Part Two
Eiji's POV
Once we got behind the stage, we all started stretching. I began by going on my hands and putting my feet against the wall. Then I flex my feet until only my toes are on the wall. It's a very good way of stretching out my abs and obliques. I then flip over and go into a splits, touching my toes and leaning over. I switch feet and repeat the same routine. I spread my legs out into the middle splits and lean over.
"Oishi! Can you help me lean more?" I yelled for help, while still bent over.
"Okay," I heard him yell, and seconds later, his hands are pushing against my back, making me lean more.
"That's enough! Thank you!" I yell when my nose is just centimeters from the floor.
"Sure thing!" Oishi yells and he walks off after I straighten myself.
I flip back and start stretching my arms and legs, making sure that they were fine enough for dancing. I take my racket out of the bag and practice my swings, just to see if my swings were smooth and perfect. I frown when my last swing was two seconds off and ten degrees too shallow. Readjusting the racket and tightening my arm, I swing again, grinning as it's on time.
"Seigaku! Line up!" I hear Tezuka yell.
I scramble to line up next to Oishi and Fuji as we look at Tezuka, waiting for what he has to tell us. "Okay, everyone. We are on after the next group. Make sure that you have everything you'll need and be prepared," Tezuka says as he looks at each and every one of us.
There's mumbling among the group as they check they're things, Kaidoh adjusting and tightening his bandana so it wouldn't fall off and O-chibi tightening his hat and adjusting his wrist band; I of course was asking Fuji if my band aid was on right.
"It's fine Eiji, don't worry," Fuji reassures me as he calmly checks his wrist band.
Hearing clapping, we all take our places along the curtains but unnoticed by the audience. A small group of girls skip off the stage, wearing very...non-conservative clothing. I'd really hate to know what anime they were from.
"And now, ladies and gentlemen, The Prince of Tennis Seigaku team singing Do Your Best!" the announcer yells through the microphone as a thunderous applause follows after her voice.
The music starts and we take our places, getting ready to head out.

After the performance:

