I sat next to Kakashi sleepily, my head nodding up and down, my body trying to convince me to sleep. I jerked back when I feel someones hand resting on my face and looked down at Kakashi.
"Go to sleep..." He told me, his visible eye half open. I shook my head.
"You're injured and you need someone to care for you..." I muttered quietly. Kakashi sighed and grabbed the wrist that was holding me up and yanked on it, causing me to fall into his chest.
"Sleep. It's an order from your sensei," Kakashi whispered. I sigh happily and curled up, using him as my pillow.
"Sensei! You're awake!" Naruto yelled. I groaned, trying to hide my face from the light that poured into the open door.
"Naruto be quiet!" Kakashi snapped.
"Aira? What are you doing? You're suppose to be taking care of him! Not sleeping on him!" Naruto laughed. I picked up an empty bottle of medicine, and with my eyes closed, hit Naruto right between the eyes.
"I'm sleeping damn it! Go away!" I snapped.
"Aira you're supposed to be healing us, not killing us," Sasuke said from the doorway, not trying to hide his humor.
"Damn it! What's a girl gotta do to get some sleep around here?" I whined, sitting up again. I looked sleepily at the door and Sakura snickering at me from behind her hand. "What?!"
"Nice hair, onne-san," Sasuke says. I looked up, but I can't see it. I lift my hand up, only to find it going in every which direction.
"I need a shower..." I muttered heatedly. "And sleep."
"Come with me." I looked up at Tsunami, Tazuna's daughter, who was smiling down at me. I nodded and stood up, only to fall over again.
"That hurt..." I muttered, rubbing my butt.
"You're bleeding!" Sakura said.
"Nooo really? I thought it was water," I snap. I sit up and look at my arm. When I fell I hit a glass bottle and it sliced my arm open. "Hey that's the one I threw at Naruto..." I muttered, before suddenly feeling more tired then before, and then passed out.
~*Third person POV*~
"AH! WHAT HAPPENED?!" Naruto screamed. Tsunami bent down and sniffed the glass.
"It's sleeping liquid..." She said, and laughed. "Sakura, help me get Aira to our room," She said. When she looked back at Aira, she's curled up next to Kakashi.
"I don't think you're getting her up anytime soon, Tsunami-san. Just leave her," Kakashi said.
"Are you sure Sensei?" Sakura asked.
"She'll be fine," Kakashi said. She nodded and walks out, ushering everyone with her. Kakashi looked down at Aira as she stirred to move her head so it's resting just a few inches away from his face. He reached his hand up slowly and stroked her hair gently.
"K... Kakashi..." She muttered in her sleep. He looked down at her, shocked that she said his name in her sleep. "You... Scared me... You... Dork..." His face fell slightly and his eye twitched. Aira stirred again and moved, turning her back to him and curling up into a ball to keep warm. Kakashi pulled the blanket over her and smiled before falling back to sleep himself.
"Unnn! Let me sleep!" I muttered when I felt someone shaking me.
"Aira wake up," I heard Kakashi order. I sat up, glaring at Naruto and Sakura, who started laughing at my bed-head. They shut up quickly at the nasty glare and I used my fingers to comb down my unruly mass of hair and look at Kakashi.
"Now that we're all here, and awake," Kakashi said, shooting a glare at me. "Sakura asked me a good question. She wanted to know who the boy with the mask was."
"But you told us he was a hunter-nin," I said, rubbing at my eyes.
"She wants to know more about the boy."
"Oh... Sorry Kakashi. Go on," I said. He nodded, sighing.
"The squad the boy is in is also known as the fire extinguishing unit. Their job is to erase any evidence of a ninja, like Zabuza for example, to make it look as though they never lived. A ninja's body can contain... Aira wake up!" Kakashi yelled. I sat up quickly, my eyes drooping.
"Sorry..." I muttered.
"As I was saying..." Kakashi said, glaring at me again. "A ninja's body can contain valuable information for another country. For example, if I were to die, the Sharingan would be examined. In the worst case scenario they could unlock the power of the Sharingan, and steal my techniques..." Kakashi trailed off. I sighed and lay back down.
"I'm going to bed..." I muttered. Kakashi glowered and made me sit up again.
"You slept long enough." He snapped. I grumbled but said nothing audible. I sat for awhile in silence, my mind for some reason wondering back to the boy that threw the senbon at Zabuza's neck. I didn't even hear Kakashi explaining what he was thinking.
"Aira!" Naruto yelled in my ear. I jumped, hitting his head rather hard. "OUCH!" He yelled, rubbing the large lump that slowly started to grow on his head.
"Don't do that when I'm thinking!" I snapped, rubbing my sore ear.
