Sample 1
Chapter 2 : Sample 2
This is another part in the story from Sample 1. This is not flowing. Sample 2 would not happen right after Sample 1. By the way, this is in a very raw form, so if it seems a bit off, that's why. Tell me what you think.
“Take this for your own protection,” whispered the person I’d come to know everything and yet nothing about.
“I don’t need your protection,” I responded bitterly.
“Ah, so you don’t believe me,” he said smugly. I really hated when guys acted like this.
“I do believe you. I just don’t see why one secret makes me a damsel in distress. Words can never hurt me, right?”
“You think it’s just words? I told you something vampires spent hundreds of years covering up. I’m not supposed to exist. Vampires are just stories to modern people. You’re in danger because of what I just told you.”
“Danger,” I said the word slowly, feeling it with my tongue to see if it fit the situation. After a pause I decided “I’ll take my chances.” He still held the necklace out to me, expecting me to change my mind.
“You don’t know what I’ve gotten you into. The rock in this necklace posses energy that stops any ‘fantasy’ being from harming you.”
“Does it harvest energy from magical fairies?” I asked sarcastically.
“Why can’t you take this seriously?” he asked me. “Do you get a kick out of your life being in danger? This isn’t some roller coaster that you ride for a cheap thrill. This is real life, real danger.”
“I don’t need protection.” This time I spoke it as a whisper. I could feel it chill him. I turned on my heel when there was a swooping noise.
A crack could be heard as the door busted open. I was lifted off my feet before I could blink. Suddenly I wasn’t in the room, which was so full of tension, anymore. I was taken from the house. The arm around me was sucking the breath from my lungs.
My ability to think was gone. I wanted to scream, but the crushing arm made it impossible. Even without that, I didn’t know if it was smart. Who was this holding me? I slightly turned to look at the person’s face and stopped. The trees around me were a blur. The running feet of the stranger were going so fast I couldn’t tell left from right.
