"It's time to start your training!" Kakashi said happily. I groaned from my spot in the grass. Yeah, I got lazy... So sue me. "But before we do that, let me explain about Chakra again!" I tuned him out as he had Sakura rant on about Chakra. I swear, even though she's really nice once you get past the fan-girly-ness, shes like a walking encyclopedia. I slipped my eyes closed, not realizing Kakashi had started the lesson.
"Aira..." Kakashi muttered, annoyed. I looked up, only to see him and inch from my face. I yelled and jumped back, my face red. "Now that I have your attention... You need to climb the tree with your Chakra," Kakashi said. I sighed, nodding.
"Is that all?" I asked. He threw a kunai at me and I catch it nimbly between my fingers.
"Slice the tree when you are about to fall to show where you were last. So far Sakura is the only one who could do it right," Kakashi said, turning his back to me so he could watch Sasuke and Naruto. "Oh, and you may want a running-"
"Like this, Kakashi?" I asked, sitting on a branch of a tree with my hands folded behind my head. His jaw dropped open momentarily.
"She climbed up when you weren't looking," Sakura explained. I yawned and laid back on the branch, ready to go to sleep.
"You know, it's really comfy up here!" I said. Then it happens. The branch snapped because I had to go and be lazy. "Crap!" I screamed, grabbing hold of another branch. "DAMN YOU KARMA! YOU SCREWED ME OVER AGAIN!" I cursed to the sky. Then the branch broke again. I closed my eyes, trying to focus Chakra into my hands and feet, but before I can I felt something wrap around my wrist.
"You may be able to mold your Chakra better than the others, but you seem to have a knack for getting yourself in trouble," Kakashi said in my ear. I looked away from him, mad that he had to save me from yet another untimely death. "You could at least say thanks..." He said, feigning little hurt. I turned back to him.
"Thanks, Kakashi..." I muttered. I pushed some chakra into my feet and stand upside-down on the branch next to him. I looked across the clearing to see Sasuke and Naruto going at it again, and Sakura staring intently at Sasuke.
"How is it that I know how to do all these things Kakashi?" I asked him curiously. He looked at me for a moment. "I don't understand... I mean, they went to an academy for Kami's sake, and as far as I know, I've never been to one, yet I can copy moves like the water clone, or the Water Dragon Bullet in a matter of seconds without any training... I don't understand..." I said.
"Copy techniques?" He asked. I forgot I hadnt told him about it.
"Remember? When you were trapped in the water prison Zabuza had cut me clean in half, yet, instead of logs or something like that falling to his feet, it was water. And when you and Zabuza were doing the hand signs for the Water Dragon Bullet jutsu, I memorized it," I explained.
"How? Without a Sharingan thats nearly im-"
"Impossible right? I know, but another thing that is impossible is that... Well..."
"Aira tell me," Kakashi said.
"Kakashi I don't think I'm from this world... I mean, my flashbacks made no sense. Bobbing my head to music I can only hear Ive never seen anything from Kohona that had those strange wires with something to plug into my ears. It doesn't make sense to me..." I whispered. I didn't want the others to hear.
"Aira don't dwell on it. If you're here, then you can only be from this world. There are no other worlds. Youre just scared is all," Kakashi said. I nodded slowly, sighing.
"That makes sense... Thanks, Kakashi-kun," I whispered. I give him a slight hug before jumping off the tree and landing next to Naruto, who had at least three bumps collecting on his head. "Naruto if you keep hitting your head you'll get a concussion, then you won't be able to train," I said, crossing my arms.
"WHAT!? I have to train! I have to get stronger!" Naruto said. I bend down to his level and bring up my index finger as if making a point.
"Then don't hit your head anymore," I said, and smiled. He nodded, looking determined to, not only stop knocking his head on the ground, but to beat Sasuke as well. I nodded and walk away to the tree Sakura is sitting under and planted myself next to her, ignoring Kakashi who was still staring at me from the tree. I leaned my head back and fold my arms behind my head as Naruto began asking Sakura for tips, knowing I'm to tired to give him any myself.
"Aira! Come with me!" Kakashi said. I opened one eye. "We're heading back while these three train. Come on," Kakashi said. I sighed and get up again.
"Have fun you three," I called over my shoulder as I walked to Kakashi. "Sayonara!"
"So what's up Kakashi? I know you didn't drag me into the middle of the forest for nothing," I said moments later, tapping my foot on the ground.
"You asked me about Naruto on the way here," Kakashi said. I nodded and looked around. I motioned towards a stump and a rock not far from us and walked over, jumping on top of the rock while Kakashi settled himself on the stump, setting his crutches to the side.
"Naruto, as I'm sure you noticed, is much... Different from most. When he was only a newborn a large demon attacked our village... The Fourth Hokage needed something to seal the spirit of the Nine Tailed Fox, or the Kyuubi, into, and the simplest thing was to seal in inside a newborn child."
"So Naruto is holding the Kyuubi in his body?"
"He's only harboring the Kyuubi's spirit. So long as the seal remains in tact, we won't have to worry about it reeking havoc on our village again." Kakashi sighed, scratching the back of his head.
"So Naruto has the healing powers of the Kyuubi?" I asked.
"That and everything else... Naruto in a way is the Kyuubi..." Kakashi avoided eye contact with me.
"But he does know about this, right Kakashi?" I asked. He says nothing. "You mean he doesn't even know-" Kakashi slapped a hand over my mouth quickly.
"No, and you can't tell him! He either finds out on his own or not at all. That's how it works out!" Kakashi hissed at me. I flinched at the harshness of his words and I pulled back slowly, refusing to look at him.
"I see... Well if you're done, Kakashi, I think I'm going to head back to the house..." I snapped. I stood and walked off, leaving him sitting at the rock.
