[Nara]Miracle Demon[Shikamaru] Chapter 6

Recap: Akura almost died but her brother saved her.
Akura's POV
I stared at him. My whole mind just went blank for a minute. "Takeshi?" "So you still remember my name? I love you lil sis!" my brother squeezed every ounce of air out of me. It was funny how I remember my brother's name but I forgot my own. "This is your brother Akura?" Shikamaru walked up to me, making my eyes widen. "You chose a funny name," Takeshi stated. "Shi-Shikamaru," I stuttered. In a second, I was drowning in apologies and smothered in Ino and Shikamaru guilt. "Why are you apologizing?" I asked. "It's our fault you almost died. You didn't do anything," Ino replied. "We're sorry Akura. Can you forgive us?" Shikamaru asked. I nodded and had the air squeezed out of me once again. "Can I talk to takeshi alone for a moment?" I asked my friends. They nodded and walked out, closing the door behind them.
"You made very nice friends," Takeshi smiled and sat on the chair on my left. I nodded. "How did you find me?" I asked. "I would've found you earlier but when I got to a village, you already left. How was it in the Akatsuki?" I shrugged. "It was okay," I lied. "But I like this place better." That statement was true. "I missed you so much Kiseki," Takeshi smiled. "My name is Kiseki?" I asked. Miracle was sometimes considered the complete opposite of Demon. "Yeah. When you were born, you had this rare sickness. The monitor barely found a heartbeat and you wouldn't open your eyes. The doctors couldn't find a treatment and thought you would die.But one week after, your heartbeat strengthened and you opened your eyes. That gold color was not found in mom's or dad's. Eyes of a demon.You weren't given a name yet so they named you Kiseki. Miracle."
Takeshi told me he would be buying a house in Konoha and I would move out of Shikamaru's house.The others apologized and everybody was on good terms once again. The final exams were coming soon. Shikamaru was anything but excited.Since Naruto was training with a Sannin and Kakashi was training Sasuke, I helped Shikamaru get ready for his fight. "Don't get slow!" Asuma ordered. Chouji rolled towards Shikamaru another time. "This is getting troublesome," Shikamaru jumped out of the way. I chuckled. "You can't be tired already Shikamaru!" Ino shouted. "I think everybody can use a treat right about now," Asuma smiled. Chouji returned to his normal shape and size. "Barbecue!"
Shikamaru and I walked to his house. "Did Takeshi find a house yet?" Shikamaru asked. "No. It might be a few days until he finds one," I replied. "Thank you for letting me stay with you for two months," I hugged him. "It's okay," Shikamaru turned his head. His face was tinted pink.
After everybody in the Nara household was sleeping, I snuck out and went to the kitchen. I looked in Yoshino's brand new cookbook for a difficult dish. "Onigiri," I read. Being an amateur chef, I decided that this dish was difficult enough. It was going to be a long night.
Author's POV
Shikamaru woke up to a wonderful scent and walked to the kitchen. "Mom doesn't like making onigiri. Why would she make it now?" he asked himself. The sun was beginning to rise. The kitchen wasn't a whole mess but something was. Akura had fallen asleep in a chair. "Akura wake up," Shikamaru gently shook her. Akura opened her eyes. "Did you spend the whole night making onigiri?" Shikamaru asked. She nodded. "It's a thank you present for you," Akura smiled. "You have some sticky rice in your hair," Shikamaru laughed slightly.
Akura's POV
I looked at the onigiri. "Wanna go watch the sunrise?" Shikamaru asked. I nodded. Shikamaru grabbed the plate of onigiri and walked out the door. We sat on a tree branch while watching the sky change from black to vibrant hues ofred and orange. I stared at Shikamaru as he took a bite of my food. "It's good," he stated. "Really?" I asked. "Yeah. Try it," Shikamaru stuffed the reast into my mouth and took another. I swallowed it. "Is it good?" he asked. I nodded. "When did you learn how to cook?" Shikamaru smirked. "The five days you were gone," I replied. "My mom never makes onigiri so it was extra good," Shikamaru stated. "Sunrises are beautiful," I sighed. "I have to agree with you. We shoulddo this more." "Aren't you too tired to wake up at this hour every day?" I giggled. "You got a point there," Shikamaru shrugged.I laughed and took another onigirito eat.
