Welcome to Darkness(An original vampire love story)

RECAP: The doorbell resounded through the entire three-story castle-like manor, in which they called home. "Coming," the twins called as they ran to the front door a few feet away.
Katya opened the door, to see their guests--their best friends (who are mortals), Svetlana, Sasha, and Tanya--and giggled as they all three walked through the door. "Edravstvoolte," they called "hello" in Russian, their native tongue. (Info: this story is set in Khaborovsk, Russia, present day... all of the russian words are authentic, though I can't produce the exact lettering on an american keyboard... the translations will be at the bottom).
"Hi," Svetlana said giggling. "Wow," Tanya gooshed, "this house is amazing. I would have never thought that you guys lived here!" "Yep," Korya says sheepishly. Katya nervously laughed a little, then shook it off as she welcomed their friends into their home.
After giving a grand tour of the house, Katya and Korya led the three girls to their third-floor bedroom... the twins got to have dibs on the attic room... "Your house is absolutely amazing!" Sasha said happily as she sat down on the floor. The other followed suit. "So, what do you guys want to do first?" Korya asked her friends. "Ooh, I know...let's talk about boys," Svetlana insisted. "Nah," the twins called, while Korya finished, "besides, it's already dark enough--" "we could tell scary stories," Katya concluded the sentence
