Chapter Selector

I've known Nicholas Jerry Jonas for a long period of time and I knew he couldn't have changed after a few months of being a famous rock star in his brother's band. So as I waited near the exiting airport entrance I would expect my neighbor, and best friend to still remember me despite the major differences. I could hear the lady from the miniature desk call into the microphone, "Now arriving from California Gate No. 9"
I could feel my heart flutter they were arriving they told me over email that they were in coach and that I had to stay quiet to avoid being a paparazzo’s pay day. Already a couple of passengers have exited and were reunited with their luggage and relatives.
I started to sadden when only a few passengers were exiting so instead of waiting for the door to close I turned around. Chocolate brown eyes were blocking my way and it was toxic. I pulled myself to look at the whole image and found the boy I've been waiting for.
I smiled widely at him, he gave me a weird look. A look of unwelcoming. I could feel my smile fade and slip of the corner of my face.
"Sorry I thought you were someone else," I heard him say. My face dropped, confused. I managed to choke out words, "Nick?"
He blinked twice, like a double take. Then he spoke realization in his eyes, "Roxy?" Yup, that was my name good ol' Roxy Sine.
I stood wide-eyed, he didn't even remember me...
"Roxyyy!" Joe came up from behind and clutched tightly onto my waist picking me up and setting me back down.
Joe, ha-ha we go back way back when I was almost five. He was the big brother I never had and always wanted. He looked out for me whenever I was in trouble, he owns up to be my superman.
I giggled, and jumped on Joe happily, "Hey!" I inhaled the normal scent he carried.
I jumped back down and ran over to Kevin.
Kevin, wow he inspired me to do so many things. Pushing me until I could reach the top. Since he was the oldest among the three he was the most smartest guy I knew.
"Hiiiii!" I yelled also jumping onto him. He hugged back tightly , "Hey Rox! How have you been?"
I answered, "Pretty good. You? How was tour?"
"Amazing I wish you coulda seen it."
I smiled, and made my way over to Nick. I grew over the fact he didn't remember me because the truth was I wouldn't have recognized him if it wasn't for that handy dandy magazine rack in the airport.
Nick and I well, we were bestest friends. We used to do everything together riding bikes, playing softball, and so much more. What could I say? We were attachable.
I hugged him tightly and smiled at him, "Hey, I haven't seen you in forever!"
He lightly smiled, like the Nick I knew from before, "Yeah, it's been so long.."
"Well come on! I can't wait to catch up!" I dragged Joe's and Kevin's hand towards the exit. Nick following close by. We all piled into the limousine the guys had rented and started up a conversation.
"Yeah! And than Joe starts screaming into the microphone, saying 'Thank you! We love you Chicago!' and the whole crowd just gasped at him. " Kevin explained.
"Why?" I asked.
"The show was in Texas!"
I started laughing, "Oh my gosh seriously?" Joe nodded, "It was horrible!"
My laugh ended in a small giggle. "Just the same Joey I'd known since before, Always messing up things."
Joe smirked, and spit out his tongue. I chuckled. "Oh yeah and this one time.." The conversation between Kevin, Joe, and I was endless. From the corner of my eye I could see a lonesome Nick stare out the window, looking like he was somewhere other than here. Which was a trait Nick didn't have before.
When we arrived at their household, I opened the door and screamed surprise in unison with the crowd. We threw a long surprise party, for them. I smiled, as I snapped a photo of their wide eyed moment.
Everyone was here, at least the people closest to the Jonas', no famous posse'. Well except, Mandy she's KIND of famous.
The party was amazing, and everyone was having a blast of catching up and Kodak moments. I danced, until I was pulled aside from Nick. He led me towards the backyard, and held his hand in mine.
He looked deeply into my eyes, as if he were searching for something. "Hey what up Nick?" I asked casually.
"I just wanted to say sorry for earlier in the airport. I really did know it was you, I just thought...."
"You thought I wouldn't remember you back?" I asked.
He sheepishly nodded.
I gave him, a tight hug and pecked his cheek slowly. "I would never forget you, you're my chocolate ice cream."
He smiled back, and replied, "And you're the straw to my berry."
I smiled, "I missed you..."
"I miss you too. When I think about Jersey, I think of you right off the bat. Because you were the person I missed the most from home. And to say I didn't remember you at that airport, killed me to know how sad you must've been."
I pecked his lips, kind of friendly. I'm not sure in what way, but I really missed him.
"What was that for?"
"I like when you get all soft.."
He planted his lips on mine, but for a lengthy amount of time. This was more than FRIENDLY.
He pulled away, I asked "What was that for?"
"I felt like it had to be done."
