My soul mate's a...Vampire?! [3: Denial] -Pictures-
Part 3. I'm going to post up some pictures at the end so you can get an idea of what they look like. Enjoy! :DThe next day was even worse. The only good things were that for one, I didn't wake up late! My hair wasan't a mess today, and I didn't have to walk 1 1/2 miles to school. My feet hurt enough already from yesterday. Kaycie seemed to be in a good modd today when i got to school. She smiled frequently and played with her hair. It got kinda annoying so i asked her, "Are you okay? You're smiling alot today. Maybe a little too much." She gave me a 'A-girl-can't-be-happy-for-no-reason-at-all-look-without-being-questioned?' look.
Then I saw Austin staring at me, almost glaring from across the courtyard. I waved to him making sure that Kaycie didn't notice. He seemed to have though, and looked away. No hello. I let it go.
Lunch was...different. Instead of me staring at him, he stared at me, his eyes in half-slits. He sat alone again and when i waved 'Hi' to him-again-he looked away-again. What was his problem?? I didn't do anything wrong did I? Was he mad about me running on the bus quickly yesterday? I was in deep thought when i felt my shoulder being shaken. "Trish? Trish. Trish!! Are you listening to me?!" Kaycie babbled, furious about me not listening to her ramble on about her aunt Lucy apparently getting chased by dogs into a pigpen and falling in mud. I wasan't sure, I wasan't listening. "Huh? Oh. That's funny." I attempted to pretend i was listening, but she saw through my lie quickly and scowled at me. "I finished that story 10 minutes ago." she grumbled after a few minutes of tense silence. "Oh. I'm sorry." Was all i could think of. "Hmph" she groaned, "Okay, so anyway this guy was like, 'Hey, you wanna get a drink?' and i was like..." she continued rambling on. Kaycie forgives you for everything. I nodded and urged her on at the right times, but I still wasan't listening.
School dragged on, Austin ignoring me completely, Kaycie babbling and continuosly getting frustrated when i wasan't listening, Ray insulting me, and me, being the total clutz i am. Tripping and bumping into people. I was really pissed now. If he wasan't going to talk to me on his own terms, I'll make him. I can't stand being ignored, it feels as if everyone else will start to ignore you too, and then the earth will spin, and spin on without you. When I was in the bus loop i was determined to achieve my goal. I squinted looking around the crowds of laughing and bickering students. Finally I saw him walking as fast as he could manage without running-which was pretty damn fast, compared to me. I sprinted around the loud kids and tapped him on the shoulder. He looked up, suprised. A painful expression in his eyes. My heart suddenly melted, but my mind stayed focused. "What the hell is up with you? You think you can fucking go around and ignore me the whole fucking day?" I spat, trying to use as much cuss words as i could manage, which wasan't much. He pretended to look confused and stared at me. What the hell? Was he deaf or some shit? "Jerkface! I'm talking to you, dipshit!" Jerkface? What was I thinking? Some people were stopping now, probably hoping this would turn into a scene. I glared hard at them and they walked away glancing back now and then. One girl even rolled her eyes at me. He sighed and catiously looked around as if to check if anyone was still in hearing distance, and pulled me into the shadow of a tree, were no one could hear us, but witness if I tried to kill him, smart.
------------------------------Austin's POV---------------------------------
I didn't want to tell her, but she wouldn't leave me alone. So i pulled her next to a tree, where no one would hear us, and there would be bystanders to witness if i tried anything funny, which i was set not to do. I sighed. "Look, i can't be your friend anymore, i can't even talk to you." I started, guilt punching deeper into my heart at every word that came out of my mouth. She looked confused, hurt. She opened her mouth to say something but then closed it again. A brief moment passed, and she opened her mouth again, this time words coming out of her mouth, lower than a whisper. "...But, Why?" I couldn't lie to her, and even though she might not believe me, i needed to give her some reason as of why i would not be talking to her ever again. "Because...It's too dangerous." I admitted and my eyes looked at her face. She looked confused again, but didn't say anythign as she waited for me to continue. "I'm a..." I hesitated, "A Vampire." my tone was content and serious. She laughed, loud with obvious humor. When she stopped, she looked at my face, probably wondering why i wasan't laughing as well. "I'm not kidding." I stared deep into her eyes. She stared at my eyes too, and realized that i wasan't joking. "You're...a vampire? But how is that possible?! They don't exist! Next your going to tell me that werewolves exist to?!" She shouted, luckily the buses had left so no one was there to hear her. "Trish, stop yelling! And...yes." I answered her last question, which she probably didn't intend for me to answer. Realization washed over her face, and then she burst into a run, not looking back.
