(3) Bou ~|Angels Fall First|~ An Cafe

Wow... this is coming along great so far! Third chapter in less than a week (or two?)... That is seriously a RECORD! XD Anyway, the reason I'm updating so fast is because tomorrow I go in for an operation, and I've got three different pain meds i have to take... and, well, if I'm loopy on pain meds, I don't think you want me to update. Because Bou might all of the sudden turn out to be a rabid alien monkey from Mars who likes Brussel Sprouts... >.> And you wouldn't want that, would you? Well, let me know what you think of this chapter~ =^o^=

"Its not funny Annalise!"

I continued to laugh at the position that the one yelling at me was in. Charlotte was currently laying on the floor. But she wasn't laying directly on the floor.

Kanon was in the way...

She was sprawled out on him in a very awkward position. He seemed just as flustered by this as she was, except for he didn't express it by yelling. He just blushed cherry red and stayed quiet.

Miku was rolling around on the stage, holding his stomach, laughing like a lunatic. Bou was covering his mouth, laughing as inconspicuously as he could manage. I was standing, holding my stomach, hardly being able to breathe because I was laughing so hard.

"Annalise! This isn't funny!" she fumed, crossing her arms. She stood up from Kanon and offered him her hand. He took it, the blush seemingly remaining permanent for the time being. Charlotte whispered, "Sorry about that". He nodded and ducked his head, moving away from her a bit.

I barely managed out, "You... You... You should have seen your FACE! It was priceless!" Then I continued to laugh as she crossed her arms across her chest once again.

"Well sorry, that you get a kick out of my misfortunes..." I attempted to calm myself down and give her a hug to make the fuming girl feel better. She smiled slightly as I apologized to her, and hugged back.

By then, Miku had regained his composure. Bou had already done so, but a smile still lingered at the corners of his lips.

"So, where are the floor mics?" I asked after we pulled apart. Charlotte pointed to the mics that had fallen during her little mishap. I sighed and began to pick them all up, along with the two rolls of Gaff tape that she had brought out.

"Well, let’s get to work" she said, enthusiastically.

Both of us grabbed a roll of Gaff tape and some floor mics, and headed to separate halves of the stage to start taping them down. Miku ran up to me as I got down and began to place the first mic.

"Hey Annalise. Where did Teruki go?" he questioned me as Kanon wandered up behind him, staring at what I was doing. In turn, he decided that he wasn’t interested in it, and began to entertain himself by blowing on the strands of hair that hung in his face.

I turned to look up at Miku as I pulled on the Gaff tape to get it to separate itself from the roll. "Oh, Teruki? He went to the bathroom..." I brought the roll up to my mouth after saying this, and tore the tape with my teeth. Placing the roll of black Gaff tape down, I taped the mic to the floor.

Miku nodded. "Thanks... Uh... Which way is the bathroom?" he questioned me.

I sighed and stopped what I was doing. "You see those doors there?" I pointed to a set of doors and he nodded. "Well, take a left out those doors. They'll be on the far wall, on your right..." He muttered thanks and made his way off the stage.

It took Kanon a few seconds to realize that Miku had left him behind. The bassist stopped blowing on his hair and quickly ran after the spazzy vocalist.

Charlotte spoke up after a few minutes. "Uhhh... Annalise?" I sighed and looked up from what I was doing.

"What?"

"How far from the edge of the stage are we supposed to put a mic?" I thought for a second.

Then I replied with, "Four feet."

She thanked me and got back to work.

After a few minutes, I looked up to see Bou wandering over to my direction. I cocked my head to the side in confusion as he sat on the floor in front of me.

"Something wrong Bou?" I asked him as he shook his head from side to side.

"No, no... I was just wondering what it was you are doing." He smiled slightly as he gestured to the tape in my hands, which was currently resting between my teeth, waiting to be ripped.

Ripping the piece of Gaff tape, I placed it down across the wire hooked up to the mic. "Well," I began. "I'm placing the floor mics that will pick up all the movements and stray speech on the stage. That way, you can still be heard a little bit even if you don't have a hand held or set microphone in your hands or on your head." Bou nodded in understanding.

