It was a hot day in the middle of summer. A boy with black hair was seen to walk really slowly in the park. His black eyes found the grand fountain in the middle of the park. He sighed. The thought of never returning to Shin Makoku is really killing him.
"You were able to travel to Shin Makoku due to the power of the Shinnou. Now that the Shinnou is no longer here, this would be our last chance in world-traveling," Murata's voice rang in his mind.
Yuuri had found himself a bench just about a few feet away from the fountain. His eyes still fixed on the fountain. He had once traveled to Shin Makoku by the fountain. A faint smile formed on his lips. Just as face as the smile appeared, it disappeared.
"Go then, your family is waiting for you, isn't it?" Wolfram's voice appeared somewhere in Yuuri's mind. His voice a bit muffled due to the fact that he was crying.
Yuuri sighed again. The image of his blonde-haired fiancé flashed before his eyes. Yuuri remembered the last glance he took at Wolfram. The blonde stood there, as beautiful as always, with tears flowing down his cheek from his bright emerald eyes. The thought of this image felt like a stab in the heart for Yuuri. For the longest time, he had always thought of Wolfram as nothing but a nuisance. A person who always shouts at him for nothing. Just then, Yuuri can hear an echo saying, "Hennachoko!"
"Don't call me a wimp," Yuuri found himself muttering. He had never thought that he would actually miss the arrogant 80 years old brat.
His hands crept their way to a pendant hung around his neck. Yuuri looked at the pendant as tears began to shimmer in his eyes. Memories of being in Shin Makoku flashed through his mind like a movie. He missed his country. He missed his godfather, his bratty fiancé, his faithful administrator and his over-loving advisor. He missed his people. And heck, he even misses the weird cultures of the other world. A few drops of tears escaped his eyes and flowed down his cheek.
"Shibuya, I knew I could find you here," a familiar voice said.
Quickly, Yuuri wiped away the tears and looked up at his best friend, the Great Sage, Murata Ken. Murata Ken noticed that his best friend was crying but shook off the thought as he knew mentioning it would dearly kill his friend.
"So, you were looking for me?" Yuuri started the conversation as the awkward silence is killing him. Murata nodded. "I've been thinking about something," he said as he looked up at the sun. The ray of the sun caused his eyes to be hidden under the glasses. Yuuri waited for him to continue and when Murata doesn't, he spoke, "And?"
"I would like you to come with me to a place," Murata said as he stood up from the bench, gesturing Yuuri to do the same. Yuuri obediently obliged. He followed silently as Murata led their way.
The next thing he knew, they were standing at the bank of a lake. Yuuri kneeled down as he scoop the water in his cupped hands. "This lake… we went to Shin Makoku once through this lake," he said. Murata nodded behind him, once again the his eyes hidden behind the glasses which reflected the ray from the sun. "So, what is it that you were thinking about?" Yuuri asked. Just as he let go of the water cupped in his hands, he felt a strange reaction coming from the pendant Konrad gave him. He reached for the pendant, it was shinning.
"Murata, look…," the rest of his sentence unheard because at that moment, he was pushed into the lake by his best friend.
Nothing is going to happen, Yuuri thought. The Shinnou is no longer here. We cannot travel to Shin Makoku anymore.
Just as he was ready to swim his way back up to the surface of the lake, Murata jumped into the lake. Yuuri saw his friend showing him a thumbs up. Puzzled, Yuuri started to swim back up. Then, it happened. Yuuri felt as though he was being pulled by a really strong force. He looked beneath him and saw a cortex, like a black hole. He looked at Murata again, his friends was smiling. At that moment, Yuuri understood.
He is going back.
