Now Tell me the Truth, Do You Love Me?
Chapter 12 : Now Tell me the Truth, Do You Love Me? (That LAST chapter)
I know it hasen't been long, but this is then end of the story. 11 Chapters. Its because I pre-wrote this. Anyway, I might do a sequal... I might not. Anyway, this is the end. Its rather interesting... “Are you done?” Zane asked loud enough for her to hear. “I am paying for them now.” Sara replied back. She could hear Zane sigh. “Are you here with our boyfriend?” The cashier, whose name was Melba, asked. She had a New Yorker’s accent. “Oh, no, he is just a friend…” Sara said. Secretly she wished Zane was her boyfriend again. Zane walked up to her and stood next to her. “Hello, ahh… Melba!” Zane said happily. “Hello, ahh…” Melba didn’t know what to say. “Zane.” Zane replied. “Hello Zane.” Melba said. “That will be thirty five dollars and twenty three cents.” Melba said. Sara was about to get out her check book, but Zane already placed the bills on the counter. “Zane…” Sara whispered. “Not a boyfriend huh? Well, dear, you have got yourself a fine friend.” Melba said. She winked at Sara signaling. Sara rolled her eyes. “Yeah, ok, sure.” Sara replied. “Let’s go.” Sara said. She grabbed Zane’s arm and rushed him out of Victoria Secret. Zane and Sara drove home. The conversation in the car was mostly about what happened in Victoria Secret. “What was that girl talking about when she said that I wasn’t your boyfriend?” Zane asked. “Nothing… don’t worry about it.” Sara replied bitterly. “Sara…” Zane warned. “What? Why do you care?” Sara asked. “Why are you so defensive?” Zane replied. “Why do you assume that I am being defensive?” Sara yelled. “You are being defensive! If you weren’t then why did you purposefully not answer the question?” Zane asked. “She asked me if you were my boyfriend.” Sara replied in a soft tone. “Was that so hard to say? Are you embarrassed of me? What if I really was your boyfriend? Would you be too embarrassed to say that I am your boyfriend in front of people?” Zane asked. “We went out for four years didn’t we?” Sara asked. Zane didn’t respond. There was a long pause before Zane began to speak. “Sara… I never wanted to break up with you. I was so happy to tell people you were my girlfriend…” Zane said, but he couldn’t finish. It was too hard for him too. “Zane… I never said that I was embarrassed to call you by boyfriend… I just wasn’t sure… what would happen…” Sara explained. There was a silence between the two of them. “You sound like you want to be my boyfriend because you got pretty mad over what happened in the store.” Sara said. Zane didn’t reply.
They pulled into the driveway and got out of the car. Sara grabbed her shopping bags and Zane grabbed his. The two of them walked into the apartment. “Zane… you never said anything after what I told you…” Sara said. She sat her bags down by the couch and took a seat on it. “You know I want to be your boyfriend again… you know I still love you, so I figured I wouldn’t have to reply.” Zane said while taking a seat next to Sara. He looked her in the eye. “The question is: do you want to be my girlfriend again?” Zane asked. Sara didn’t answer quickly.
“Yes.”
Zane moved in for a kiss. Sara kissed him back. “I love you.” Zane said softly. “And that is the truth.” Zane added.
Zane Washington and Sara Wellington, now Sara Gregory, dated for about three years before getting married. Sara Gregory went from Sara Wellington to Sara Washington. Sara and Zane lived in the same apartment before they got married for four years. Sara and Zane began looking for houses when they decided they wanted to settle down and try to have like two or three kids. They searched for a home for about a month before finding the perfect one. It had three bathrooms, one master bath, one master bedroom, three other bedrooms, a living room, a den, a kitchen, a bar/arcade room, a spa room, and an outdoor pool.
