Alchemist's Colide-The meeting-part 1-an fma story

So as Al and Moriko ran, they came across a small village they had never heard of before. They decided to enter it and hide in case anyone had gotten past Ed and was chasing them. Al just hoped Ed would be able to find them there. As they walked into the village, something didn't look right. The people there, who hadn't noticed them yet, were fighting, young kids and teenagers included. It was like a war and Al suddenly felt like this was a bad place to be.

Suddenly, they heard a rustle from the trees. A young boy jumped out and tried to gather the courage to shoot Al and Moriko, who were, to him, dangerous strangers that could be a threat. The boy looked no more than eight years old and was shaking so much he looked like a mini earthquake. Al started to explain why they were there." We are not here to fight we are lost and running from people who are trying to kill Moriko" When he said her name he pointed to the person standing behind him. Moriko just sort of stood there thinking silently to herself “Let’s just hope this kid doesn’t have good sense and shoots us”. She decided to put in her own input just as the kid started to tremble even more. Moriko and Al felt bad for the poor kid; he looked as if his skin would just fall off from trembling so much. As he lowered the gun, Al and Moriko began to explain. Moriko went first."We do not mean any harm to this village, really! We are just running from some people, like we said before. Please allow us to pass." When she finished she saw the boys from before come running up in front of them, or in the little boy, behind him.

Moriko quickly grabbed the little boy's hand and pulled him behind her and Al. She knew what she had to do. She quickly ran to a dead tree branch on the ground and used alchemy to turn it into a sheathed sword. She drew it quickly and began to attack. Al on the otherhand, had already started to fight. After her first strike was blocked she yelled to the young boy who was behind her trembling more now than before" Run!! Get away from here!! I'll make sure they can't come after you don't worry!! You can trust us!" The boy hesitated at first, then started to run. While he ran he yelled back"My name is Kiyoshi, and i hope we meet again Moriko and Al" When he was at a far enough distance, Miroko and Al decided to start a real battle.

Moriko unsheathed her sword and went in for an attack, little did she know the two boys could do alchemy as well. While the taller one blocked attacks, the shorter one (and the much younger one it looked like) bent down and drew an alchemy circle and used his nose to activate it. Vines grew out of the ground and wrapped around Moriko. Al quickly took action, seeing that the vines were tightening and Moriko couldn't breathe. Al was having no luck when Moriko eventually passed out. Recognizing this the moment it had happened, the brothers quickly knocked Al out of the way and called off the vines. Moriko was passed out so she fell straight down to the ground. The brothers picked her up, and just as he did, Envy appeared behind them.
