~a few years later~

"We're getting married today." June was lying in bed with Sirius, who quickly put his hands over his eyes.

"What is it?" June asked.

"I'm not meant to see you. Bad luck." He replied.

"I don't think that's gonna help. You're talking to me. And anyway, when did you become superstitious?" She asked, standing up.

"I didn't. I just don't want anything to go wrong today. And I know this isn't helping. Just go." He said in a way that was more joke-y than bossy. He actually just didn't want to remind June of a dream they'd had a few years ago. That seemed to be repeating itself more and more recently to make itself heard, and June either wasn't remembering the dreams, or she was pretending otherwise.

"I hope you're wrong. Today's gonna be fine." June assured him. "I'll see you later then."

"Bye June." He replied, hands still over his eyes.

She walked out of the bedroom still in her pyjamas, and jumped down the stairs. She was meant to be going to her mums, but she wasn't missing breakfast.

June turned into the hall, where a man was standing, smiling evilly.

He had red, slitted eyes, his pale skin stretched over his bones like he'd been vacuum-packed. His long black cloak made him look even paler, his teeth more than yellowing and a high pitch laugh. It would have been a laughable situation if the atmosphere hadn't frozen, pausing time and washing away everything but fear.

"Ah, Juniper, about time too." He flew towards her and held a long white, bone-ish wand at her throat. "I've been wondering when we'd meet again. Your sister, what ever he name was-"

"Was?!" June yelled at Voldemort. "You wouldn't- well, you would, but you better not have." She warned him.

"She's fine. She just wanted me to give you something… dunno what it was though… ah well. It's not important."

"What do you want?" June hissed at him.

"Just to tell you how lovely your children are." He answered smiling.

"What the-" June pushed past him and into the kitchen, she saw Kaitlyn and Airon playing, most definitely alive.

"What is wrong with you? You came and didn't kill me, you wont stop smiling and no-one I can see is in pain, you like my children and you forgot to give me a message from Xanthe. Seriously… you're not really Voldy are you?" she asked smiling.

"Of course I am!" he replied, also smiling, but in a different, creepy way.

"So why are you being… normal?" June asked, getting slightly worried.

"I have new medication!" he replied grinning.

"Medication?" June wasn't completely convinced that this was actually Voldy. The dark lord who everyone lived in fear of, on medication?

"yup. Pills! Look!" he held out a packet of small round pills, each one of a different colour, and all with a smiley face stamped on the top.

"why? Why would you, of all people, take pills?" asked June.

The smile vanished from Voldemort's face and was replaced with an impatient look.

"because, other wise, I get ANGRY!" he yelled in June's face. "why the fuck aren't you dead yet?!"

"now now, don’t forget your medication!" a man had dropped from the ceiling, June looked up but there was no hole or trapdoor, he just appeared. He had grey hair that looked like he'd been electrocuted, which was singed at the end from all the explosions. He was wearing a lab coat that was covered in multi-coloured stains. he had thick glasses, a wrinkled face and large black boots with long black socks.

Voldemort ignored the scientist guy and stared straight at June.

"hey, voldy, take happy pills and be happy happy happy!" the scientist guy said.

"I don’t want fucking pills!" voldy yelled, not looking at the guy. "just because you're my therapist doesn’t mean you can tell me what to do!" Voldemort looked back at June. "avada- CANDY!" Voldy turned and saw round tablets, with smiley faces on them.

"you know you want them!" the therapist said.

"I want them!" Voldemort said greedily, grabbing the pills and swallowing three. "thanks doctor Brian!" he said happily.

"you're welcome! You know you're my favourite client! Have a good day!" the therapist jumped and disappeared.

"what a lovely guy!" Voldemort said happily, smiling again.

June stared at him, totally shocked.

"can I kill you? It sounds fun! it doesn't matter what you say! I'm gonna kill you anyway!" he sang.

"okay, you can kill me, but not right now." June said, hoping that he'd find more 'candy' and forget about everything.

"I heard you're getting married!" Voldemort said. "can I come? I've never been to a wedding before!"

"okay!" not many people can say that Voldemort came to their wedding and didn't try to kill anyone. "but you have to wear something else."

They got Voldemort into one of Sirius's suits, he went to James' to get ready. June called Xanthe, telling her to come round.

"what did you need me- HE'S HERE!" she yelled, pointing at Voldemort and pulling her want out.

"Xanthe, its okay."

"How the fuck is it okay?! There's a mass murderer in your house!" Xanthe yelled.

"It's okay, because he's on medication. He's all drugged up so he stays calm and happy, just, help me get ready, okay?"

"Okay." Xanthe said after a few seconds of consideration.

June got dressed into a black wedding dress.

"You actually got a black one?" Xanthe asked disbelievingly.

"Yup. I said I would when Sirius proposed. And I love black." June said smiling. They sorted out hair and stuff then went back down stairs.

"Come on guys, let's go!" Xanthe said, leading Airon and Kaitlyn out to a black land rover. Voldemort followed with June. When they reached the church, James and Remus were waiting outside for June.

"Hey June. Woah! What is he doing in a car with you?" James asked looking up at Voldemort.

"He's high on crack so June has to baby-sit." Xanthe said jokily.

"Just act like he's a normal human being and forget about it." June followed James and Remus to the church garden.

About thirty people were sat in black seats had been arranged in rows, flowers hanging from them. The grass was moist and springy and had been magically dyed white. June looked up and saw Sirius standing by a fat guy in a black suit. Sirius' mouth was hanging open and his eyes were wide.

The usual wedding music was playing and Kaitlyn and Airon walked towards Sirius with James and Remus.

