On with the story!
Jasper suddenly leaned forward and pressed his lips against her's. It was like tasting chocolate for the first time, sweet, surprising, and very addicting.
She kissed back as his arm wrapped gently around her back. As she kissed him she suddenly had a flash of his pain, his torture, how much pain it took to change into the wolf form, how much he wish he could be human once again. But then all of that whipped away and she had a very sudden flash of Matic's face, angry and frowning.
OH GOD! She pushed him away, her mind screaming at her. What had she just done? Her eyes traveled down to the battle, capturing one form starring back at her.
Matic.
"Oh, god." Natasha whispered as her hand was at her lips.
Lips that had just betrayed.
She was frozen as she stared at Matic. His eyes confused, hurt, and angry. He grabbed a man running by and tore his whole body in half.
His eyes never left her once.
He stood there for a second just staring at her, then his eyes flicked to Jasper and he turned away from her, marching up the hill, killing as he went.
"No! NO! MATIC!" Natasha screamed as she jumped from the tree. She couldn't focus, she saw the ground come at her, but couldn't make her feet come to meet it. She slammed into the ground, her arm popped out of it place in her shoulder. She screamed as she got up and pushed it back in. She forced her self to move. She ran toward the place where she had last seen Matic walking toward.
"MATIC! PLEASE!" He was lost to her in the battle. Tears streamed down her face as she fought through the crowd, desperate to find him.
Matic pushed through the crowd in a daze. He couldn't believe what he had just seen. He didn't want to believe it.
"Hello son." Matic snapped his head up to see his father standing in front of him.
"Leave me alone." He turned away from his father, his thoughts too clogged to care.
"Oh come on now, even your mother put up a better fight." Matic stopped in his tracks, not turning back to him.
"She screamed in the end. Just to let you know. She died for this measly coven. All she had to do was say yes and marry me. I've gotta say, she held through to the end. She was always consistent. Unlike you. She always put up a fight, even when I raped her." Matic turned around his eyes finally seeing the truth. His father had killed her.
"You killed my mother!?" His father just smiled.
"Yes, it wasn't that much fun, actually she wouldn't give even a little. Not even after all I did to her, she still said no."
"BAS.TERD!" Matic attacked his father, spring onto him. His father easily pushed him away and punched him across the face.
"Come on Matic, you can do better than that." Anger boiled up inside Matic as he turned on his father.
All he saw were flashes of his mother dead body, then Natasha, her lips pressed against that dog. He thrashed it all out against his father. When his mind finally cleared he saw his fathers body torn into pieces in front of him. His chest heaved as his anger still raged through him. Then suddenly the battle around him slowed and then stopped, every one staring at his bloody form.
"Stop this. I am your king. Get out of this forest, all of you! Dispose of the wounded, anyone that disagrees can speak to me."
Natasha heard his voice ring out over the suddenly still crowd. However he was still hidden from her, she couldn't see him, couldn't touch him. She tried to make her voice work through the sobs, nothing came. She saw the crowd part for him as he started walking toward her.
"MA- MATIC!" She forced herself to speak. He looked down at her, his eyes black, cold, empty, his face frozen in a scowl. It didn't change as he looked at her. Ho only paused for a moment taking in her meek form.
She had never seen his eyes that empty, that void of any emotion. He stared at her lifeless. Then he blinked slowly and looked away from her. He kept walking.
Her legs gave out from under her.
She was nothing to him. There was no emotion, no life, no love in those steal eyes that he had fixed her with.
She was nothing to him.
She was nothing with out him.
Her body felt torn, empty. Tears rolled down her face, unrestrained, as her mouth hung open, bring no air into her lungs. She leaned forward and watched as her tears sunk into the ground, wishing she could do the same. To just sink into nothing and disappear.
"Matic…" She barely whispered out as her life drifted from her soul.
She betrayed him.
Betrayed herself.
Betrayed their love.
She wanted to die.
