**Brooke's POV**
Kevin and I finished dinner early and decided it would be better to just stare at the stars instead of going to a movie.
We were both laying on the hood of his car, my arms wrapped around him, and his around me. It was absolutely perfect.
"I love you," I whispered as I turned my gaze towards him.
"I love you too," He replied kissing me gently.
I couldn't get enough of this feeling. I never wanted to let go. It was absolutely perfect.
"Kev, can I tell you something?" I asked looking up at him.
"You can tell me anything, anytime, anywhere, in front of anyone."
I smiled and kissed him before I spoke again.
"Remember when I was really depressed after my dad got remarried?"
"Yeah," Kevin said now looking down at me.
"Thanks,"
"For what?" he asked trying to hide his smile.
"For always being there for me. I don't think I'd be here right now if it wasn't for you."
"Brooke, I don't know where I'd be if I never met you either. We're even."
I laughed and pushed his arm.
"Way to totally ruin everything I was trying to say."
"Sorry, but if you were confessing I wanted to confess too."
"We are the two biggest saps in the entire world...and we found each other." I said laughing.
"And I wouldn't have it any other way." Kevin said kissing me again.
**Kevin's POV**
Laying here with Brooke in my arms was like holding a piece of heaven. I have heard about love, listened to endless stories about how when you are in love it is the greatest feeling in the world, but I've never actually experienced love. With Brooke, I didn't have to question it. I knew I loved her. I knew I had always loved her. She was the only person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, and I had no second thought about it.
I fumbled in my pocket for the velvet box. I had asked my mother for it before I left the house this morning. My grandmother's ring. I wanted Brooke to have it. I knew it wasn't fair that Joe or Nick would not have the chance to give it to the girl of their dreams, but I felt it was right.
I looked at Brooke who had her eyes closed and I smiled.
"Brooke can I ask you something?"
She turned towards me and sat up.
"Anything,"
I jumped off the hood of my car and grabbed her hand in mine. I pulled her to her feet and closed my eyes.
"I know this is fast. I know this is crazy. I know I'm acting like a love sick fool, but I don't care."
"What are you saying Kev?" Brooke asked cocking an eyebrow.
"Brooke, I'm saying I am in love with you. I never want to be with anyone else my entire life. I want to see you every morning when I wake up, and I want you to be the last thing I see before I sleep."
Brooke's mouth fell open and I could see her eyes begin to glisten.
"Kevin...are you saying what I think you're saying?"
I nodded as I bent down on one knee.
"Brooke Kathrine Larkin, will you marry me and make me the happiest man in the entire world?"
I bit my lip awaiting her answer.
Tears fell freely from her eyes as she placed a hand over her mouth.
"Kevin, I don't know what to say." She said trying to stop the tears from falling.
"Say yes,"
"Yes!" She screamed now unafraid to cry.
I stood up and hugged her. I kissed her as I placed my grandmother's ring on her finger.
"Kevin, I love you so much." She said hugging me again.
"I love you too."
She looked down at her ring and gasped.
"Kevin, I can't accept this ring." She said turning towards me. "This is your grandmother's. I can't wear it. It isn't right. Nick, Joe, and Frankie still have the loves of their lives waiting for them. It isn't fair if I take this."
"But I want you to have it. My mom said it was okay." I replied taking her hands in mine.
Her smile faded and she looked up at me.
"Tell you what," She said with a mysterious gleam in her eyes. "I'll wear this one until you and I go ring shopping together. Then we'll find a different one."
"What about this one?" I asked holding up her left hand.
"We'll give it to Joe. We'll make it a tradition."
"Tradition?" I asked.
"We'll forever make your grandmother's memory live on. Every time a Jonas boy asks the girl he loves to marry him, they'll give her this ring. She'll wear it until they find a new one. Then the ring will be passed on to the next in line."
"So, Joe will give it to Nick...Nick will give it to Frankie?" I questioned.
Brooke nodded. "That way, no one is left out."
"And what about Frankie? Who will he give it to?"
"Who ever has the oldest son. It will always be passed down."
I smiled and hugged her.
"I love that idea."
"I was hoping you would." She said kissing me.
When we broke apart I felt my phone vibrate.
Sorry to ruin the moment lovebirds. It's well past 1 and mom is panicking.
--Joe
I smirked and looked up at Brooke.
"Wanna go tell everyone the good news?"
She nodded and grabbed my hand.
We drove home in silence both lost in thought of how wonderful our lives were going to be.
