The servants walked past the garden with their heads down. They couldn’t bear to see the young blonde in despair. The people in the Blood Pledge Castle had learnt not to disturb Wolfram when he was sitting alone in the garden, placing his gentle gaze on a new breed of flower. Since the King returned to his own world three months ago, Wolfram can always be found sitting in the garden, staring at those flowers.
The blonde sighed. The memory of the day Yuuri left came back to haunt him.
"Goodbye," was all Yuuri said before stepping into the portal, not even a glance back.
Silently, tears flowed down his beautiful cheeks. He knew very well that he was the one who asked Yuuri to go, but Yuuri could have at least take a last look at him. Was it really true that Yuuri doesn’t have any feelings towards him? Wolfram felt a tingling pain in his heart. He had always knew that Yuuri doesn’t feel the same way as he did but there's a tiny place in his heart that bears the hope that Yuuri MIGHT actually feel the same. Maybe I am the only one who felt this way, he thought.
"Wolfram-kakka, your presence is needed in the Shinnou Temple," a soldier said. Wolfram wiped away his tears swiftly. "I'll be on my way,"
Wolfram headed to the Shinnou Temple on his handsome white horse. There are mass amount of soldier carrying logs bricks walking in and out of the temple. They are reconstructing the Shinnou Temple. The temple was in a wreck condition due to the battle between Yuuri and the Shinnou, who was possessed by the spirit of the Originator.
Personally, Wolfram felt that there's no need in rebuilding a Shinnou Temple as the Shinnou is no longer here. But Ulrike make it clear that even though that the Shinnou is no longer with them, His thoughts will always rest peacefully within the Shinnou Temple. Gwendal, Gunter and Konrad all agreed with her so there is no need for Wolfram to say anything otherwise.
Wolfram made his way into the temple, looking for his brothers. He spotted them near the water fountain in the middle of the temple's ground. He felt another stabbing pain. Yuuri had traveled to this world through that fountain countless times. How he'd wish for that to happen again.
"Brother," he greeted Gwendal. "Konrad," he greeted the other. Even though his hatred towards the human race had depleted due to Yuuri's influences, he still had some internal conflicts to address Konrad as "brother". The two older men smiled at the sight of their younger brother.
"I was told that my presence is needed?" Wolfram said.
"Yes. I need a couple of your men to help out in the project," Gwendal stated. Wolfram nodded. "Of course," he replied his brother.
"And, there's another matter. Now that everything had calmed down, we need to appoint the next Maou," the grey-haired pony tailed man said. Konrad looked away with sadness in his eyes.
"But, brother-," Wolfram stated. A person other than Yuuri being the king. His king? He simply cannot imagine that.
"I quite agree with Gwendal on this one," said Gunter. "We need a king,"
"And this time, the Shinnou is not here to help us appoint one," Gwendal said.
"But, Yuuri-," the blonde started. Wolfram is devastated that Yuuri is being replaced by some unknown person.
"You understand very well that he cannot return here anymore," said Gwendal sternly though it breaks his heart watching his younger brother in this state.
"We no longer had the power of the Shinnou to bring him back," said Ulrike. "I'm so sorry I'm at no use at all," she said.
"Ulrike-,"
Just then, there is a loud splash and two figure was sitting in the fountain. Both with black hair and black eyes. Tears formed in Wolfram's eyes. His heart rejoiced. There's only one thing in his mind right now:
Yuuri had returned.
