Fate's Cruel Twist I

Well here we are at my school in a Viper with some nice bass. Listening to Serj Tankian Empty Walls while pulling up to the student parking. I never knew how much a car could change someone’s attitude towards you then you can have everyone know you as a rich spoiled kid. Oh well they are just jealous and it’s not mine plus I know that it’s not true. So everything is ok. ”Well now Aster do you have a schedule yet or are you really going to be following me everywhere?”

“As I walk here I’ve noticed that everyone was starring at us. Any reason why?”

“Mainly that Viper, it’d cause everyone to wonder how much money people really have. Now I’m curious, how do you have a Viper in the first place?

“Well the family tends to get what they want, ya know?

“Yeah I suppose I do”

Well school that day was new. Miami Dade High was always like a rich white school only for the smartest. Seeing a loner student here was rare. So everyone always looked at me and always judged me. But with Aster here they truly looked at me differently.

Lunch finally rolled around and then I went over to the field to be alone with some crazy acquaintances, Joe being one of them.

“Hey, you selling any more food today? Auren asked. Also who’s the emo chick? Auren was always a party type girl who loved to be noisy. “So she your new girl?”

“Naw she just a fan girl of mine that I can’t get rid of. So I said that as long as she didn’t bother me she could tag along. Also I’m always open but you still have a tab to pay me”

“Dude you left your phone at my place” a voice called from behind. It was Joe, he walked pass me and tossed me my cell while doing a 360.

“Yeah I know but I needed a break from thing, ringing ever 5 minutes.”

“So are they your friends Koori? Aster asked.

“If you want to call them that.” Jose’ steps up to Aster to introduce himself.

“Hey there! My name is Jose’, what’s yours sweet thing?” Aster turns around and looks away from Jose’ and just ignores him as if he’s done something bad to her.

“I’m sorry but I don’t associate myself with people… unless it’s Koori, right Koori?”

“Sadly so” I had to sit down, I was feeling really dizzy, like I was dehydrated. I was sweating crazily like I had a round against a K-9 pack in the hood.

“Koori are you ok?” Aster asked franticly.

“I feel so hot, like I’m melting.” Everyone else showed up from cafeteria with their trays of food to only see Aster over me while I was collapsed on side of the hill while Jose’ and Auren was walking toward me. Joe was running up the hill from the field. Only Aster could see my frosty cold breath coming from me.

“So it begins” Aster says.

“Another side affect from me waking up?”

“Yeah I’ll take you back home ok? Who do you trust the most out here to carry you out to the car without asking about your body temp?”

“No one” I tried to get up and go to my next period but through my black shades I could see that this was out of the option. Aster’s usual friendly eyes turned serious for once. She just let me get up though. As if knowing something that I didn’t. Even though I didn’t care I still expected her to oppose me in my judgment. Then I realized what happened. We were ambushed on an empty field far from the school. No one else was there except for the 10 of us not including me and Aster. Almost all of them at once the guys from the cafeteria fell to the ground then Auren and then Jose’. Joe stopped where he was as if he could all of this happening, I could already tell that these people were after either me or Aster and that the others are just bystanders. I could also tell that they weren’t on my side. They smelled of blood and were very strong. They were vampires.

“Wha…what’s going... on?” Joe said.

“Aster I assume that they are friends of yours so I leave you to them.” I started back towards the till they broke up into two groups like I thought they would. There were 6 of them. 3 on me 2 on Aster and one as a look out I think hidden in a tree. I couldn’t see that one but I could feel a presence there. Either way we were surrounded at the worse time ever. Now I was a little more cautious of what was going on. They stopped with speed movements and walked like me. One was at my 12, 4, and 7 o’clock.

“What’s wrong with you mutt? Scared? Can’t fight with us? Or do you think that you’re too good for us?”

“Naw I’m not scared of some crazy people that want me dead that took out all of my clients.”

“Smart ass.” Then the one at my 12 moved straight towards me trying to take me out in one punch. I saw it coming so I caught his fist and was amazed. He started to yell in pain and fell. His whole arm turned to ice then shattered with blood and blood sickles everywhere.

“Dante’!!! You bastard, I’ll kill you.” Another one came for me. I assumed that it was the one from my 7 I crouched down and did a round house once he got within my range. He got hit right in side of his face then waist after I hit him with the side of my fist on a pressure point. It felt weird though, felt as if I stabbed him. I pulled my fist back to find a blade of ice in my hand made from water and blood from the first vamp.

“Well now isn’t this surprising? I wasn’t expecting this now” I only had one more to deal with. That is if the other two gave up. The vamp from my 4 charged at me head on then jumped over me expecting me to kick him too. This time I jumped up him then ax kicked him down to the summit of the hill on the fence. Joe was panicking about everything. About how everything was turning out. Aster turned into a werewolf to fight off her 2 opponents. “Joe man if you want to live you’ll hurry up back to the school, take some of the others back and I’ll cove you.” Then the look out appeared behind me and nearly knocked me out.

“You were a handful but still a rookie. It’s a shame that they got to you first though by sacrificing there own.” Then black ooze surrounded us as it brought us to some giant mansion and it was night time. I passed out after that.
