There She Goes Again... (Nick Jonas Love Story)

Nick: “No, I mean yours.” He took my hand and said “Shannon Mackenzie Taylor, I promise you that I will wait for you forever, until you make the decision to never date me or to date me. I promise.”

And he kissed my ring. Then he gave me a peck on the cheek.

Shannon: “Now let me.” I took his left hand, fingered his ring and said “Nicholas Jerry Jonas, I promise, that I will tell you when I’m ready, the moment I figure it out and I will not date anyone else before you. Unless you tell me that you don’t want me to date you, you will always be my first and next boyfriend.”

I kissed his ring. Then I kissed his cheek. It wasn’t just a peck; it was full of love and longing. I saw his cheeks turn into a shade of scarlet.

I smiled.

Shannon’s P.O.V~

[Wow, I can’t believe I just did that without being embarrassed. I think he’s my best friend now]

Nick: “I would never say that I don’t want to date you.”

Shannon: “Aww! Nick that’s so sweet!” and I meant it.

Nick’s eyes lit up.

Nick: “I have to do something! I’ll be right back. Some errands my mom wanted me to do.”

Shannon: “uhh… Okay, I’ll go hang out with Joe.”

Nick: “You do that. Just hope when I get back, he won’t like Joey-ified you” (a/n: I’ll explain where he went in the next chapter)

~*Skip to Shannon and Joe hanging out~ Shannon’s P.O.V *~

Joe: “I’M SUPER JOEY!!! BEWARE!!”

Shannon: *laughing hysterically* “Super Joey, you’re my hero.”

Nick walks into the house. He seemed pretty pleased with himself. I decided to freak him out a little. I get up, and walk over to him swaying my hips. I can see his eyes moving to my hips.

Shannon: “Joey, dance with me?”

Joe: “Sure Shan!”

I guide his hands on my hips, while still swaying my hips. I could feel Nick’s eyes on my ass. I pull Joe into a hug with his chin resting on my shoulder.

Shannon: *whispers in Joe’s ear* “I wanna freak out Nick a little. I’m gonna act all sexy, or try and see his reaction.”

I can feel him smile against my shoulder. I take that as a yes. Joe spins me and I keep spinning towards Nick. Joe walks away. Then slow music comes on. I put my arms on Nick’s shoulders and around his neck seductively.

Shannon: “Wanna dance Nick?”

Nick: “uhh, sure?” He was already a little freaked out. I couldn’t help it. I start cracking up. “What’s up? Are you okay?”

Shannon: *laughing, trying to catch breath* “Nick! You were so freaked out! I was like pretending to be all seductive. It was funny ‘cuz you were so scared.”

Nick: “I wasn’t scared… I was in awe. I couldn’t believe how beautiful you were.”

Shannon: “Nick, I’m not that pretty, so stop.”

Nick: “Please, stop saying that you’re not pretty, because you are.”

~*FF to tonight~ Shannon’s P.O.V*~ (a/n: most of the time it’s gonna be Shannon’s P.O.V, she’s the main character)

Nick and I were sitting on his bed, just talking.

Shannon: “Nick, it’s getting late, I’m gonna change into my PJ’s”

Nick: “Okay, you just gotta model them for me” he replied with a wink.

I walk out of the bathroom wearing this:

Nick: “Wow.” He breathed

Shannon: “Nick! You’re making me self conscious!”

Nick: “whatever. Does it really matter?”

Shannon: “Uhmm… YEAH! But whatever. I’m going to go to bed”

Nick: “yeah, me too.”

Nick’s bed was against the wall, so we had to choose who sleeps where.

Nick: “Uhh, well you take the inside because if you fall off, it’ll hurt bad.”

Shannon: “I have a better idea” I said with a sly smile; trying to give hints “Why don’t I take the outside?”

Nick: “Well, if you take the outside, I'll hold onto you so you don’t fall off”

Shannon: I was trying to hide my smile. “Just what I was thinking. I was giving you hints.”

We climb into the bed. Before he can put his hands around my waist, I turn to face him.

Shannon: “Good Night Nick.”

Nick: “Night Shannon.” He kisses me on the forehead. I turn around, put his hand around my waist tightly, I pushed myself closer to Nick’s body. I felt him tense up. Then, he relaxed and tightened his grip on me.

Nick: *whispers* “Sweet Dreams, Shan”

Shannon: “I will. You too.”

I close my eyes and fall asleep with a smile on my face and Nick’s arms around my waist.

~*Shannon’s Dream*~

I woke up, lying on the ground. €

Shannon: "Hello? Anyone there?"

I looked around me and all I saw was an empty room. It was a white wall, all bare, no windows. I looked on the floor, there was only one journal. I recognized it from when I was younger. It was from last year. I flipped through it. There was one dog eared page.

