Heart of Hogwarts 107. Walking Dead

Created by Princess-Nicole on Wednesday, May 14, 2008

“Are you all right?” Dylan whispered as I walked with him and Hagrid towards the castle, my eyes fixated on Harry.

“I will be once Harry’s death is avenged.” I explained simply, knowing that I would honestly feel better once I had killed and watched Voldemort suffer.

“Miss. Potter, you cannot think like ‘dat.” Hagrid said with watery eyes. “You ‘ave to be strong, all right?”

“He killed my brother, Hagrid. What do you expect me to do now?” I said tears rolling down my cheek at the reality that I had no one now Harry was gone. I actually knew how Harry felt about me wanting to sacrifice my life for the good of the wizard world.

“What would Dumbledore say?” Hagrid continued as I sighed.

“I wouldn’t know since he isn’t here thanks to him who has now officially killed my entire family.” I stated coldly wishing that the phrase ‘staring daggers’ were actually true.

“Come on, calm down.” Dylan cooed in my ear, rubbing my back. “You still have a lot of people who care about you.”

“Yeah for now.” I muttered, stopping at the sight of the once beautiful and enticing castle now destroyed. Fire, ash and innocent blood now covered my once home, bringing a tear to my eye at the sight. I crossed my arms and refused to look at the many hopefuls, gushing out of the Castle, crying and screaming at the sight of Harry.

“Bring him here.” Voldemort snarled to Hagrid who obeyed, tears brimming his eyes as he placed Harry softly on the ground. “See what has happened to your hero? He tried to save his own skin by running away, leaving the rest of you to be killed. Pathetic.” Voldemort hissed with a smirk on his face. “We have won this battle and now just like young Mr. Potter, you will meet your fate.”

With that said I stepped forward, only inches away from Voldemort who seemed shocked by my sudden appearance. “No! Harry sacrificed himself for all of us; he was murdered for trying to protect everyone. But just because he is gone…does not mean we cannot win this and rid the world of him.” I yelled, glaring at Voldemort who was now less than appreciative of my outburst.

“How dare you speak to the lord like that?” Someone quickly grabbed my arms, holding them tightly to my side as I struggled to free myself.

“I thought you were indecisive, night walker?” I spat as the red eyes of a vampire looked back at me.

“Most were, I for one want the power he has offered.” He smirked, leaning his face closer to my neck, sending shivers throughout my body. I didn’t even like the dark let alone things that only came out at night. Freaky Nocturnal creatures. I thought shuddering slightly at everything that was taking place.

“Please don’t.” I quietly begged as a tear slid down my face; I would be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified at this point. I was scared of vampires, especially their pointy, white, bloodstained teeth.

“Why not? I think you would make a perfect vampire bride.” The vampire’s canines brushed against my neck, thankfully not puncturing the skin whilst everyone else just stood still and watched.

You’re lucky I can’t reach my wand in my back pocket. I glowered, fear remaining on my face but inside I felt strong. I closed my eyes tight awaiting the sharp pain and the sound of my blood leaving my body, being sucked out by the vampire but it never came instead there were loud gasps of shock.

“Lumos!” Yelled a familiar voice as a light passed my face and hit the vampire right in the chest, sending him hurdling backwards.

I fell to the floor on my hands and knees, breathing heavily from fear and confusion as the vampire took off towards the Forbidden Forest, some death eaters who I presumed were also vampires following behind him.

“Are you all right?” The voice asked again as I shook my head and stood up, sobbing uncontrollably, pushing him away slightly.

“No, you’re dead. I saw you…you…you died…right in front of me.” I explained, staring into the emerald green eyes, which were showing more life than before.

“One day you’re going to have to ask Dumbledore how that worked.” Harry chuckled, pulling me into a tight, brotherly embrace.

“You’re supposed to be dead!” Voldemort yelled, pulling out his wand and aiming it for Harry as the war had broken out around the three of us. “You will not escape me this time, Potter. Avada…”

“No!” I squealed about to push Harry out of the way but someone beat me to it.

“Kedava.” Voldemort finished, a green light zooming towards the two boys at an immense speed.

I closed my eyes for a second before opening them back up to see, two figures lying motionless on the floor next to me. One with dark brown hair, who was bleeding from the head and another with platinum blonde hair, his face covered in dirt and blood. A tear rolled down my face at the sight of Harry and Draco, yet again Voldemort had managed to destroy more people in my life that I cared about.

“Miss. Potter, how do you intend on defeating me? You have no one left, it is only you, all on your own.” Voldemort smirked, obviously reading my mind as I turned sharply towards his direction.

“If I don’t kill you, someone else will. Give up!” I yelled; it just felt right and oddly familiar. Oh great another dream coming true. I thought sadly and hastily raised my wand at Voldemort’s chest but was too slow. Voldemort had already used his own spell to knock my wand into a nearby tree.

“Never.” He cackled maliciously with his wand still raised at me, defenseless me with only my weak powers to help. “Perhaps you should join my side and become one of my followers?” He questioned with a raised eyebrow, actually thinking I would agree to it.

“Why would I need to be your follower when I am more powerful than you?” I questioned with a smirk on my face but tears proving how overconfident I truly felt.

“I have the wand Miss. Potter and your powers are weak.” He explained as my eyes narrowed on his wand that was waving in front of me as if taunting me.

“You can do it, Miss. Potter. I have faith in you.” Dumbledore’s voice spoke encouragingly in my head as I found a bit of strength to help me fight Voldemort.

Expelliamous I thought as a spell was fired towards Voldemort, sending him back into a tree. Sectumsepra! The thought came before I had even time to think of what was happening as droplets of black blood slowly left Voldemort’s cuts that were throughout his body. I crossed my arms, triumphantly and stared at the weak body of Voldemort who lay, leaning against the tree laughing softly to himself. I raised an eyebrow and tried to remember back to my dream, which occurred months ago. What happened to cause him to laugh at this situation? In the dream I attacked him before…My mind was blank of what happened after that. I may need my wand. Accio wand. I thought as my wand flew into my hand and I hesitantly made my way towards Voldemort’s crumpled body. “I guess you underestimated the power of mere child?” I mocked as a grin was placed on his face.

“And you the power of the Dark Lord. Did you really think you could defeat me?” He questioned and stood up, showing that his wounds were healed.

“But h…” I began, lifting my wand but was too slow, yet again.

“Crucio!” He bellowed, without warning as I fell to the floor, ferociously quivering from the spell that was placed on me.

After a minute or so, the feeling of my bones being slowly crushed ceased as I gasped for breath, blood slipping from my mouth. Numbness soon took over my insides as I was now filled with sharp tingles throughout my entire body. I used the only remaining strength I had left to lift my head up and glare at Voldemort.

“Give up?” Voldemort smirked whilst I crouched onto my knees, my eyes still focused on his.

“Never.” I choked out in an audible tone when I noticed the necklace my mother had given to me was slowly rising, shocking not only myself but Voldemort as well. “What the?” I croaked out, looking behind Voldemort to see Dylan with his wand pointed at me. Dylan? This bit wasn’t in my dream?

Voldemort must have noticed my curiosity was fixated behind him because he had hastily spun around to see one of his followers.
