Chapter 11 : >As darkness surrounds me, I will feel no fear (Vampire Story) Ch.8
That night I had nightmare after nightmare. I was in a field at night and pain was wracking my body, making my mind explode into the biggest migraine ever and my body become weaker by the second. There seemed to be no source of the pain, it just felt everywhere, in everycell of her being. I tried to withstand it but the pain was too much and I collapsed, writhing on the ground. I heard faint footsteps and suddenly a pair of black boots came into my sight. I tried to look up, but every time I moved, I felt like I was dying. The owner of the boots kneeled down and looked into my eyes, but my vision was too blurry and I couldn't make it out. The pain grew and grew until I woke up screaming and shivering. The mirror beside me hanging on the wall caught my sight as I laid back down, finally exhausted. On the other side of the bed reflected in the mirror was a tall black figure in the shape of the grim reaper, scythe and all. Surprisingly, I wasn't scared, too exhausted to really understand the danger I could be in. I had two other nightmares, almost all with the same guy with black boots and alot of pain. After the last nightmare, I decided to just get up and not try to sleep anymore.
Since I was only in a bra and underwear, I decided to go to the closet and find something out of my bag to wear. I came out with my favorite shirt and pair of jeans, aswell as a studded belt, and a pair of earrings.

After I was done I remembered how I had hurt Kaine last night when I told him I didn't trust him. I felt so guilty for lying to him, eventhough he was the one being a complete jerk. I had grown feelings for him in the years we had been talking online and on the phone, but she never thought he would ever try to kidnap or rape her. "I guess I should go apologize." I said to myself as I headed for the door, finding the door unlocked. The hall was completely abandoned, giving it a errie feeling that sent chills to your bones. The floor was cold under my feet and I instantly wished I had put on some socks. The only light in the hallway came from the window at the end of the hallway, which let in the moon's soft glow. I came across a flight of stairs after about 3 minutes of walking. I didn't want to wake anybody up or alert them that I was up so I tried to keep it as quiet as possible, which made me very slow in sneaking down the stairs. When I reached the bottom, I saw the front door. It seemed to taunt me, giving me an insight into my freedom, but not letting me acheive it. I had to decide whether to run, and try to get away, or go find Kaine and apologize. The door was too good to resist, and I just couldn't help trying to get back to the life I once had.
The door seemed to grow as I walked towards it. The handle was strangely cold, just as the whole house was. I opened the door and breathed in the fresh air, carried in by the wind. I had closed my eyes to enjoy the wind, but once the breeze was gone, I finally opened them. I expected to see a forest or a driveway or anything, except for my once high school teacher standing right infront of me, wiping blood off of his mouth. The scene was much more horrific than I would have previously thought. Blood has never bothered me but, seeing it all over his mouth made me cower and back away. His expression at first was slightly surprised, then turned to a little angry.
"Just what do you think your doing?" His eyes looked demonic, turning red. I had never seen such a side to him before, he always seemed so nice.
"I-I dunno..." I stumbled over my words, not knowing what to say to not get him madder.
"You were going to run." He took a couple steps into the house, closing the door behind him. "Kaine!" he called out.
I have to admit, at this point I began to panic. I didn't want vampires angry at me, especially when I had just seen one immediately after feeding. I heard footsteps coming from a hall to my left, and knew I didn't want to be here when they reached this room. Damis had stepped forward a couple feet from the front door, following me as I backed away from him. Before I even thought of it, I flung forward, sprinting as fast as I could past him and to the front door. He wasn't expecting this, which gave me enough time to actually get to the door. When I finally had my hand on the door, I felt hands around my waist pulling me back. I tried to hold onto the doorknob, but my hands were slippery and he easily pulled me away. I kicked and clawed at the hands holding me back, screaming out of frustration.