I turned to that page. This is what it said.

October 27th 2007~

Dear Journal,

Hey it’s Shannon. Today is my 13th birthday. I had the most FABULOUS birthday in the world! It was so much fun! Kylie, Mitzi, Brooke, Jared, Jake, Josh, Zoey, Lila, and Amanda were there. We played tag, volleyball, and like everything else!

When I saw my cake, there were a lot of pictures on it. (it was a big cake)

That’s all of them. It was like the greatest cake in the world. I got to eat Nick. :) I blew out the candles which spelled out “HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAN!!” then in the sugar candy it said under Nick’s picture “1st fave” then under Joe’s “2nd fave” under Kevin’s “3rd fave” under the Jonas family “Great family!” under them going crazy “Wow, they’re amazing” and the photoshoot all 3 of them together “Man, they’re hot!” in the corner, it said “SHANNON LOVES NICK JONAS!” I made a wish and blew out the candles. My wish was to meet Nick Jonas and fall in love. I didn’t mean to fall in love with Nick Jonas, because that’s never going to happen, but to fall in love with someone special. Well, I have to go now.

Shannon’s P.O.V~

I sat straight up. I never had that dream before. It was a great dream.

Nick: “Shan? You okay? What’s the matter?”

Shannon: “I just had a weird dream.” I lied. I get up out of bed. “I don’t think I wanna go back to sleep. Wanna do something?” I look at my watch. It said 9:30. “Let’s go wake Kylie up.”

We walk into Joe’s room and see Kylie with her leg draped over Joe. They were both still sleeping with a smile on their face. I run and jump onto her bed.

Kylie: “AHH! JOE WAKE UP!”

Joe: “Ahh! I’m up! I’m up!”

Nick and I tumble onto the floor, laughing our heads off.

Shannon: “Kylie, we have to go change.”

Kylie and I walk into Nick’s room and close the door. We pick out our clothes.

Kylie’s ring is her purity ring.
I usually don’t wear wedges or like high heels, but I felt like something special was going to happen. When I walk downstairs, Nick and Joe were sitting on the couch, with their heads back, resting their eyes. [They are SO not morning people.] I smile at Kylie, she can read my mind. We silently walk down the stairs and walk in front of them. They didn’t know we were there. Then I finger to Kylie. 1, 2, 3! And we fall back into the couch. Nick and Joe’s heads flip up and immediately, their arms fly around our waists. But, the funny thing was that Kylie was sitting on Nick and I was sitting on Joe.

Nick looked over at Joe and saw me sitting on him. Then he looked up and saw Kylie. She smiled innocently. Then Joe understands. He sees Kylie next to him and me on top. I smile sweetly.

Shannon: “OH MY GOD! YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN YOUR FACES!”

Nick: “Well, I got excited; I thought my best friend was sitting on me.”

Shannon: “Haha.”

Joe: “And I thought my girlfriend was sitting on me.”

Nick: “Yeah.”

Shannon: “HUH? GIRLFRIEND? KYLIE HOPE TAYLOR! WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?”

Kylie: “Joe! I was gonna tell her later.”

Joe: “Oh, oops.”

Shannon: “Oh well, I’m so happy for you guys!” i pull Kylie into a tight hug.

Joe: “So, Shannon, Nick tells me that you guys made promises on each other purity rings?”

Shannon: “Yeah, just like I did to Kylie’s.”

Joe: “You promised on Kylie’s? What’d you promise?”

Shannon: “Well we promised that we would always talk about our problems to each other and never backstab. You can only take what each other wants IF that other person gives you approval.”

Joe: “That’s cool. Now what did you promise to Nick?” Nick opens his mouth to speak.

Shannon: I cover Nick’s mouth before he could say anything. “That is none of your business, and you’ll never find out.” I give Nick a "don't-tell-anyone-or-I'll-kill-you-personally" look

~*Later ~ Kylie and Shannon talking privately in the kitchen ~ Shannon’s P.O.V~

Kylie: “You’re gonna tell me what you guys promised each other right?”

Shannon: “Duh! Ok so Nick and I were in his room, and we were getting to know each other better. Like talking.

~*Shannon’s Flashback*~ (a/n: Shannon is reliving it while describing it to Kylie)

I sang “Appreciate” for him and then our conversation went like this:

Nick: “Wow. You’re… amazing.”

Shannon: *blushes* “Thanks.*

Nick: “Why do you always blush when I compliment you? Don’t be embarrassed, be proud.” I just blushed harder. “I’ve told you this before, but you’re cute when you blush. I’ve only known you for a little while, but I feel like I’ve known you all my life.”

Shannon: “Thanks for saying I was cute, I don’t usually feel that, I think I’m actually ugly and I feel like I’ve known you forever too.”

