Symphony smiled to herself as the door crashed open above them.
"They're here..." she suddenly went limp, her chin hitting her chest. A girl with blond hair and a boy with black hair which hid his right eye ran down the steps. The boy held Kei's arms behind his back as the girl examined Symphony.
"Luke, she needs blood. Bring the boy here. He might as well be of some use." Luke pushed him forward, but then turned a worried look on the girl.
"Are you sure your ok, Melody? You haven't even got your wings yet." Melody nodded, but took hold of Kei's wrist nevertheless and pulled him towards her. She pulled a knife out of her belt and cut into his arm, just deep enough to draw a small amount of blood. Melody held Kei's bleeding arm above Symphony's lips, and let her drink. When Symphony opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was Melody, smiling down at her, but then she met Kei's terrified eyes, and she turned away from his bleeding arm, spitting out what blood was in her mouth. Now at her full strength, she stood up and pulled at the chains on her wrists. She wrapped what length of chain was free around her hand and pulled, pulling the shackles from the wall they had been set in. Luke picked up Kei and swung him over his shoulder. While they were running back home, Kei saw Symphony shed a single tear when she looked at his bleeding arm.
