Part 0: How did you know? (An Edward Cullen Love Story)

“Hey Chris,” came the shy voice of the very good friend of mine, Cassey. “Wasn’t that same group of guys at Hollister as well. I think they’re following us.” We had been shopping for about 3 hours now and were just about to leave when she spotted them.

I looked in the window we were passing and saw what she was looking at. There were five guys, all looking like the typical football jocks standing hunched over walking a few yards behind us. “Eh…don’t worry about it, just a coincidence. Jeez you worry to much!” She just nodded and forgot all about them but I sure didn’t. I watched there every move to see whether her suspicions were correct. And would you guess it…she was right. Anywhere we went, they’d follow. I picked up my pace a little and walked up to where Alice and Katie were talking a mile a minute.

“Hey guys don’t make a sound, just listen. There are about five guys following behind us. They’ve been following us for a while now. They look slightly wasted.”

“Omg! Seriously!!!” Katie screamed making the guys behind us halt their movements.

She was about to turn her head but I grabbed her wrist to tell her no and Alice tried to cover it up by adding next “That’s the best sale yet! We have to go.” We ran straight into the Abercrombie store and while Katie and Cassey were running around looking for clothes, I went over to Alice and whispered to her my plan.

“I’ve got an idea. We walk outside and go into that alley between JCPennys and Sears. We’ll have them cornered. I can take them down easily after that. All I need you to do is make sure Cass and Katie are out of the way.”

“No way, Chris. You can’t take them down on your own. It’s five versus one.”

“Don’t worry, I’m a black belt and these guys are idiots. It’s not even a challenge.”

“…Alright.”

“Good now we have to get Cass and Kat to go along with it.”

After a few minutes of whispered discussions in the changing rooms we had it planned out and were ready to put it to the test. Katie and Cassey would walk out complaining that there wasn’t any good clothing and they would stand outside waiting for us. There, they would discreetly look to see if the guys were still there and if they were, Katie would get her cell out and start texting. That would be the signal to me and Alice that the men were waiting so Alice would buy a necklace and a couple seconds later, me and her would walk out to join the other girls. Together we would all walk out of the mall and into the parking lot. We would walk over towards the alleyway and when we finally were close enough to it, Katie would act like she saw something and would walk over to the alley. We of course would follow in suit.

The men would think it the perfect opportunity to come after us and would, of course, follow us in. There, I would take them down. It was the perfect plan…except there was one small problem.

“OH MY GOD CASSEY! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CLOTHING IN THERE,” yelled Katie in a not too obvious way.

“YA KATIE! I GUESS WE’LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT HERE FOR ALICE AND CHRISTIE.” I swear…my friends suck at acting. Note to self: NEVER let them join drama.

“OH, I’M SO BORED. I’M JUST GONNA TEXT A FRIEND NOW!”

That was the signal. Alice and I waited about 20 seconds more before we walked up to join them. We all walked outside laughing and joking until we got close enough to the alley that it was Katie’s part in the show. “OH MY GOD, LOOK AT THAT. THAT IS SOOOOO CUTE.” She began walking towards the alley way and a few seconds late, we headed after her. The men followed behind us, as planned. Alice got Katie and Cassey into the corner while I stood in front of them, off to the side so I couldn’t be seen. The followers came shortly afterwards.

“Oh girls…you in here.” The speaker, I’m guessing the leader, said while walking right past where I hid.

“Ya we’re here.” With that I did a head kick which hit him square in the back of the head. He fell very quickly. Haha, he’ll feel that in the morning^^

The other four saw there man down and came straight for me. I swung my foot back at the guy closest and instead of going for the head; I went for the…erm…lower region if you catch my drift. He went down so fast it wasn’t even funny. I leap-frogged over him and at the same time pushed him back so he fell flat on the ground. Then at a speed not normal for humans (huh wonder why?) I used my right arm to punch him straight in the jaw and then swung my leg around to kick the other guy that stood next to him down onto the others. I looked over to where my friends were and smiled one of my all to famous cheeky smiles.

But sadly, the fight wasn’t over. I had forgotten about the 5th guy. He came at me when my back was turned. I felt something sharp poke my back and then felt someone brush up right against me from behind. “Hey guess what?” he joked and then put his lips right next to my ear so he could whisper in it. “Daddy’s home.” Uh, can I get an EW!

I took my elbow and jabbed it right into his stomach and while he was bending down from the force of my blow I shot my arm up, punching him square in the nose and hearing a very loud crunch. Then I twisted around, grabbed the knife from his hand and put it to his neck. “Who’s your daddy now.” And with that, I dropped him to the ground and look over to where my friends were watching me in sheer amazement. Then they all got up at the same time and ran over towards me. Katie squeezed the life out of me while Cassey rambled about everything and anything.

“Oh my god, you were so cool…and so fast! I didn’t know you had it in you. You were going like a thousand miles per hour.”

“Yes,” Alice said sounding all mystique-ish. “You were quite fast. I could barely see everything you were doing.”
