, Hikari, should we go back to Hollow Bastion? Do you want to go home? Wait, did you ever find the baboon?”
“Yeah, to both questions. The baboon confused the hell out of me as usual, though. When can we leave?”
“Once we get back to The Rock, I guess.”
“Great.”
The journey back to The Rock was eerily quiet to Sora and the others, but you paid no mind. You were thinking on what everyone had told you today, really confused. But, out of all the news, what the baboon had told you was the most disturbing. He was never wrong about you, ever.
You entered the house, Sora and the others had left for Port Royale, it was dead quiet. You were wandering the house, looking for someone, when you heard Cid shout your name.
“Hikari! Quick! You have to get to the construction site! Everyone’s down there, hurry!”
Immediately, you rushed out the door. You pulled a small pendant out from your back pocket, then blew on it. You quickly tossed it over your shoulder, just in time, too. The pendant grew to a large size, and then a flash of white and before you stood a purple dragon. It had been a gift from the Gullwings, they had given it to you on your birthday, last year. You did use it sometimes, but not very often. You nimbly climbed onto the dragon’s back and told him where to go.
When you reached the third construction site, you had spotted the others. They were battling silver creatures. You had never seen them before, and though you were dying to get a closer look, you knew that you should find Cloud first.
“Cloud!” you shouted when you finally spotted him. He was in a tangle of silver strands, having just killed one of the creatures. He looked up at you with a grim look on his face.
“Hikari! GO! Get the others out of here! There are too many.”
You cast a quick spell when you saw one of the silver creatures take the opening Cloud had left, instantly killing it. Then, you swung around on your ride, looking for Leon. You found him on the other side of the battle, quickly you jumped off your ride.
“Leon, Cloud says to get out of here!” you yell, joining in on the fight.
He has a surprised look on his face at seeing you, “Hikari?” When did you get back?”
“Never mind all of that! Get on the dragon!”
You shove him toward the dragon, then head off in search for the others. You find them in good time and soon all of you are running for the house. You burst in the doorway first, announcing your arrival to Cid.
“There were so many! What happened while I was gone?” you ask, looking at everyone crowded around you.
Leon looked away, pain in his eyes. Yuffie was silent, not knowing what to say.
Cloud spoke for everyone, “Some guy, in a black robe…he came and said something about you returning to someplace. Then he sent out his hordes of…what did he call them? Well, I forget, but they are stronger than our normal, everyday heartless.”
Leon frown deepened, and then he was at your side, staring into your eyes.
“Do you know what he was talking about?”
“I don’t even know who he is,” you state, hoping to god that it wasn’t Axel.
“He said his name was…um, oh, Luxord or something. Do you know him?”
“No, but, I think I know where he’s from.”
Leon stared at you dumbly.
“This other guy came to me the other day, Axel, he said that the Organization wanted me back, I have no idea what he was talking about though.”
Cloud spoke up, “Obviously, whatever all this is, it’s about you, Hikari,” then he looks around him at everyone else, “We need to protect her, keep her safe. We’ll keep a guard around her. Leon, you should go first, you’re not much help in your shape. Then, Yuffie can take over. Well take it from there when we get there. Alright?”
“Yeah,” everyone replied, preparing for battle yet again.
