{03} Hello Beautiful

I remember Lucy Marie Lennox, her bright spirit made me smile.

I remember the day she gave me the box and how it was her wish that I hold onto it, hide it, and get Serena Doe Buchanan to find it with me.

Actually, to make it fair, Kevin, my older brother hid the box. Then, as Lucy requested, he told her where it was hidden.

I didn't know where Kevin hid it, I just knew there was something with Serena.

And, to make sure I knew what it was I attended Lucy's will reading in a hidden spot behind a fern tree.

Yes, I was basically stalking Serena Buchanan. But, I had good reason to.

She was the beginning to an adventure.

Hidden behind my tree I glanced at the clergy when Serena's name was called.

Standing up was apparently Serena Doe Buchanan, who was damp from the rain.

I giggled into my hand at her appearance, sweats and crazy hair, causing people to look at the tree.

I ducked noticing this.

When everyone had turned around I stood back up looking at Serena yet again.

She was gaping at the key in her hand in astonishment, making crazy looking look beautiful.

Looking at her I noticed a pale complexion, eyes that seemed light from my hidden spot, and wavy brown hair past her shoulders.

She wasn't beautiful in a stand out way, but in a natural way. Quite different from Lucy, whose red hair and green eyes stood out in the crowd.

Two very different girls were best friends, and that seemed interesting enough so I turned around and took my long walk to where the tour bus was secretly hidden

Serena Doe Buchanan wouldn't be ready for the adventure that would happen.

I guaranteed it.

"Hey Kevin," I said walking back into our bus, "Why didn't you head in? You and Lucy were always close."

Kevin blushed. "Times change."

And with that he got up and walked away.

Lucy Lennox was a sore subject with Kevin, at the meet and greet they exchanged numbers and talked on the phone for hours.

Little by little, Kevin fell for her. Hard.

Plus, little by little, Lucy fell for him as well.

Something that Serena Doe Buchana didn't know according to a voicemail she left Kevin.

Her words rang in my ears. "Serena thinks I like you Joe, don't tell her about Kevin, she'll find out on her own time."

I got that voicemail ther night before she died.

Serena was in for one heck of a ride.
