i woke up at the place i was staying, it was kind of like a boarding school for kids who are up for adoption. i had been there only a week now and i was already adopted. they were really nice here. my social worker, lisa, had taken me shopping the first day i was here, and payed for everything. i was being sent to my new home today. i was excited but realy nervouse. i woke up at 7:30 and jumped in the shower.
i did my hair and makeup and put on this shirt and some skinny jeans and some blue flip flops and my white studded belt i always wear. i put some perfume i got too that i always wear on and a necklace with a star on it. i grabbed my bags i had packed the night before and went down to the lobby where lisa was waiting.
"you look beautiful sweetie"she smiled warmly. i loved her smile, it made me feel so safe.
"thanks" i smiled back.
"i got you all signed out, have you said bye to your friends ?"she asked
"no, can i please, real quick" i said
"of coarse darling"she smiled and took my bags to put them in the car. i went to the lounge where all my friends were.
"guys, i came to say bye" i said, kind of sad
"bye kendal, we'll all miss you" rory, my best friend since i was in that horrible buisiness said. they all gave me a huge hug
"rory, when i get to there im going to call you ever day ok ? and youll know my number so if you get out, call me ok ?" i said hugging her
"ok i love you kendra"she smiled
"love you too babe" i said and kissed her cheek and we parted. i walked slowly to the maine entrance and said bye to the secratary and got into the car with lisa
"are you gunna be ok"she asked
"yeah"i smiled. we started our ride to cali.

"Josh come down here please !" my mom called. i went downstairs and to my mom
"yeah mom" i said
"listen, your new sister is comeing today.
shes been through hell and back josh so please, please make her feel welcome and apart of the family, rember what i told you"she said trailing off
"yeah i know mom" i said, remeber how this chick was some slave trade person and they rescued her in italy.
"alright thank you hunny"my mom smiled and i went back upstairs. i cant even begin to imagine what she went through. i was having some friends over today. they already know about her and what she has been through too. i hope shes a cool chick...

about an hour later we arived at these people's house.
it was a huge house. it looked really nice. i wonder where this lady had gotten the money. i knew she was a single mom cause i had made the request of living with just a mom cause of i kinda feared men now.
"alright kendra, were here"lisa smiled. i got my bags outta the trunk and we went to the front door and lisa rang the door bell. the door opened and a woman with blond hair who was looking like she was in her 30s, really pretty, opened the door.
"oh, you must be kendra"she smiled and hugged me tightly. i returned the favore
"nice to meet you ms hill" i said shyly
"oh please, sweetie, call me barbra, or barb"she smiled warmly. i really liked her already
"ms hill, i will be stopping bye randomly in the month to see how she is"lisa said
"ok sounds good
"alright kendra, looks like this is where i say bye"she smiled to me
"bye lisa, thanks for everything" i hugged her
"bye bye hunny "she said hugging me back, then she left
"alright kendra, ill show you your new room. let me take a bag"barb said and took one of my bags. we walked up the stairs and down the creamed colored hallway and stopped at a door. barb opened it and the room was pretty big. it had white carpet and cream walls, and a queen sized bed and it was really bright
"im taking you shopping tomorrow so we'll also bye paint and bed sheets so you can decorate ok ?" barb smiled excitedly
"oh, thank you" i smiled
"no problem hunny. why dont you unpack then ill introduce you to my son and daughter ok ?" she said
"alright sounds good" i said and she left for me to unpack.
it only took me about 20 minuts cause i didnt have that much. but i sat on my bed and took everything in for about 15 minuts. this place was really nice. and i was really likeing it so far. i decided to go downstairs so i got up and went. i walked down the stairs and barb was in the kitchen making something that smelt really good while watching the food chanel.
"hey" i smiled as i sat at the island
"oh hey kendra. hold on lemmy get josh and amy"she said and went upstairs. 2 minuts later she came down with two kids. one lookd a lil older than me, and the girl looked like 9 years old
"ok kendra, this is my son josh"she said
"hey"he smiled. he was pretty cute
"hi" i said back shyly
"and this is my daughter, amy"she said
"hi !" amy smiled
"hi " i laughed a little
"ok well josh is only a year older than you so i would think you two will be with each other a lot"barb smiled.
"hey im having some friends over later, wana chill with us ?" josh asked me
"oh yeah sounds good" i smiled

i came downstairs and saw her. she was really pretty. she was actually gorgeous. she looked really like, i dont know, scared. i know she was smiling but her eyes just loooked like, broken. i felt bad for her. she was so fragile looking too. she seamed really nice too. she would fit in with us, shes our style. i couldnt wait to introduce her to my friends.

me and josh went upstairs and to his room
"so what kind of music do you listen to ?"he asked
"well i started listeing to things like pathway to providence, underoath, jimmy eat world, paramore, stuff like that" i said
"oh theyre all good. have you ever heard of comeback kids ?"
"no"
"oh you should, theyre really good"he said. we talked for a long time and got really comfortable with each other. then there was a knock on his door
"yep" he said and it opened. about 4 kids came in.
"hey josh" a girl said
"hey guys, this is my new sister, kendra, kendra this is hollie, tyler, miles and joe" he said
"hey" they all said
"hi" i smiled.
"hey hollie, take my car and go to dunkin donuts " tyler said
"alright" she smiled
"kendra come with me ?" she said
"yeah sure" i smiled and we went to the car
"so how do you like it here ?"she asked me
"oh i love it, everyones so nice"
"yeah you loook like you'll fit in just fine"she smiled
"are any of thems your boyfriend ?" i asked
"them ! hah no way. were best friends and thats it. but i still love them all to death"she smiled
"ohh i see"
"why do you have your eye on someone"she smiled
"eh maybe" i said laughing
"ohh spill"she laughed too
"tylers kinda cute" i said
"oh yeah you seem like his type. hes single too" she smiled
"oooh good " i laughed. we got to DDs and ordered for ourselves and everyone. we drove back and talked. shes really nice. when we got back we went up to joshs room and gave everyone their coffee and me and hollie sat next to each other. i felt the most comfortable around her and josh so far .
"so kendra how do you like it here ?"tyler asked
"oh its nice i really like it" i smiled
"thats good"he said with a smile. he was really hott. and i mean really.