After a few more seconds of me taping down the microphones, Bou spoke up again. "Annalise?" he questioned. I looked up at him. "Can I help?" he asked, a pleading pout on his face. I giggled at the look he had given me.

"Course you can... Here." I handed him the roll of Gaff tape. "You rip the tape, and I'll place the mics. That way both of us don't get in trouble for having the mics in the wrong spots..." He smiled and nodded, taking the roll from me.

Getting up and walking to the back of the stage, I sat down once again on the floor. Bou followed suite, and sat down across from me. I placed the mic down where it belonged at, and then looked up at him. "Try to make the tape at least nine inches long. I need to cover a fair amount of the long wire. Then I'll need a piece about half that size to run the top of the mic, okay?"

"Okay..." he said. Bou pulled hard on the tape and got about as much as he would need for the first thing.

But the funny part was the he had a bit of trouble trying to rip it. He couldn't do it very well with his hands. "You've gotta use your teeth" I said to him.

He gave me a funny look. "But its tape. How can you put that in your mouth?"

I laughed slightly. "Don't worry. It doesn't taste as bad as you think. Plus, you'll get used to the taste after a little bit... And it’s not gonna hurt you. I promise." He looked down at the taste, and then brought it to his mouth, ripping it with his teeth. He handed it to me. I giggled. "See, it doesn’t taste all that bad, does it?" He nodded.

"It sure didn't taste good, if that’s what you're asking."

I smiled. "I never said it would taste good. You just get used to it is all..."

He nodded, smiling, and we got back to work.

"So, you guys ready to go?" I asked them all as we stood outside of the Troc. Miku nodded enthusiastically, along with the other guys. Charlotte smiled at me and gave me a hug.

"I'll see you later" she said as I smiled at her and waved goodbye. She headed off to her Mustang and got in.

I smiled and turned to go to my car saying, "Come on guys."

They followed obediently as I made my way over to my car.

Stopping next to my Dodge Magnum, I unlocked the doors, and opened my driver’s door. "You guys can decide where you want to sit. Whoever calls shot gun, you better not annoy me." With that, I got in to the car.

The guys all piled their belongings into the trunk, and then raced for where they wanted to sit.

Miku ran around the front to the other side, and got in the passengers seat. Teruki, Kanon, and Bou all piled into the next row of seats.

"Seatbelts..." I said as I fastened my own. Four clicks went off after mine, and I started the car.

Pulling out of the parking lot, I wound my way through the streets of Philadelphia. The males in the car all conversed about the scenery passing by them; all of them except for Miku. He was too busy being fully immersed in it to care what it was they were talking about. He had his face so near to the glass that steam marks would appear briefly against the window every time he let out a breath.

After about a 25 minute ride, I pulled the car into the parking lot for my apartment complex. Miku clapped happily as he realized that we were finally there.

I giggled as I parked the car, put on the emergency break, and took the key from the ignition. I unlocked the doors and the guys piled out from the car.

They headed around the back to start to unpack their belongings. I waited until each of them had their arms full, and then I headed to my building; building C. The numbers were above the doors, listing what rooms were held inside. My apartment number was 109, which was on the right side of the building, upstairs. I opened the door to our building, and headed up the stairs, the guys trailing behind me with all of their belongings that they were carrying.

Up the stairs was one small hallway which held one doorway on either side of it. There were only eight apartments in this building, because these were the big apartments. There were two sides to the building; two apartments to the top of each side, two to the bottom.

I smiled as I got to my door. 109 was very clearly written across the door in a silver name plate.

"Well guys, home sweet home. And it’s your home for the next two weeks..."

They all smiled, a bit of anticipation on their faces as they waited for me to open the door. Slipping my key from my pocket, I slipped it into the lock and unlatched the front door.

Well, that’s it for now... Sorry if you think its short and uneventful... >.<

Hope you enjoyed it though!

I'm not sure when my next update will be, because of having to be on pain meds for a week. I'm not sure if they're going to leave me loopy or not... And if I do end up a bit crazy on pain meds, no updates... I don't wanna screw up the story... >.>

Well, let me know what you thought of it!
