Treasa and William: Werewolf and Vampire in Love
Chapter 2 : Treasa and William: Werewolf and Vampire in Love::2::
“I just don’t get why you let yourself get into this kind of stuff.” William said to me the next day, examining the few wounds left.
“It’s difficult to be in a pack, even harder if everyone in that pack hates you. You learn to defend yourself.” I winced has he removed a bandage, opening a wound. I saw the blood, then the look in his eyes, “Now stop that Will! You’re going to go and kill me on accident; then I’ll haunt you for life!”
“I wouldn’t even think of draining you.” he smiled showing of his fangs.
I sat closer to him, and he put me on his lap, I then leaned onto his shoulder, “You never mentioned biting, you just said draining.”
“I couldn’t promise you that I wouldn’t bite you, it would be a lie. A you are irresistible to me and B I have to, I saved your life yesterday, remember?”
I sighed rolling my eyes, “You’re gonna hold that over me forever aren’t you?”
“No,” he scoffed, “Of course not,” he added sarcastically.
“Oh joy, thank you just what I need. My family hates me and my boyfriend wants to make me feel bad.”
He didn’t answer just laid back, and before getting comfortable he let me resituate. I ended up with my head on his chest and his arms around me. We sat for a while in silence, enjoying each others presence, and then he breathed deeply and suggested, “Let’s run away together.”
“Ha that’s the funniest thing you’ve said all day!” he became silent again, and I could feel his face hardening, “Oh my God, William, you're serious?”
“Mmhmm, wouldn’t it be amazing, just the two of us, traveling around. No families or gates to separate us. Just William and Treasa.” he said this in such a calm fascinating way, it lured me.
I rolled over, my chin on his chest, “You do know how to tempt me.” he laughed deep down in his chest. “Where would we go, how would we get away, would they follow us?”
He laughed again, his face glowing in the fading light between the trees, “It’s actually really simple baby. At night we sneak out, meet here and hop on a train to Waco, Texas. It’s one of the most famous cities for outsiders.”
“You make it sound easy, but I have people awake at all hours of the night, surveying.” I humfed frustrated.
“Your thinking to hard Terry, you can’t tell me you’ve never snuck out before?”
“Of course I have, but I had nothing with me.”
“We’re running away, what could you possibly need?”
“There are some essentials, or more like memorabilia.”
“Uh huh,” he replied sharply, “And how much memorabilia is there?”
I thought about it and realized it was just the sweatshirt and a necklace my sister gave me, “Never mind…”
“Treasa this is really bad. You’re actually away with this thing… Don’t you remember?
vampires everywhere all over me, I’m getting paler, going, going gone
“NO!” I shot up in the bunk knocking my head. I looked around and realized I was back on the train care on my way to Waco; freedom.
“Hey baby,” a dazed vampire moaned, “You okay, what happened?”
“Carrie…” I sighed whipping the sweat off my face. “She thinks what I’m doing with you…this whole runaway thing, is stupid. She showed me how she died, through her eyes. I felt the pain. I had hoped and prayed that she had died quickly, but always knew she hadn’t. Will I felt her pain, and it hurt burns and scratches all over. She died in agony.”
William got down from the top bunk and sat next to me, “That’s great!” he exclaimed as if a light bulb went off in his head.
“What’s great; the fact that my sister got mauled, or that she’s disappointed in me?” I can’t believe he would say that!
“No of course not honey. You saw it from her eyes.” I nodded still not following, “She saw he murderers…” I made and “O” shape with my mouth.
“I see what you’re saying, but it doesn’t help. It was so fast, all I saw were blurs.”
He grabbed my hand squeezing it tightly, “Have I ever told you what I can do?” I shook my head, “I can go into peoples minds, see their memories, and cover them up if needed. I could go in and ‘pause’ the memory your sister gave you.”
“What?! Why would I want to go back? I don’t think I can handle the pain again.”
“It’s okay, I can block the pain…I’ll protect you.”
“Where did you get this…thing?”
“All vampires get a gift. Now stop avoiding the question… do you want my help or not?”
I looked away, thinking, “I don’t know…can I handle it again?”
“I can always take the away from you and pause it myself.” he suggested.
“No!” I snapped, then softened, “I mean please don’t. No mater how much pain there was, I can’t loose that …it’s my sister.”
“Don’t worry I wont do anything you don’t want me too.”
“Okay…just let me think about it…It’s a big choice.”
“I know,” he said letting go of my hand and getting up.
“Wait,” I lightly touched his arm, “can you lay with me?”
He smiled as if he was waiting for me to ask, “Of course.”
We laid under the covers and he wrapped his arm around my waist, and right before I drifted off he whispered in my ear, “you know you're special too. Your sister didn’t give those to you, you found her…you can see spirits.”
I’m special too…
The leaves brushed my face as if wiping away the tears. I could see the vampires attacking her now, but there was one difference, I could feel the pain. Why did Carrie have to curse me with that! Oh it hurt so bad. I keeled over in pain, and simultaneously heard Carrie scream, on her last breath.
I woke up on the floor screaming and wrenching in pain.
“Treasa, honey are you okay? Breathe okay just breathe.” I still kept shaking.
He grabbed my shoulders sitting on top of me, “It…hurts so bad.” I wailed the tears coming.
“Okay, do you want me to block it out? It will just be temporary.”
“Yes!” I screamed, “Anything to get rid of the pain.” He shifted off of me and grabbed my hand. The pain went away, then darkness.
“Treasa…Terry…open your eyes,” a familiar soft voice cooed. I mumbled a little then the voice continued, “It’s okay baby, you're safe now.”
I slowly opened my eyes and looked into Williams. “This isn’t the train; its all blank.”
“I know,” he smiled, “this is were we’re creating your ‘reality’” Will said matter-of-factly.
“Reality?” I questioned; cocking my head to the side.
“it’s a place for you to get away from your nightmares, and for us to meet.” he recited as if for the millionth time.
“How many times have you done this?”
“Why do you ask?” he questioned defensively.
“Well it just seems like a procedure for you.”
“Well it was my job back at the Manor.”
“Really?” I questioned wondering why he never told me.
“Yea, does that bother you?” he smirked.
“No,” i lied “ I was just wondering why you never told me.”
