Chapter 1: Exile
-6 year old Keiko's POV-
Village child: Hanyou, hanyou.
Child 2: Child of a demon.
Child 3: We don't need a meddling hanyou around.
Keiko: Kuso. (turns and runs away)
It was about morning in the Miko Village (author's note: I made up the name. Miko Village will be Kaede and Kikyou's village.) You were walking around when the village children started bullying you. Knowing it was about time for training with your father, Sesshoumaru, you went home to retrieve your sword. You gently flipped the door flap open, and walked in.
Keiko: Ka-san
Kikyou: Nani?
Keiko: Why do the villagers all hate me? Even Kaede nee-chan... Only you and Inuyasha nii-chan don't hate me. (you look totally downcast)
Kikyou: Forgive them, Keiko. Humans hate and fear what they don't understand. They fear all that is different. They especially fear your strength, Keiko. They know you are the one who has inherited most of the ability from both sides of the family. That is why you are the next guardian of the shikon no tama.
Keiko: *Next guardian of the shikon no tama?! She never told me that.*(really surprised and shocked)
Kikyou: Isn't it time for training? I think you may be late.
Keiko: *Kuso!!!* Bye bye, ka-san. (Author's note: you only call her mother in private, and only Kaede knows Kikyou's your mother.)
Kikyou: Sayonara.
You run through the green forests to your normal training grounds. Smelling your father waiting there for you, you run faster.
Keiko: Gomen nesai, chichi-ue. I'm late.
Sesshoumaru: Hn. Keiko. This is the last time I'll be here.
Keiko: Nani? Nande? (sad and surprised)
Sesshoumaru: It seems the cat demons are attacking again. As the son of your grandfather, the great inu taiyoukai, I must go fight the battle. Defeat me today. Show me what you have learned.
Keiko: (blinks back tears) Hai.
You draw your sword, holding it at ready.
Sesshoumaru: Go.
You charged, attacking from all directions. You were in level five, your strongest level sword fighting. Soon enough, Sesshoumaru's sword went flying from his grasp into thenearest tree, your sword tip at his throat.
Sesshoumaru: Good job, Keiko. Train on your own. Sayonara.
Keiko: Sayonara.
He retrieved his sword and disappeared, leaving you looking forlorn. You continued training, losing track of time. It was sunset.
Keiko: *Kuso. I'm late.*
The red sky willbe enough to merely lead you through the forest to the outskirts of the village. You ran as quickly as possible, not wanting to be too late. As the night chill arrived, a sense of foreboding arrived with it. The crescent moon rose as you arrived at the village. The lights were all out.
Keiko: *Nani? Why are all the lights out?*
As you looked around, you noticed with shock that the houses were broken down and there was blood on the walls. Human blood.
Keiko:*Kuso!*
You started running, exploring thevillage. You saw all the villagersdead, but Kaede, Kikyou, Inuyasha, and a few more villagers were missing. You searched for them, not finding them, when you stumbled upon a dead body.Shadows fell on you. Looking up, you saw men in black cloaks with red clouds on the cloaks surrounding you. There wasonly one familiar face in the group,Naraku.
Naraku: Heh.Pitiful girl.
Unknown: Cowering in fear beforeus, the great Akatsuki.
Naraku: I will show you your weakness. Uchiha Itachi.
Itachi: Hai, leader. Mangekyou sharingan!
You looked into his blood red eyes, falling into his spell immediately.(Author's note: I won't be too descriptive here.)
He showed you how all the villagers died, as well as Kikyou and Inuyasha. Over and over, he showed you the gruesome images, just like what he did to Sasuke. You screamed, both in the real world and his little creation. After an eternity, you were released, lying weakly on the ground.
Naraku: Want revenge, little hanyou? Gain power. Find us. Mwahahaha.
His laugh echoed as they disappeared as suddenly as they had appeared. You stood up, and headed for home to see if there were any survivers, not having seen Kaede in the mangekyou sharingan. Nearing home, you found a living barrier between you and home of Kaede and the villagers.
Keiko: Nani?
Kaede: Leave. We don't need a worthless hanyou here. (she was being scornful)
The villagers picked up rocks and chucked them at you, adding a few scattered shouts of "Leave", and "We don't want you here". Having no choice but to leave, you turned and ran. Turning your head for a moment, you gave Kaede a glare so full of hatred that she stepped back in shock. Running, the darkness of the trees engulfed your body, the darkness of lonliness and hatred engulfing your heart and soul.