"What were you thinking about so intently?" Kakashi asked. My face grew serious as I started to recall what I was thinking.
"The boy..." I muttered. I thought about the senbon again, and where it hit. "THAT'S IT!" I screamed, jumping to my feet. "Zabuza isn't dead!" I yelled, my eyes open wide. "The senbon didn't pierce him in the right spot!"
"We've concluded this, but why do you think that's what happened?" Kakashi asked. I glared at him, but motion to Sasuke to come over.
"I'm going to use Sasuke as an example," I said. I took out two senbon and placed them over his neck, ignoring the glare he sent me as I did so. "Anyway, the senbon pierced Zabuza's neck here," I poked Sasuke's skin lightly and use some chakra to keep it up. "And here." I put the other senbon where Zabuza was hit. "But both of them missed the major artery by at least half an inch or more. There's no way it could have killed Zabuza with senbon if it missed an artery unless it was laced with poison, and I saw nothing on the senbon. Poison leaves a trace, a powder, maybe a liquid but there was nothing. The boy used it to put him in a near death state so I couldn't feel his pulse. The boy is working for Zabuza," I concluded. I let the chakra out of the senbon and they fall into my hands and I put them back up. Sasuke rubbed his neck slightly, but didn't complain.
"Well there we go. Aira just proved my point," Kakashi said. I smirked but I keep quiet for fear of being kicked again Though the elbow to the stomach earlier probably helped my chances of not getting kicked again.
"Sensei, how are you going to prepare for this?" Sakura asked.
"He isn't going to do anything until he's properly healed, even if I have to knock him unconscious," I said, cracking my knuckles. Everyone scooted away from me, and Tsunami and Tazuna, who I hadn't realized entered the room, moved across it to get away from me.
"Don't worry Aira I'm not doing anything. But you four are," Kakashi said. I blinked and my hands fell in my lap.
"What kind of training?" I asked.
"But wait! Even you, a Sharingan user couldn't beat him!" Sakura said.
"And who was it that saved me from him?" Kakashi pointed out. "You three are growing at a rapid rate," Kakashi says.
"What about Aira?" Naruto asks.
"She is already above your level. She would be a jounin now or even a medical ninja if we could do that," Kakashi said. I snuck behind him when Naruto threw me a dirty glare.
"It's not my fault!" I whined.
"Naruto you've grown the most," Kakashi said. I sighed, glad to have the blonde haired boys anger off of me for the moment. I knew that he wanted to be the strongest in the group, his ambition slowly growing everyday. I didnt know why he was always trying to put the attention on himself, but I figured it had something to do with his past.
"You know your stuff Kakashi-sensei! Now things are getting interesting!"
"No they're not," Someone said. I looked around Kakashi to see a small boy, not much older than eight at least, standing in the doorway.
"Who are you?" Naruto asked, pointing to him.
"Inari! Where were you?" Tazuna asked. The boy, Inari, ran into his grandfathers arms.
"I'm home grandfather!" He said.
"Inari say hello to them!" His mother scolded. "These are the ninja that escorted grandpa!"
Inari looked around at us, his gaze sweeping over each one of us in turn. "Mom they're going to die. No one can win against Gatoh."
"I love the motivation..." I muttered. Kakashi kicked me and I growled at him. I'll get you later asshole... I thought.
"What did you say you brat!" Naruto yelled. I glared at Kakashi when he doesn't kick him. "I'm a super hero thats going to become a great ninja known as Hokage! I don't know who this Gatoh or Chocolat is, but he's no enemy of mine!" Naruto said. I curled up next to Kakashi again, this time using his lap as my pillow. I yawned deeply, and curled up and started to fall asleep.
"H- Hey! Let me down!" I yelped as Kakashi picked me up bridal style and started to carry me slowly. "Kakashi! Damn it your going to really hurt yourself! Put me do-!" I landed with a thud to the floor as Kakashi fell. I sprawled out, trying to keep his head from hitting the ground, making him land directly on top of me. My face turned beat red as I glared up at him, his face only an inch from mine.
Rest in results
"Uh... Kakashi do you think you can get off now?" I asked after a moment. He hauled himself up, but for a moment I could have sworn he was blushing... It was a trick of the light... Had to be... I told myself then. I glared at Sakura when she laughed, but I said nothing about it.
"I... I think I'm going to go get a shower now!" I said, and rushed off. I slammed the door to the bathroom and slid down the door, trying to soothe my burning face. After a moment I crawled to the tub, not wanting to get up, and turn the shower on. I got undressed after the water heated up and climbed in, letting the warm water cascade down my body in an attempt to calm myself down.