Nick: “You’re not ugly. You are the prettiest girl I’ve ever known.” I give him a hug.

Shannon: “Nick, do you like me? As in, Like me like me?”

Nick: “Truth is, yeah, I do.”

Shannon: “You know… I like you a lot too. Like, I REALLY like you. But, I’m sure Joe told you about Jared.”

Nick: “Yeah, Joe told me. And I can’t believe someone would do that to you. I’m okay that you don’t want to date me. At least I know.”

Shannon: “it’s not that I don’t want to date you, because I really do. But, I’m scared. I know you would never do anything to hurt me, but I’m afraid of the girls that would want you. That sounds so much like what Jared said to me, but Jared was just making up excuses, but i really mean it. I'm not usually a jealous person, but i get annoyed easily. I don’t know if I can take that. But I really do want to date you. Can we wait a little?”

Nick: “Yeah, I’d be willing to wait for you. I promise. I’ll swear on your purity ring.”

Shannon: “You mean your purity ring?”

Nick: “No, I mean yours.” He took my hand, traced his finger around my ring, over and over again and said “Shannon Mackenzie Taylor, I promise you that I will wait for you forever, until you make the decision to never date me or to date me. I promise.” And he kissed my ring. Then he gave me a peck on the cheek.

Shannon: “Now my turn.” I took his left hand, fingered his ring and said “Nicholas Jerry Jonas, I promise, that I will tell you when I’m ready, the moment I figure it out and I will not date anyone else before you. Unless you tell me that you don’t want me to date you, you will always be my first and next boyfriend.” I kissed his ring. Then I kissed his cheek. It wasn’t just a peck; it was full of love and longing. I saw his cheeks turn into a shade of scarlet.

I smiled.

Kylie: “AWW! That’s so cute!”

Shannon: “it was like so sweet too! Now tell me about you and Joe.”

Kylie: “Well, first of all, sis, I’m real proud of you ‘cause you’re still making sure that he’s the right guy. And when you guys went upstairs, Joe and I finished watching the movie. Then, right at the end, when I was crying ‘cause it was a sad movie, he lifted my chin with his index finger, wiped my tears off my cheeks and said softly ‘Kylie, will you be my girlfriend?’ but I couldn’t hear him and I thought what little bit of it I heard was wrong, so I was like ‘what?’ and he was like ‘Will… you…be… my… girlfriend?’ and I jumped up and screamed ‘YES! YES! A MILLION TIMES YES!’ and he wrapped me in a hug and swung me around.”

Shannon: “Aww. That’s so romantic in a Joe kind of way.”

Nick, Kevin, and Joe walk into the kitchen.

Joe: “hey babe, go outside and play. We’re making lunch.”

Kylie: “Okay. Make my favorite! TURKEY SAMMICH! (Turkey Sandwich)”

Shannon: “Aight, See ya peoples!”

Kylie and Shannon go into the living room. Frankie is there playing with Webkinz.

Shannon: “FRANK MONSTER!”

Frankie: “MACKY!!!!” (Mackenzie is Shannon's Middle name FYI) Frankie runs up to me and swings his arms around my neck and wraps his legs around my stomach. I pick him up. Then I set him down and tickle him.

Nick’s P.O.V~

While we were fixing lunch, Joe was explaining how he asked Kylie out.

Nick: “Hey Kevin, by the way, how are you and Mitzi?”

Kevin: “it’s going good, I asked her out.”

Nick: “And…?”

Kevin: “She said yes.”

Joe: “So when are you gonna ask Shannon out?”

Nick: “When she tell me she’s ready.”

Joe: “What do you mean?”

Nick: “My promise to her on her purity ring. It was that I’ll wait for her until she’s ready.”
Joe: “Ohh! Because of Jared right?”

Nick: “Yeah.”

We walk back into the living room holding the sandwiches we made for lunch. Shannon was tickling Frankie. I sneak up behind her and start tickling her. She immediately stopped tickling Frankie and started squirming around.

Shannon: “NICK! STOP THAT! HAHAHAHAHA!”

Nick: “NEVER!! (But he said it like NEVAH!) SAY THAT NICK JONAS IS THE SEXIEST GUY YOU’VE EVER MET IN THE WORLD!”

Shannon: I immediately stopped squirming. I didn’t feel him tickling me anymore. “I don’t have to. I believe it with all my heart.” I said seriously.

Nick: “Oh… well…”

Kylie: “Okay then…”

Shannon: “I’m sorry… I was just telling you that I didn’t feel that it was necessary.”

Nick: “Ha ha! It’s okay.” He pulled me into a hug. By the way, we are OFFICIAL. OFFICIAL best friends!

I sighed. I admit, it felt good in his arms.
