Arai Ookami. A Journey North to South
Chapter 2 : Arai Ookami. A Journey North to South. ~Chapter 2~
"Dari stood there, not angry, just standing. He knew as well as everyone else, that those words forever changed your life."
You had never been so important for the Clans. To you, life was just a breeze. You watched other men of the village get awards for various deeds. Your feelings melted, as a new, happier feeling sunk in. The feeling of pride.
"I accept the mission," You declare.
"You didn't really have a choice. . ." Dari mumbles.
"Thank you for the honor of such a deed! Thank you!" You say, meaningfully.
"You should start packing. It is a two month journey,"
"I will!"
You might be a little over-excited, because this journey, you will soon find out, is full of confusion, deceit, and sadness.
You start thinking, 'What if something bad happened to SouthClan? What will I do?' "What if, when I'm too far away to come back, things end up uneventful? What if they are just ignoring us?' A lot of things drifted through your mind, but only one was surprising.
'What if I die?'
You had never been really. . . fond of death. You have been told stories of it, but you never have seen it. You hear of young kin dying, but never really wanted to look. Some of the village folk, like Jdana, were surprisingly fond of death. You couldn't understand why that could be someone's wish.
Death.
You have heard stories of depressed people who go in the waters and never come out. There was only once you had close encounters with death, but it is uncertain. Her name was Klaiena, she was your best friend through your childhood. She
had hated Clan life. She had dreams of being on her own, but one day, he found a note on his bedding, and it said:
'I am sick of this Clan life. I can't believe how anyone can. There's wolves everywhere, almost no privacy. I have gone to the MainLands. I will be back in 2 or 3 weeks.
See ya then!
Klaiena'
You missed your red-headed friend. . .
"Are you ready to go?" Broke your daze.
"Yes, just a minute," You replied to Dari.
