New Moon: a nighttime shadow ::1::

I woke up.

Edward had gotten out of bed already.

I felt nauseous, and I felt like a big whale.

I got up; my back is killing me.

I looked down, “ugh. I look like I`m nine months pregnant now.”

I noticed that Alice and Rosalie had put the clothes they bought for me and the baby on the chair in our bedroom. I pulled out some clothes for me.

A maroon colored shirt and some grey sweat pants.

I walked into the living room. Edward was reading a book ‘How to Be a Father’

I laughed when I read the name.

He looked at me, “what are you laughing at?”

“How to be a father?”

“Oh, Carlisle thought it would help.” He put it down, “how do you feel?”

I sat down next to him and rested my head on his shoulder, “I feel like crap.”

“It will be over soon.”

I sighed, “I wish it was over now.”

Alice came in, “how you feeling?”

Edward laughed, “She feels like crap.”

I sighed.

Alice smiled, “well your wedding is tomorrow. Just wanted to remind you.”

She left.

I got up; I was hungry for FOOD.

I grabbed an apple and sat back down on the couch.

Edward stared at me, “you know you`re going to have to get rid of it later.”

I cocked my head to the side, “what?”

“We can’t digest food. So after we eat it we have to… you know…..throw it back up.”

“EW. Well for some reason I feel like I can digest it.”

“Wait a minute…” he got in front of me and stared into my eyes, “wow. Your eyes are beautiful.”

I laughed, “they`re the same as yours.”

He smiled, “no they`re not. Apparently with you being pregnant your body changed itself back to human. That’s why you`re hungry for FOOD.”

“Cool. But wait….will I turn back to a vampire after I have the baby?”

“I don’t know. But if you don’t I can bite you again.” He smiled.

“okay.” I felt a sharp pain, “uh-oh.”

He panicked, “what!”

I was panting, “either I just peed in my pants or…”

“Are you serious? You`re in labor! Yay! I`m one step closer to being a Dad!” he jumped up and was cheering.

“Edward!!!!!! This is serious!!!!!!”

He picked me up and carried me outside. He ran to Carlisle`s room.

Everyone was running down the hall to get to the elevator.

Emmett and Edward were both carrying me; Edward on my right and Emmett on my left. Jasper was running behind me holding a wet towel on my neck. Carlisle was in front of us telling me how to breathe so I didn’t hyperventilate.

We got in a cab and told the driver to go as fast as he could.

We ran into the hospital. (If you have seen cheaper by the dozen 2. Imagine the seen when Nora went into labor and they were in the hospital.)

Emmett and Edward ran with me in their arms to the front desk. I had my arms around their shoulders so I wouldn’t fall. I was gripping Emmett`s hair and clawing Edward`s shoulder; I was in so much pain.

Edward was frantic, “get us a wheelchair!”

I screamed when another contraction came; I tightened my grip on Emmett and Edward.

The both yelled, “Now!!!!!!!!!!!”

A nurse came with a wheel chair and they rolled me into a delivery room.

They put me on the bed.

A doctor walked in, “all right lets check on how you`re doing. Oh and I will need everyone to leave.”

Carlisle stepped in front of him, “I must stay. I am a doctor so it will be fine.”

“okay.” The doctor pushed everyone out of the room.

The doctor started looking at me, “well you`re not fully dilated so we will wait a few more minutes and if he blood sugar drops we will have to get her into immediate surgery.

The doctor made me change into a robe and made me lay back down on the bed. Carlisle sat in a chair next to me and held my hand.

He voice was calm, “you`re going to be fine. Don’t worry.”

I took a deep breath, “then why am I freaking out.”

“It’s just because you`re excited. You`re going to be a mom.” He smiled.

“I know.” I took a deep breath again.

The doctor came back in and checked my blood sugar, “your blood sugar and pressure is dropping.”

I groaned and looked at Carlisle.

The doctor put some mask on my face and then I was asleep.

I woke up. I barely opened my eyes and I could see Edward sitting next to me.

He smiled, “hey mommy.”

I smiled.

“how do you feel.”

I groaned, “the same way I felt this morning.”

He smiled, “your eyes are topaz again.”

I smiled, “good.”

he frowned, "I liked you eyes better when they were green."
I smiled.
A nurse walked in, “would you like to see you new baby boy.”

Edward smiled, “yes.”
