We sat on the sidewalk in front of my house under the burning hot sun.
"Why does it have to be so hot?" My best friend groaned.
"It's summer, kiddo. That's usually the case."
I sipped my Dr.Pepper and looked up at the lack of clouds in the sky.
"Do you think it's going to happen today?"
"Maybe." She shrugged, taking a sip of her own soda.
I sighed heavily. "Do you think it's ever going to happen?"
"I know it's going to happen eventually, have you seen how he looks at you? It's just a matter of him getting up the nerve."
I smiled at the thought of what she just said actually being true.
"I hope it's soon."
"For your sake, so do I."
I laughed.
All I've been doing was waiting, and I was sick of it. I was tired of waiting for him to make a move.
"That's it!" I exclaimed, smiling.
"What?"
"I've been waiting all this time for him to make a move, when I've had the nerve to do it all along."
"Oh, Jesus."
I just laughed and stood up.
"I'll see you later."
And then I began to run.
Everything was moving by in a blur, but my feet knew where they were taking me, and soon I was on his doorstep.
I knocked, and he answered.
"Minnie?"
I smiled at him.
"Ryan, will you be my boyfriend?"
He grinned. "Yeah, I'd like that."
Then he connected out lips.
"You know I've been trying to get up the nerve to do that for a long time?" He asked.
I laughed. "Yeah, I know. I just got tired of waiting."
When the moon fell in love with the sun, all was golden in the sky. ♥
Once again, I'm sorry for how long it took.
I had major writers block D:
