Character Overview:


Layla: The young and beautiful princess of spirit world. She is three-thousand years old, but throughout the story she matures and looks from fifteen to eighteen. She has waist-long, midnight black hair; deep, emerald green almond-shaped eyes, high cheek bones and petite peachy lips. Her skin is a creamy soft peach and her body is slim and curved; her height is 5’5. She wears a long black dress that billows around her ankles with bell-like sleeves; her delicate feet wear black slippers rimmed with gold. She needs no make-up for it only covers her beauty and wears a golden chain around her neck where a golden pendant shaped like a lyre hangs. The scent of roses sweetly floats around her. Layla’s voice is a sweet melody that rings through the hearts of men and her smile makes them all fall to their knees.

She is quite fit and athletic and remarkably skilled with most weaponry, especially a bow and arrow. Her pendant holds all of her mother’s Spirit Energy and can transform into any weapon of her choosing; it also releases a white dragon of pure energy which she can ride and use as a weapon as well. She rarely fights, but battles fiercely if need be. When she fights she wears a pair of black bell-bottom pants, black small-chunk heeled boots and a black skin-tight shirt with long sleeves and a small V-neck; a green glittering dragon decorating her right sleeve.

Her family includes King Yama, her younger brother Koenma of one-hundred and her deceased mother, Dragon Queen, and later Queen of Spirit World when she married King Yama, Queen Satomi. When she marries or her father passes away she will automatically become the queen of Spirit World followed by Koenma if anything befalls her. So far she has felt no love, but has had plenty of suitors after her hand. An empty void in her heart appeared about seventeen years ago, as if she lost a part of herself yet not being able to recall what. She has one extremely persistent suitor who has lusted after her for as long as she can remember. He is a member of The Spirit Defense Force, his name is Shunjun. She rejects him again and again, but nothing seems to faze him and he keeps trying to impress her.

Layla is a sweet and kind young woman who cares about the well-being of others and protects those close to her. She is serious most of the time and very polite, but can be playful and charming if you get to know her well. Se becomes very aggressive and furious if anyone she cares for is threatened. She hopes that one day she can rule with a just hand and make her people happy.

P.S. For those who’ve read my story Crystal Black Tears, I know she looks a hell of a lot like Migoto. I like to reuse my characters, kinda like actors. She’s a huge and reoccurring actress for me, so just get over it. Also, I know she has my name, ok?! It’s not because I’m some obsessive nut, I just thought the name would fit her nicely: Layla – Dark beauty/midnight. I hope you enjoy my story because I always have fun writing these.
