No Longer A Coward. [vampire/werewolf/deathangel/demon/ghoust] Running Away...

First chapter, and I think this will be a very good story. Uhmm...Some info. about the main character might be nice. Her name is Delilah-Lyn Sophia Cooper. She is 14, almost 15. That's all I can say for now. Yes, I'm freaking serious! Besides, its more fun to read and find out then to know all the details and expect things. Don't you agree? I usually type in color, which color really depends on how I feel. Right now, I'm kind of depressed, so a nice gray will do for now.Anyway, to the story! X3 Enjoy!

Delilah-Lyn stopped at the end of her quarter-mile long driveway, looking back at her home. Tears welled in her eyes as she brought a shaky hand to the crytal arund her neck. Home? How could she think of this place as "home"? It would never again be home to her. It would never again be safe to live on that mysterious house in the mountains. No, not ever again. "Goodbye." Her voice was but a whisper on the wind. But who she has been calling a quiet farwell to, nobody, not even she herself, knew. After all, who was left to hear it?
Delilah-Lyns hand closed around the cool stone as she turned and walked into the mystical forest that surrounded her on all sides. Never would she return to this place, how could she? She was a coward! How could she sit there, frozen in fear, and not do a thing about the scenethat had unfolded before her eye only three short days ago? She gripped the crystal tighter as images and sounds seeped back to her mind. Tears spilled out slowly, defying her as they rolled down her face. She continued to walk at a good pace, holding herself as the small knapsack on her back bounced up and down with each step ever so gently.
Soon she found that she was lost. For the first time in what felt like forever, Delilah-Lyn smiled. This was just what she wanted. Suddenly, something wet dropped on her nose, then her shoulder. Light "drip" "drop"s could be heard all around her.
Frowning, Delilah-Lyn raised her face to the sky. A downpour of cold rain began. Wonderful...Just peachy... she mentally grumbled as lightning fanced through the sky. Only seconds after, a loud rumble of thunder eachoed through the darkness. Her frown deepend and she became stiff. The storm was close.
Having at least half the barins the good Lord gave a goose, Delilah-Lyn took of running, searching for shelter. There was no way she could be safe in a storm as unpredictable as the ones in these remote mountains. Knowing this, she tried to push herself harder, tried to run even faster. Suddenly, there was a bright light and a harsh crack.
What now?!
Delilah-Lyn looked up, her eyes grew wide and a shriek escaped her lips at the sight of something bright and burning falling towards her. There was fire! The lightning had struck a tree! Now, as it tumbled toward her, she didn't move, didn't dare breath. With a loud "thud!" the tree landed next to the shaking and startled girl.
A searing pain caught Delilah-Lyns undivided attention and she peeled her gaze away from the tree. Finally, she located the source of her pain and watched as blood dripped from her leg, It took a moment to sink in but soon enough Delilah-Lyn understood that a branch had dug into her upper-thigh and left a gash down to her calf. Needless to say, her paint leg was ripped to shreds.
So, Delilah-Lyn did the first thing any girl would do when she was facing fire, had almost died, was lost in unfamiliar woods, and was bleeding profuesly. She. Fainted.

As Delilah-Lyn fell, a man stepped out of the trees' shadows, smiling gruesomely. He stepped to
where she lay, crumpled and bleeding. The smile disappeared as he stared down at her sleeping face, the fire light casting an eerie glow on her pale skin. The rain was still falling steadily, washing the blood from her wound, but not aiding in putting the fire out.
What could have caused her to come out here alone? She could've been killed!
But what did he care? He lived to kill...
The man sighed and leaned down to look at her better, No, he didn't live to kill..He lived just as any other person would. Although his necessitites for survival were far different from the average persons.
He leaned back and gave an agrrivated growl. "Where are those morons," he pondered allowed, glancing into the darkness of the forest all around him.
Finally, the man decided to take her home before she bled to death in the middle of this damned forest. And with that, he picked her up, noting how she seemed to way less than the knapsack she carried, before runnong off at a quick pace. The water stund his skin as he ran at incredible speeds but he never slowed, not until he reached home.

Delilah-Lyn sighed as she felt herself being carried. She noticed the steps were odd, uneven in a way. Her eyes opened a slit and she saw a wooden railing before they involintarily closed once more. The only thing she knew was that she was being carried up a flight of stairs. Delilah-Lyn was vaguely aware of the steos eveing before she was lost once more in the darkness of her dreams....