"You look wonderful dear." June's ageing man was standing next to her. He was wearing a tuxedo and his greying hair was combed back neatly.

"Thanks dad." She smiled, a warm sensation rising inside her. She was actually getting married. June had never thought about her wedding day as a kid, or growing up at all. But now it was here the feeling was overwhelming.

June's dad led her to the front, and she stood facing Sirius.

"You wore black!" he exclaimed, grinning madly.

"So did you!" she replied, also grinning.

"Are we ready to start?" the vicar asked politely.

"Yeah." June and Sirius answered simultaneously.

"Before I do," the vicar spoke up to the guests. "Anyone who knows any reason why these two may not be wed, please speak now or forever hold your peace."

There was silence for a few seconds, then a load sob rose above the gathering.

"I'm sorry, carry on." Voldemort said loudly. He wiped his eyes with a tissue, then ate it.

"What's he doing here?" Sirius asked June abruptly.

"He's on this medication thing, he's not who he was, he's normal." June couldn't really be bothered to explain too informatively.

Sirius looked at June like she was mad then shook his head. "You do have weird thoughts, don't you?" he asked her smiling.

"You know me too well. Carry on vicar." June replied happily.

He read out all the usual wedding stuff, the 'I do's' and the rings, then the kiss.

*

Sirius stepped out of the land rover then helped June down.

"I still can't believe you-know-who came to our wedding and no-one died." Sirius said shaking his head.

"Me neither. I'll probably wake up and it's just a dream. Hmm… I hope I don’t though. I love you." June said looking up at Sirius. They were standing in the hallway, Airon, Kaitlyn and voldy behind them.

"I love you too June." Sirius replied. Putting his arm around his wife.

"Oh, woohoo! Everybody loves each other and I'm stuck in this shit hole on my own with medication and fake smiles!" Voldemort yelled angrily.

"Have some more candy voldy!" the therapist had appeared again, Sirius looked up to see where he'd come from.

"Why the fuck haven't I killed you yet?!" Voldemort screamed, infuriated.

"Because magic doesn't work on me!" the therapist said cheerily. June was starting to get worried.

"Kids, go upstairs." June hurried Airon and Kaitlyn upstairs and went back to Voldemort, who was now yelling avada kedavra at the therapist, with no result.

"Just have some more candy." The therapist said calmly. Sirius was still looking up.

"Oh fuck this." Voldemort threw his wand to the side and pulled out a gun. The therapist's expression turned from cheery to stone fear.

"Now, now, don’t do anything hasty." The therapist raised his hands and June stared at the gun, wide eyed.

The therapist couldn't do anything to defend himself; just stare down the barrel, praying it was a set up.

It wasn't.

The bang echoed around the hall and through the rest of the house. The therapist fell to his knees, then face down onto the stone floor.

He kept shooting. The bangs decreasing in speed. Until they stopped all together.

"Ah, what a shame. He was beginning to grow on me." Tom Riddle said sarcastically, the cold evil most definitely back in his voice, and his eyes.

The red slits glared at the gun, then up at June and Sirius, edging closer together.

"One bullet. What do you think? Two birdies with one stone or avada kedavra?" he asked, in an air that required no answer.

Sirius reached for his wand, but he hadn't changed since the wedding. He didn't have it. And neither did June.

They stood there powerless, waiting for the same fate as the crazy guy who believed drugs could help the wizarding world's most famous mass murder.

"June run. You won't make it unless you run." Sirius said shakily, his voice cracking and his eyes filling with an indescribable sadness. This was he dream he'd been having. The most real dream he'd ever had, the fear, the sadness, realisation of death and the end of happiness, and then the feeling of a bullet through the heart

"I'm not leaving you." June replied forcefully. She'd had the dream too, the feelings and emotions to now from their third year all rushing to this moment, the trigger and echoing silence.

"And I'mnot telling you again! Go!" he argued asVoldemort loaded the gun. Time was fast running out.

"Hey, I'll always be with you, even if it is in a stranger way than you could ever imagine." She smiled up at him sadly.

"What? I'm not-"

"Oi baldy! Yeah you, you anorexic retard! You shooting me or not?!" June yelled at Voldemort.

The shot ran out and June's eyes went blank. Her empty body fell softly to the floor, and Sirius felt hatred boil and explode inside him.

He lunged at Voldemort, who was now smiling with satisfaction. As Sirius was about to collide with him, the dark lord evaporated. Sirius black fell against the wall and slid to the floor. Tears streamed down his face and he crawled over to June.

This shouldn't have happened. He could've saved her; a bullet wouldn't have been too bad. It wasn't how she'd have wanted to go.

Sirius's tears fell onto the blood stained wedding dress. She'd never looked so peaceful.

Everything had happened too soon.

"Why is mummy sleeping?" Airon was standing at the bottom of the stairs, squeezing Kaitlyn's hand.

They knew she wasn't sleeping.

"Don't cry daddy." Kaitlyn said sadly.

"I'm sorry... It- it shouldn't have happened. Too fast… too soon." Sirius choked through the tears. He pulled Kaitlyn and Airon into a hug and held them for a few seconds.

"Sorry daddy." Airon whispered.

"Don't be sorry… it's my fault." Sirius replied.

Sirius lay in bed, alone for the first time in years. The shot of the gun still echoed in his mind, picking away at him. But Junes last words to him kept going round and round inside his head.

I'll always be with you, even if it is in a stranger way than you could ever imagine.

"But what does it mean? Come back June." Sirius whispered to the ceiling. His words coming back to him messed up. Nothing would ever be the same again. A lonely tear rolled down his face. "Come back."