Flashing a white grin, we all bow and start waving at the audience. I look at the first row and almost stop in shock. It was Hayley and Scot, our friends from school! And behind them were Yuu, Adachin, Aiba and Yanagi, clapping and smiling at us. Bowing again, we run off the stage and put our rackets into our bags before hoisting it over our shoulders. I grab Fuji by the hand and drag her off before stopping just twenty feet from the group.
"What is it?" she asks me, her eyes still closed. Boy they'll be open very soon.
"Problem! Problem! Scot and Hayley are here!" I whispered to her, her eyes opening very wide.
"Then we'll just have to be careful on how we act around them, right?" Fuji tells me as she closes her eyes.
"Hai," I sigh out gloomily as we made our way back to the others.
"What's wrong?" Oishi asks us when we finally reach them.
"Some friends from school are here and they don't know that we're the ones that performed," I say as my hand clutches onto the bag strap tighter.
"Then we'll just have to be careful, now won't we?" O-chibi says to us as he takes a sip from his Ponta. Now where'd that come from?
"Great job Seigaku!" we hear from behind, so we turn around to face Yuu and his friends, of course it was Adachin who said that.
"Did you guys actually sing that?" Aiba asks, impressed with our performance.
"Of course," Tezuka says.
"We sing all of the songs that we know, and that was one of them."
"Wow," Yanagi says as we see him open a can of Ponta. Grape to be exact.
"They will be announcing the winner in about half an hour, so you can spend it taking pictures with the fans or whatever, but you can't change until after they announce the winners," Yuu says.
"Okay!" I yell excitedly as I dash off from behind the stage.
"Hello!" I shout at the crowd, soon cheering for me.
I flash them a bright smile and wave at them.
"Eiji! Can we take a picture with you!?" I hear some fans yell.
"Sure thing!" I shout as two girls dash up and pose on either side of me, and I'm holding the strap of my bag over my right shoulder and do a peace sign in front of me with my left hand.
These continue for a while. Like, some fans wanted me to do some acrobatics, and I was happy to comply, unaware that the group was watching me while they too were getting their pictures taken.
"Eiji, can we take a picture with you?" a very familiar voice said.
"Okay! Come on!" I shout and out of the crowd came Hayley and Scot.
Hiding my shock, I grin at them and motion for them to hurry up, as the announcements was going to start soon. How did I know? I looked at the clock. For them, I decided to take my racket out of the bag, putting the bag off to the side which Oishi picked it up and held it for me. He's such a good friend!
I put Scot to my right where I sling my racket over my right shoulder which he turns his body so it's facing the side and turns his head towards the front with his arms crossed. I put Hayley to my left and I do the peace sign in front of me, which she copies except with her right hand.
The camera flashes and I shake hands with them, except Hayley gives me a hug, so I have to hug her. After that, I bound off towards the others.
"Come on! We're going to be late!" I shout at them while grabbing Oishi's hand and dragging him off. "Eiji, you can let go of my hand now. We're already at the stage," Oishi says stopping me from proceeding further.
"Okay!" I say as I let go of his hand and put my racket away when the others managed to catch up to us.
"Eiji-senpai, you run too fast," Ryoma says when they reach us.
"Well sorry! If it weren't for me, we would have been late," I retort as I cross my arms.
"Okay everyone, line up on the stage with the other groups," Tezuka says to us.
"Hai!" we all yell, and we walk up the stairs and onto the stage.
Unfortunately we were put next to the group of girls that went on before our performance, and they were trying to flirt with us. Ew! For Momo's sake, we went in order of our year, which he was second to last and almost the farthest from them. The only person who wasn't in line was Tezuka, because he was standing in front of us.
"Hello everyone! I'm Nancy, your Commissioner and announcer for this year's Cosplay Contest at the Summer Valley Anime Convention! Now today, you've witnessed many great performances, but we will only be choosing the best three. Now, in third place..."
I obviously wasn't paying attention because I knew that we wouldn't get third place.
"In second place, is One Piece!" Yup. Lots and lots of applause for them.
"And finally, in first place and our champion of Cosplay, is the Prince of Tennis Seigaku Regulars!"
The audience sends out a thunderous applause as Tezuka-buchou goes up to the announcer and receives the trophy. He motions with his left hand to come up one at a time. Confused, Oishi goes first, only to have Tezuka put a medal over his head and around his neck. Smiling, Oishi goes back in line as Fujiko goes next, and then me, and so on.
We stand in front with medals around our necks as we smile to the audience and bow, now cheering and clapping their hands louder. One by one the groups leave the stage, us being last to get off. When we get down, we're met by the four former Seigaku Regulars.
"Yeah! I knew you would get first!" Adachin yells as he puts me into a headlock and starts ruffling my hair.
"Hey! Hey! Hey! Let go! Do you know how long it took to get it this way?" I shout getting out of the headlock and pushing my hair down, as parts of it were starting to frizz and stick up.
"But what matters most is that you guys did great," Shirota says, looking at Yanagi who is taking a sip from his ponta can.
Realizing that Shirota is looking at him, he takes the can from his mouth and says, "Yeah. You guys did a good job. You deserve first place."
"Aww! That's the nicest thing I've heard him say!" I yell, hugging him really tight.
If we were in anime, he would have a blank expression and be sweat dropping.
"Okay, now that that is over, let's change and meet back in front of the entrance," Tezuka intervenes before I choked poor Yanagi.
I let go of Yanagi and we all yell out "Hai!" And off we went to the changing rooms.
Without the four watching, Fuji and I snuck into the girls changing rooms, cause, well duh, we're girls. Holding onto my bag, I go into a changing room and start undressing.
I take the Seigaku jacket off and pull the shirt and tank top over my head, replacing it with a black camisole. Next I pull my white shorts off and put on dark gray leggings with a red plaid skirt over it- I still kept the spandex shorts on underneath- replacing my white tennis shoes with black half-calf length boots with a charm anklet around my left boot.
The chain and charms were silver, the charms being a cat, a tennis racket, a sun, a moon and a star. There was also a teddy bear, a cross and a peace sign charms on the chain.
Putting on a gray hood jacket and pulling a black beanie on my head, I put my Seigaku uniform into my bag and go out of the changing room. I look in the mirror to put on my jewelry which consisted of two rings, my earrings and two necklaces. (Pics of outfit and jewelry in results!)
I turn around and see my sis Adrien and she does something that surprises me: she rips the band aid from my cheek. Ow!
"Hey! What was that for?!" I shout as I put a hand on my cheek while looking in the mirror.
That is so going to leave a mark. I glare at her as she holds up the band aid triumphantly, still smiling that evil grin.
"Got it," is all she says.
"You're evil!" I whine as she throws the band aid away.
Holding onto my bag, I quickly wash my face and then reapply some make up onto my face and neck, you know just to blend in. Finishing with some cherry (the shade not the flavor!) lip gloss, I take the beanie off and ruffle my hair a bit to get rid of the Eiji curve. Seeing that is was now flat, I put the beanie back on and wait for my sister, who was in the bathroom. Hearing the toilet flush, I grab Adrien by the arm just as she walked out of the stall and we both run out of the locker room.
Upon arriving at the front entrance, we see Yuu, Aiba, Adachin, Yanagi, James, Peter, Tai, Kouji, Taylor and Juno waiting for us. But where was Brian?
"Are we late?" I managed to say letting go of Adrien's arm.
"Actually we just got here," Tai tells us.
"Wait a second! You're a girl too?!" Adachin yells at me as the other three boys have shocked expressions on their faces.
"Of course I am! I'm so shocked!" I exclaim as I pretend to pout, turning my back to the foursome. "Ah! We're sorry! Please don't be mad at us!" yells Adachin as he claps his hands together and bows his head repeatedly.
"Okay! I forgive you guys!" I shout as I turn back around to face them, a smile on my face.
The boys sigh as Tai asks, "Has anyone seen Brian?"

Okay! Part Two is done! But where is Brian? Only I know and soon you'll know too! Stay tuned for the third part of Behind the Scenes!
