"I love Matic." She whispered to herself, feeling slightly guilty for her thoughts. "I love him." She said again, closing her eyes and breathing in the scent of the forest.
They were coming.
Natasha watched as Jasper jumped up into the trees just in time. The other eight men were covered by the leaves. Natasha watched as Matic lead his forces through the trees. And just like they had planned his father's coven was chasing right after them. Natasha watched as the vampires ran passed, ready to pounce. Suddenly her eyes were drawn to a stopped form, he was looking up in the trees. That's when she pounce. He saw her and before he could even get his gun out she was on top of him. She bit into him, letting her blood lust rise. As she drank she felt her strength grow. She left his body and pounced on one running by. She tore his head off, and then ran to another and another killing each as she swiftly worked, it didn't take long till she was covered in blood.
She pulled her hand out another chest. That’s when she saw it.
A silver arrow.
It flew so slowly toward her, yet she felt like she couldn't move. Then some one crashed into her, hard. She opened her eyes from laying on the ground and saw Jasper on top of her. She looked up into his eyes, shocked.
"Are you alright?" He asked loudly over the sudden battle noise. Natasha just nodded as he got up off of her. He swatted down a vampire as it passed, as if it were just a fly to kill. He looked back at her.
"Why did you save me?" He frowned as he looked her up and down.
"Matic would have killed me if anything happened to you." Natasha blinked back that shock and tried to turn her mind back to the battle that was going on around her. A vampire suddenly crashed into Natasha. He was strong and she screamed as she felt his teeth dig into her. She felt him wretched off of her. She looked up to see Jasper again. He leaned down and easily picked her up. He bent his knees and jumped into the trees. He landed on a thick tree branch. He set her down and moved her leather strap away to see the wound.
"I'm fine." She said looking at him frowning. Already the wound was starting to heal.
He looked into her eyes, his eyes full of worry. The first real emotion she had seen in those eyes. "What is it about you?" She whispered out, as she was once again captured by just his presence. She felt her stomach contract as butterfly's flew with out her consent.
He suddenly leaned forward and pressed his lips against her's. It was like tasting chocolate for the first time, sweet, surprising, and very addicting.
She kissed back as his arm wrapped gently around her back. As she kissed him she suddenly had a flash of his pain, his torture, how much pain it took to change into the wolf form, how much he wish he could be human once again. But then all of that whipped away and she had a very sudden flash of Matic's face, angry and frowning.
OH GOD! She pushed him away, her mind screaming at her. What had she just done? Her eyes traveled down to the battle, capturing one form starring back at her.
Matic.
"Oh, god." Natasha whispered as her hand was at her lips.
Lips that had just betrayed.