Author's POV
Nikki called every rookie for a 'meeting'. "My dad opened a new restaurant and the grand opening is exclusive! I have invitations for all of you to go," Nikki souealed in a snobbish voice. Naruto had come home and Sasuke was taking a break before going away again. "Hey Shikamaru. What's wrong with Akura?" Naruto pointed to the red head sleeping on Shikamaru's shoulder. "Akura spent the whole night making me onigiri. It was for thanking me for letting her stay for two months," Shikamaru replied. Aww! "Hello! You're supposed to be listening to me!" Nikki shouted. "Just get on with it," Sasuke sighed. Nikki passed out all the invitations and smiled. "Hey you forgot Akura," Ino stated. "Oh! I guess I forgot," Nikki lied. "We can't leave Akura alone," Naruto replied. "Sorry! Can;t do anthing about it now," Nikki shrugged. "You guys go. I'll stay at home with Akura." "No! Why won't Ino stay at home? There's going to be perfomances by Autumn Dragon."[Totally made up. Hopefully.] "I'm not interested," Shikamaru replied. "Shikamaru just wants alone time with Akura," Sakura giggled. "Yeah yeah."
Akura's POV
A few days passed andtonightwas the night of the grand opening of the Golden Palace Restaurant. Everybody was going except Shikamaru and I. "You look niceIno," I smiled. "Thanks Akura. Too bad you can't go," Ino sighed. "I don't mind. Big crowds make me uncomfortable," I replied. "I wonder why Shikamaru wouldn't want to go," I thought out loud. "Because he loves you," Sakura gushed.I giggled. "That's ridiculous." "Why?"Hinata asked. "He's too good for me. Give me one reason why he would like me," I replied. "You're pretty," Sakura stated. "You're smart," Hinata said softly. "All of you are pretty and smart too," I replied."WellShikamaru likes mystrerious girls," Ino laughed. "Nikki doesn't seem too mysterious." "Well she was before her father earned big bucks," Sakura stated. I stayed quiet.
A knock was heard from the door of my new house.Takeshi and Imoved in only two days ago so barely anything was unpacked. I opened the door. "Hey Akura. Wanna go for a walk?" Shikamaru asked. "But I'm in my pajamas," I giggled. "It's dark. No one will see," Shikamaru replied. "I'm going out!" I shouted. "Be back at nine!" Takeshi shouted back. "That's more than enough time," Shikamaru grabbed my hand and ran out the door, closing the door behind me.
"This only happens during the full moon of December so I wanted to show you this." Shikamaru took me to a waterfall.

"Nice huh?" Shikamaru smiled. I nodded and stared in awe. "It's amazing," I gasped. I turned to face Shikamaru. "Jump in withme!" "What?! You are crazy," Shikamaru stated.The blue orbs surrounded around me. "Does this happen?" I asked. "I've never seen this happen before," Shikamaru replied. I felt a soft sting on my back. "Woah." There was a small blue fairy circling ariund me. "So it is true," she spoke in a polite manner. "What is true?" I asked. "The great spirits have returned," she stated."You mean Yin and Yang?""Goodbye Lady Akura. The future lays in your hands."The fairy disappeared.
"I'm really freaked out right now," Shikamaru rubbed the back of his neck. I nodded."I am confused.Why does the future lay in my hands?" I asked. "I don't know. You'll find out someday," Shikamaru replied. "Will you jump in with me now?" I pleaded. "We'll freeze to death." I grabbed Shikamaru's hand and ran to the water. "No! Akura-"
We both got out of the water. I was laughing and Shikamaru glaring playfully at me. "You cannot say that it was not fun," I nudged him. "Be quiet," he nudged me back.
