YAY! I get to spend the summer with my cousin, David Desrosiers. I never really get to see him. He lives up in Montreal, Canada, and I live in New Jersey.
We always spend the holidays together, but there’s not enough of them!
We’re kind of close. I know his friends too, they’re cool. He plays in a band, it’s so rad.
David and I kind of look like each other. We could pass as brother and sister. We have the same eye color and kind of the same nose. I personally think mine looks better, but that’s maybe because I’m a girl, and it wouldn’t look pretty if I had a guy nose like David haha.
Right now I’m sitting on a plane with my mom, brother and my dad. We’re landing soon. I’ve been listening to music the whole time.
“Hayley, look out the window, you can see the lights of the city.” My mom exclaim. I turned my head to the right and it was a beautiful sight. If I looked upwards I could see the stars. I love the stars. Once when I went to Thailand, on the flight there I sat and looked at the stars for 2 hours at least, just thinking, and every once in a while wishing upon a shooting star, cause there were lots of them.
”It’s beautiful” I replied.
Soon after we landed. We left the plane and went to get our luggage, which went quite quick.
Charlotte Desrosiers was there to pick us up at this late hour. Charlotte is David’s mom. She got divorced a couple years ago.
”Welcome to Montreal! Hey Hayley!” She greeted me as we hugged.
“Hey Charlotte, nice to see you” I smiled at her after we had parted from the hug. She went to hug my parents and my brother, James.
When we drove to their house it was past midnight. I sat in the backseat slowly drifting off to sleep, but I never got that far as to sleeping, because I heard Charlotte announce that we had arrived.
We went into a sleeping house.
”Hayley you can sleep in David’s room. He’ll be there too, but I’m guessing you wont mind.” Charlotte whispered to me.
“K, thanks. Goodnight everybody!” I whispered. I didn’t want to wake David up. He’s not a heavy sleeper as everyone else thinks. I wondered up to David’s room. I used my cellphone as a flashlight, going through my suitcase to find a pair of mini shorts and a tank top to sleep in. After I changed I slipped under the covers and cuddled up next to David.
”Hey Hayley” David whispered, taking me by surprise. I didn’t jump or something though. He kissed my cheek and put an arm around my waist. He didn’t have a shirt on. I have to admit, David was a cutie. If he wasn’t my cousin I think I might would have dated him. But it would just be so wrong. I love him. I totally think I would have feelings for him if we weren’t related. But we are, so no, I don’t have any feelings for him. I don’t know if that made any sense to you, but I know it did to me.
Soon I drifted off to sleep.
