Hidden in the Leaves [[Chapter One]]

Shikamaru's POV
For a long year we've been searching for Chihiro.And we found nothing.From three hudred and sixty five days today, no one has seen Chihiro.
Everyone has been depressed, especially Tsunade. She stays in her office all the time and actually works without complaining. Probably to keep her mind of her.
Kiba and Sakura have also been depressed. Sakura always looking on the verge of tears.
But I don't think it compares to howI feel.Even though I haven't seen her in a year I feel like I've been growing more and morein love with her.I've been clinging onto the memoryof when her soft touched mine gently. I miss her so much it physically hurts.
Chihiro's POV
For the past year I've been training. Hard. I'm able to perform almostanytechnique you can throw at me.I even learned theRasengan, and in only just three days.
I'm also very good with exposives, a family traight, I presume. I can mould clay wellandam able to make them explode over any distance. Like father, like daughter, I suppose.
Shikamaru's POV
We've had word that the Akatsuki are planning to attackKonoha.It's omly a matter of time beforethey do to Naruto whatever theydid toGaara. But we won't let that happen. Eveyone has become way more protective of the village since Chihiro was kidnapped.
Tsunade has beenaway for about a month. Rumourhas it that she is personally looking forChihiro. I hope she finds something because if she doesn't, no one will.
Chihoro's POV
I panted heavily as i fiished doing my 99th lap of a massivefield. I would guess that each lapwould be about a half a mile.
"Come on hun! Move it! One ore lap to go!" yelled my father,who was stood over me as I lay on the ground.I was training wit him again and each session has been getting harder. I know why. The whole Akatsuki knew why. We're going to invade Konoha, and take no prisoners.
Igot up andfinished my last lap and collapsed on the floor again,only to be dragged upagain.
"Okay, okay!" I said, exhausted. That was only the beginning of my training. I smiledweakly at the thoght of Lee. "What youth!" he would have shouted, egging me on... No. I can't thinkabout any of them. I might have to kill them soon. I especially can't think of-NO! No more memories. I pushed back a picture of a field with a sleeping boy laid under an oak tree.
I bent down and picked up my bag of kunaii and shuriken. For this part of the training I had to come at Deidara like I was going to kill him.
