**No One's POV**
"JOEY GET IN HERE NOW!" Jamie screamed clinging onto Nick as if her life depended on it.
"Did you hear that?" Joe asked Kevin.
"Yeah, it was Jamie. Come on."
The two boys ran as fast as they could back to the front door.
"J, are you okay?" Joe asked running over to his girlfriend and hugging her tightly.
"I want to leave now Joe." She said unable to control the tears falling from her eyes.
"What's going on?" Kevin asked.
Tiffany and Bridget were staring blankly at the front door, so Nick spoke.
"It seriously flew out of no where." Nick said pointing to the ax lying near the door. "It almost hit Jamie right in the head. If B hadn't have seen it first, and Tiff hadn't pushed J away from me, she'd have gotten her head chopped off."
"Oh my gosh, J." Joe began. "I'm so sorry I wasn't here to protect you. Come on, I promise we're leaving now. This isn't funny anymore."
Jamie nodded and the two walked towards the closed front door.
"It won't open!" Jamie yelled tugging at the knob.
"Let me try," Joe said attempting to open the door. "AHH!" He yelled kicking it. "It won't budge."
"You mean we're stuck in here?" Tiffany asked.
Joe nodded. "Looks like it."
"Whoever got us here, had no intention of us leaving." Nick said picking up the ax from the floor. "If there is some sick twisted freak in here, I am not leaving this lying around."
Kevin nodded to Nick indicating he agreed with Nick's idea.
"Guys, we should probably figure out if there is some other way out." Kevin suggested. "I say we split up in pairs of two."
"NO WAY!" Bridget yelled. "You didn't see what happened when you and Joe left. We aren't splitting up again."
"You guys all have your phone right?" Kevin asked.
Everyone nodded.
"Then we'll keep in touch through text. If anyone sees anything, or anything happens we'll text everyone else."
Relunctantly Bridget agreed.
Everyone split up in pairs of twos. Joe and Jamie, Nick and Bridget, Tiffany and Kevin.
**TIFFANY AND KEVIN**
"Kevin why were you and Joe gone so long?"
"Promise you won't freak out anymore?" Kevin asked as he and Tiffany began climbing the dining room stairs.
"I am already scared out of my mind. I don't think anything you say can freak me out more."
"Well, Joe and I found a note. It said let the games begin."
"Are you serious?" Tiffany asked stopping at the landing and facing Kevin. "You mean someone is playing a joke on us?"
"Well you read the note we got back at my house. Obviously someone wanted us all here, and they didn't intend on us leaving."
"This is crazy." Tiffany said taking ahold of Kevin's hand. "You better protect me."
Kevin nodded and squeezed her hand tightly. "I am not going to let anything happen to you." He said.
**Joe and Jamie**
"I am staying right here." Jamie said folding her arms across her chest. "I am not moving from this spot."
"Jamie come on." Joe pressed. "We are in charge of looking on this level. Be glad Nick didn't chicken out on the basement."
"There is no way I'd ever go down there. I don't care if there is a million dollars sitting at the bottom. That little girl was found down there, and there is NO WAY I would set foot near there."
"Well we don't have to. That is Nick and Bridget's job." Joe said offering his girlfriend his hand.
"Come on, I promise I won't let go the whole time."
Jamie nodded and took Joe's hand.
"Joey, I am so freaked."
"I know, me too." Joe confessed. "I don't think I have been more scared in my entire life."
**Nick and Bridget**
"Remind me again why we have to go in the murderous basement?" Bridget asked clinging onto Nick's arm.
"Because I'm the one with the ax."
"Oh, that reassures me so much. You would never be able to hurt someone intentionally no matter if your life depended on it or not."
"Shut up," Nick said. "I can defend myself pretty well."
Bridget laughed. "Sure you can Nicky. Sure you can."
"Come on," Nick said descending the stairs. "Let's look for a light."
Nick kept walking, but was pulled back because Bridget had yet to move.
"B, come on. What's up?" Nick asked turning around.
She pointed her finger behind Nick, her eyes wide.
Nick turned around and froze.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!!" Bridget and Nick both screamed.
"Move!" Nick yelled turning around as fast as he could.
Bridget still screaming flew up the stairs as fast as she could.
Nick followed and when they both reached the second floor, slammed the basement door shut and locked it.
"Are you guys okay?" Joe asked running over to them a few seconds later.
"Yeah, we heard you all the way on the other side of the house."
"She's...She's..." Bridget began but couldn't finish her sentence. She was shaking uncontrollably and fell to her knees.
"B, it's okay." Jamie said rushing to her friend. "Just tell us what happened."
Bridget shook her head no and looked up at Nick. Tears were streaming down her face.
"KEV, TIFF, GET DOWN HERE NOW!" Joe yelled. "Nick, can you tell us what happened?"
Nick took a deep breath and nodded.
"She's here guys. She's here."
Tiffany and Kevin came running down the stairs.
"Is everyone okay?" Kevin asked.
"B and Nick are just a little shook up." Joe said.
"Tiff, will you take Jamie and Bridget to the kitchen?" Joe asked. "Get something to drink to calm B down."
Tiffany nodded and offered both her hands to her two friends.
The girls clutched onto one another as they walked towards the kitchen.
"Wanna tell me what's up?" Kevin asked when the girls were clearly gone.
"Kevin, remember the little girl who was murdered in the basement a few years ago?" Nick asked.
Kevin nodded. "What about her?"
"She never left."
"What?" Kevin asked.
"Kevin, she's in the basement!" Nick said yelling. "Don't believe me. I don't care! I know what I saw! Bridget saw it too!"
"I believe him Kev," Joe said. "There is no way he'd be this freaked if he wasn't telling the truth."
"What do you mean she's here?" Kevin asked.
"She's a ghost. She is in the basement."
Kevin nodded and sighed deeply.
"This is absolutely crazy."
"I know," Joe said. "Nick are you alright?"
Nick nodded. "Just don't make me go down in the basement again."
"We won't." Kevin said. "Next time Joe and I will."
Joe nodded agreeing with Kevin's statement. "Promise Nick-o."
Nick bent down and picked up the ax from the floor. "We still need this huh?" he asked.
Kevin nodded as Nick began turning the ax in his hand.
"Hey wait," Joe said grabbing Nick's arm.
"What?" Nick asked.
"What's this?" Joe asked pulling off a piece of paper on the blade side facing him.
"That was not on there before." Nick said. "I know for a fact. I checked!"
"What does it say?" Kevin asked leaning over Joe's shoulder.
"It says...which to bury...you or the hatchet?" Joe read.
