For sesshylover01, who begged me to write chapter 8...
Also, I finally know what the lyrics to the Italian song “O mio babbino caro” are, so therefore I used that song. *sigh* So beautiful…

“You saw what?

Kumi had woken up in the morning, bright and cheery. “I saw it! It was a big glowing light! And it danced like this!” Kumi re-enacted the spirit’s dance…or at least, tried to. She tripped and fell into Tarro’s lap, which made him fall over and splash into a puddle of mud. “ARRRH! KUMI!” Tarro growled. Kumi giggled.

“So Kumi, you saw a white glowing light? Did it have a face?” Akira asked calmly. Kumi nodded vigorously and tried to help Tarro out of his mud puddle, which only resulted in him falling into again. “It was a very pretty glowing light! She was sooooo bea-yoo-tee-ful!” Kumi exclaimed. “Hey! How do you know it’s a she!” Tarro said. Kumi started to dance and sway again. “Well…if it’s a he, than he is very bea-yoo-tee-ful too!” she said dreamily. Akira cocked his head to the side. The librarian said something else about magical beings…and that’s when he remembered…an Enchantress.

“How beautiful was this light Kumi?” he asked. Kumi twirled twice and then fell on the soft, green floor. “Extremely beautiful! Like…….unearthly beauty! I wish I was pretty like her…” Kumi swooned. Tarro rolled his eyes. “You are such an airhead Kumi! ANYBODY is prettier than you!!!” he shouted. Akira grabbed the back of Tarro’s neck and shoved his face in the mud. Kumi giggled, not even listening. “I wish you could’ve seen her Akira, you would like her…a lot!” Akira snorted. “I will love no one…ever.”

Kumi pouted, and Tarro spit in the dirt. “Your going to rot away Akira! ROT AWAY!” Tarro cried. Akira scowled. “And when all goes wrong, default to shining lights and magic creatures!” he growled. Kumi grabbed both their hands. C’mon! We can’t stay here forever!” She dragged them behind her, running along, and tripping over her feat quite frequently. Akira matched the blonde girl’s speed, but Tarro…well, let’s just say he got a mouthful of bushes, fallen trees, and even more mud puddles.

Evening came again, and the sun sank behind a mountain. The world suddenly became very dark, aching for more light, but not finding it. They had made it to a large open landscape that stretched for many miles, a single tree, and a quiet river gracing its features. While Akira went to find a path and Tarro headed for the river, Kumi was left alone again, bad mistake.

Kumi wandered away from the lonely tree where they were supposed to spend the night. The stars started to shine brighter as Kumi started to dance around again. She can never stay still for too long at all. Swaying, twirling, and spinning on the soft grass, her silent song took flight. Kumi rose and fell to the melody of the open night. And then…the voice of the glowing light came back…

O mio babbino caro,
mi piace è bello, bello;
vo'andare in Porta Rossa
a comperar l'anello!
Sì, sì, ci voglio andare!
e se l'amassi indarno,
andrei sul Ponte Vecchio,
ma per buttarmi in Arno!
Mi struggo e mi tormento!
O Dio, vorrei morir!

Babbo, pietà, pietà!
Babbo, pietà, pietà!

Kumi listened again, it was the same beautiful notes of the same beautiful spirit. The image of the spirit appeared in the sky, a glorious constellation. Kumi reached out to touch the face in the starry picture. Then…the stars floated out of the sky, and the spirit danced along with Kumi, in a never ending song. Kumi’s steps never once faltered, as if the spirit’s aura had cured her curse.

“KUMI!!!” The perfect notes of the spirit faded, and it seemed that all the stars floated back into the sky. “Kumi where are you!” Kumi’s foot twisted and she fell on her face at the startling sound. “KUMI! STOP RUNNING OFF!” Tarro dragged her off the ground and brought her back to the lone tree where Akira was asleep. “You have to stop doing that!” he huffed, plopping down under the tree somewhere. Kumi didn’t say anything, she just wanted to hear the spirit again…
