You got up and walked over to your tent. But someone stopped you half way there.

???: Ayame?

~~~~~Start~~~~~~~

You stop and look back.

You: What?

???: Whats wrong with you and Sasuke?

You: We’re……um…..indifferent about each other at the moment.

???: What happened?

You: Naruto, whats with all the questions?!

Naruto: I want to help you.......cause I hate seeing you all sad and stuff. And to tell you
the truth….

He mumble something before beginning again.

Naruto: ….I think you and Sasuke make a cute couple.

There was a long silence before he spoke again.

Naruto: Do you love him?

You opened your mouth to say something, but shut it again trying to find the right words.

Naruto: Do you love Sasuke or not?

You: *quietly*yes….but hes too blind with anger to see that.

You stood there and looked at him for a second, and then you turned around and headed towards your tent. You felt tears stinging at your eyes. You stopped and looked at Naruto. He looked hurt.

You: Naruto…..thank you.

He smiled, turned from you and got ready to take his shift. You turned again and took the last few steps towards the tent and went inside. You didn’t want anyone seeing you cry.
It wasnt asobbing cry, it was soft and small. It passed quickly once you thought about the Village Hidden in the Cosmos. You needed something to cheer you up. You jumped into your sleeping bag and snuggled into it, falling asleep instantly.

>>FF to your shift

You heard the zipper open and someone step in. They tiptoed over to your sleeping bag and you could feel them looking at you.

???: Ayameeeee…..hey. Ayame!

The person kneeled and shook your shoulder gently. You groaned and flipped over on your other side.

???: Wake up!! Its your turn to stand watch!!

You finally turned onto your back and propped yourself up on your elbows. You glared at her.

You: Sakura! What the hell?!

Sakura: Its your turn!!

You sighed and got up. You walked over to the entrance and slipped on your shoes and walked out.

You: *mumbling*stupid shifts…..

It’s been twenty minuts since your shift started and you sat there by the fire with your back against a log. You sighed to yourself. Nearby you heared a symphony of crickets playing they’re light tune of chirps and whistles. Your gazed drifted towards the sky. The stars twinkled like glass in the sun, but the moon was covered by a thick layer of clouds. You looked back at the fire and threw in another piece of wood and watched it while it danced with the wind. The wind blew across you warm skin and you shivered. Suddenly you felt warmth wrapped around your shoulders. You looked at your shoulder and there was a blanket draped over them. You looked back.

You: Sasuke?

He said nothing.

You: What are you doing here your shift is not for another hour. Did you come to yell at
me again?

You abruptly turned your head and kept you gaze on the fire. You heard him sigh and sit next to you. They was a long silence between you two, until he finally spoke.

Sasuke: I came…...to..…ap-apologize.

You turned to look at him and you were startled to find him looking at you with those onyx eyes. The same warm eyes that made you fall in love with him in the first place. It took everything you had to keep yourself from kissing him, hugging him, and everything in between. You tried to remain calm.

You: All of a sudden?

You tried not to make your voice shake. But it was a lot easier said than done.

Sasuke: Ayame, I love you. You’re the last thing in my life that I really care about. I was stupid …….and Ayame, you can love whoever you want, and I just want you to know that youll probably find a thousand guys better than me, but ill never find another girl like you. ill love you no matter what.....

The tears you tried so hard to conceal were streaming down your face. You couldn’t hold back any longer. You threw your arms around him and he pulled you closer to him. You cried into his shoulder, but they were happy tears. He gently stroked your head. You looked up to see a tear escape his eye and that made you smile.

You: I love you too….and im sorry too.

He hugged you tight and you snuggled into his chest . The clouds that hung in front of the moon parted revealing a breathtaking moon was so close you swore that if you reached out you could touch it. The night couldn’t get any better.

Sasuke: Ayame….

You look up at him and instead of meeting his gaze. You met his warm loving lips. It was the kiss you longed for all day and all night. You never wanted it to end. Wrapping your arms around his neck, you deepened the kiss. He licked your bottom lip begging for entrance and you didn’t hesitate. He explored every inch of your mouth. Then you explored his. You two finally broke for air and all you could do was look at him. Your night just got better.

You: I love you.

Sauke: I love you too.

You: …but what made you want to do this all of a sudden?

He looked at you and smiled.

Sasuke: …Naruto

You looked at him with disbelief and laughed.

You: Naruto? How?

Sasuke: Well…

[[Sasuke’s Pov]]

You watched curiously as Naruto followed Ayame. In the meantime, Kakashi and the
others already headed for your tents, leaving it just you and Naruto.Naruto talked with
her for about five minutes and then he walked back towards you.

Naruto: Hey Sasuke?

You: What loser?

Naruto: Don’t call me a loser! Im trying to...... help you.

You: help me with what?

Naruto: Love.

You: Go play cupid somewhere else Naruto.

You saw he was getting annoyed.

Naruto: Sasuke, she still loves you.

You stared at him a bit confused, and then your face was placid again.

You: Whats your point?

Naruto: What do you mean ‘whats your point?!’ My point is! She is miserable without
you!! I know you love her Sasuke!

He was right, you did still love her.

Naruto:….dont be stupid enough to let her go. Youll regret it, I can promise you that.

Is this really Naruto? You’ve never seen him so, so, well, so ……..smart. Everything he was saying made sense.

Naruto: Just think about it Sasuke.

He walked over to the fire and poked at the embers with a stick. Then he look at you.

Naruto: Youll thank me soon enough.

He went back to poking at the embers. You got up and walked to your tent thinking about
everything Naruto said.

[[Sasukes Pov]]

You: And that’s how.

Ayame stared at you in disbelief.

Ayame: When did he get so smart??

You: Believe me I asked myself the same question.

Ayame smiled at you.

Ayame: Well remind me to thank him.
She kissed you and snuggled into your chest.
