I dragged my trunk and owl cage down the steps and into the Great Hall. I sat between Natalie and Theo and helped myself to toast. Everyone was there except Draco. I scanned the hall but there was no sign of him anywhere. I assumed he wasn't up yet and would show up later.

At exactly 9:00 we boarded the train and all of us minus Draco found a compartment in the far back. Candy went to find Shawn and Blaise went to the bathroom which left Theo, Natalie and I. Curiosity was getting the best of me so I turned to face them.

"Guys where's Draco?" I asked.

"He left last night; his dad came to pick him up." Theo said.

"I came upstairs to call you down to say good-bye but you were asleep by then." Natalie added.

"Oh."

I went back to staring out the window and didn’t talk to anybody for the rest of the ride. When we arrived at Kings Cross Station we got our bags and stepped out onto the platform. I spotted my mom standing in the distance waiting for me.

"Well my moms here, I should get going. See you guys next year." I said.

"Aww Lexii, we're really going to miss you." Candy said.

I hugged Candy and then Natalie.

"Come on guys no tears, it's only two months." Blaise said.

I laughed and nodded I hugged Blaise and then Theo.

"Oh by the way, my parents are having this ball thing to celebrate…well I'm not quite sure what it's for but they said to invite my friends so I'll owl you an invite alright?" Theo said.

I nodded. "Sounds like fun, well bye guys."

I waved and began walking in the direction of my mother. I didn’t bother to acknowledge her I just left my stuff by the trunk for the driver to put in and got into the car. The drive home was long and quiet; my mother made no effort what so ever to speak to me and I liked it that way. When we arrived at the manor I got out and walked up to my room. My trunk was dropped off a few seconds later; I was going to start unpacking when I remembered I didn’t have to. I waved my hand and all my clothes, makeup, and hair supplies were neatly put away in their respected places, there were some access things left in my trunk but I didn't bother with those and shoved my trunk under my bed where it would lay until September. I showered, changed and went down to get some food. I was stopped by a house elf who informed me that my grandfather wanted to see me. I grudgingly made my way to his office and sat down infront of him.

"Do you want something?" I asked.

"Have a good year?" He asked.
"Like you care, just get to the point."

"I want to introduce you to the man you will be marrying."

"Question, cant you just make this guy your heir without forcing me to marry him?"

"No, moving on. He will be joining us for dinner tomorrow tonight so dress properly and be on your best behavior understood?"
"Yes."

"You may leave."

The next morning I got up at my leisure and did everything as slowly as I could wanting to kill time. I had been home for only a day and was already going out of my mind. Death Eaters were going in and out of the Manor and I felt disgusted to be near such people. They all gave me curios looks whenever I passed by. I spent most of the day in my room not wanting to be around anyone.

At 5:00 I began to get ready for dinner, I showered and looked through my closet. Apparently my mom had bought me a new dress for the occasion. It was a silk dark blue thick-strapped halter floor length dress with silver embellishment on the neck line and underneath the bust, the rest was plain. I put it on and straightened my hair, slipped on a pair of silver heels, did my makeup and accessorized. When I was ready I waited to be called down. My mother came in my room and stood across from me. She was wearing an ivory colored dress and her black hair was put up into an elegant bun.

*someone's excited to meet their soon to be son-in-law*

"You look lovely dear." She said.

"I know." I answered, if she was waiting for me to return the compliment she would be waiting for a while because that was not going to happen.

"I now your upset with me—" She began.

"Upset? Try furious." I said.

We were interrupted by a house elf who told my mother to go down and be seated and for me to come on exactly 10 minutes after her. My mother gave me an encouraging smile before leaving. Precisely 10 minutes after he left I began to walk down the stairs. When I reached the bottom I turned to my right and entered the dining room. Only three people were seated at the dining table; my mother, grandfather and some guy who had his back towards me.

My grandfather looked up at me and signaled for me to walk in further, when I had the guy got to his feet and walked towards me. He took my hand and gently kissed it.

"It’s a pleasure to meet you." He said.
