~BrendonUrie~You're Better Off Without Me~OneShot~

Neenjalayouts This is for LOGAN. Who's really cool. Plus, she asked for a Brendon one. And we ALL know that I can't refuse the B-man. XD

"Logan!" he shouted, gaining the attention of everyone except for the short girl he'd called for. Her red-brown hair swished as she walked, betraying her anger as she tossed her hair, pointedly ignoring him. "Wait! Come on, Logan! Stop!"
She kept walking, well, jogging. Running, actually.
"Oh my GOD! It's Brendon Urie!" the boy heard, groaning. The last thing he needed was fans seeing this.
"Hey! Would you just wait?" he yelled, beginning to run short of breath. "I can explain!"
"Explain?" the girl replied sharply, her eyes burning with tears and anger.
You see, Brendon Urie was a boy who didn't know what he wanted. He used to have it all. Fame, family, friends. He was happy. Or, that was what he thought. Then he met her. She was more than he could imagine. She was perfect.
"Explain what?" Logan demanded. Brendon was scared. If looks could kill, he'd be long dead and buried. "Why you're such an egotistical jerk? Why all you think about is yourself?"
He looked at the ground. "You know I didn't mean it..."
"As if that's supposed to make it better?" she groaned. "Brendon, it's just a number."
"I know-"
"It doesn't define me."
"I know-"
"Then why are you acting like this?"
"I'm just... worried what people will think..."
"You are so ridiculous! Why even care??"
"8 years is a lot, Logan... and it makes me a pervert!"
Logan rolled her eyes, placing her hands on her thirteen year old hips. "This is love Brendon, not sex." A derisive snort escaped her lips. His face fell, as if he was expecting a bit more understanding.
"I'm sorry that I'm worried about my reputation. I would rather not go to prison, if it's all the same to me."
Logan rolled her eyes, "Whatever Brendon. Why don't you just go play with your other older girlfriends?"
"What other-" he began, his face screwed up in confusion. "Logan, what are you talking about? You're the only girl I want!"
Inside our protagonist's head right now, he is thinking that he doesn't deserver her. He's thinking that she doesn't want to deal with his problems and his reservations. He's mentally hitting himself over the head for screwing this up.
Logan rolled her eyes and turned, beginning her original path once again. Before she could get far, he grabbed her arm.
"Wait. Before you leave, just tell me. Would it have worked out if I hadn't been such a jerk?"
Her eyes were wide, truthful. He wanted to fall into those eyes forever and never leave. "Brendon, you're not a jerk. I'm just not the right girl for you. You need someone older."
"I don't want someone older," he muttered and she laughed. "I just want you."
Her face grew serious. "Will you wait, then? Wait for me?"
"I'd wait forever," he promised, his own eyes now the wide and truthful ones. And she believed him.
