Chapter 4 : The Last Snow [A GazettE story] Part 4
Uuuhmm... Yeah... This one took long... And If there is some band you would like me to write in this story in the future, please message me, but then you'll also have to help me find more information about the band or artist.
MEMO! Part 4: New Times "This ones good," Eva commented as she took another bite of her chocolate. "Just good?" Ruki frowned. "Yeah... There are some grammar-mistakes when you write in English, but that's only fun to read," she continued. "Could you fix them?" "Sure!" She took a random pen from the coffee table and started to correct the spellings and the grammar. It wasnt that much, but it still made her feel like a teacher for jr. High students back in Norway. As she finished, she looked over the lyrics. If she had been a normal person she would have felt differently in almost every song. Some could make one lonely, others could make one sad. Some could make one angry, some could make one scared and some could even make one disgusted. Though it were only the lonely ones she noticed. Her heart seemed familiar with it. Well, it wouldn't be weird, considering she had been the past 5 years practically all by herself. Her roommate wasnt exactly a person she would like to be friends with, yet she was the only friend she had. But now the times were different. She was in a band. People couldn't be in the same band without being friends. She knew this. That was probably the only reason she told them about the car-accident. If they hadnt picked her, she would have kept her silence. They would have started to ignore her, just like everyone else. She didnt mind, though. Most people were weird. "Uuhm... Finished?" Kai asked. She blinked her eyes a couple of times, getting back to reality. "Yeah... Here," she handed the last lyrics over to Kai. He placed them in one bunch again before he hid them under the couch. "They'll get all mixed up again," Eva mumbled. "Whatever," Kai replied, all smiley. "Well, not good if you need them and then you'll have us helping you," Aoi whined. "You're the one to talk? You didn't even do anything!" Ruki said, and soon they were all dragged in an argument except for Eva and Reita. "Do they always argue?" she asked him. "Pretty much. But its kind of fun. They can argue about the most random stuff they can come up with," Reita replied. She just nodded her head. She suddenly felt her phone vibrate in her pocket as it rang 'God Saves The Queen' by Sex Pistols. She ignored the looks as she took her phone and answered it. "Hello?" "You're late for work... again," she heard her boss say. That made her grimace - she had totally forgotten her work. "Oh... Sorry?" she apologized, but knew it wouldnt help her. "I'm afraid this was your last chance. You may come tomorrow to get your stuff, but thats it. Goodbye," the boss hung up on her. At first she just stared at the phone and frowned, but in the end she just shrugged and put it where it belonged in her pocket. "Who was that?" Kai asked in curiosity. "My boss," she simply answered. "You've got a job?" Ruki asked. She shook her head and frowned again. "I just got fired," she said. "Oh... Our fault?" Uruha asked. "Naah... It's my fault. I haven't been so enthusiastic about the job." "Where did you work?" "At the cinema, as the candy-lady-seller-thing. Not so fun really. There were most children there, and they can just be so fu**ing annoying! she answered. As she saw the looks on their faces, she responded with: "What? Can't I not like children?" "Sure!", "Of course!" and "Whatever you wish!" were heard from them. She sighed and leaned back in her seat. There was silence in the room. A bit too loud silence. "You like the Sex Pistols?" Reita finally broke the silence. "Yeah, why?" she replied. "Really? Reita's like in love with them. He collects everything he comes over," Ruki didnt want the silence to continue. "You do?" she asked him. "Yeah..," he answered, looking at the ground. "Perhaps I could come over or borrow some DVDs sometime?" she asked. "Sure," Reita replied. "Oooooh," could be heard from Aoi. "What?" she turned to him. "More pizza nights!" he squealed. "I dont know. Perhaps I wont be feeling like making pizzas." "Oh, you better!" "I taught Kai!" "But he probably sucks anyway!" "I do not!" "Yes, you do!" "No!" Days went by. Rehearsal went fine. They mostly explained to her how they wanted the feeling in the song to be, and she would always hit the right notes so the song would be perfect. There was only one song she had refused to give notes to, because she felt it fitted best without the keyboard. But as happy as they were, there was a small problem - her roommate. "Seriously! You need a new roommate or move out yourself!" Ruki said as they were having a break from rehearsal. "But it's hard to get a nice apartment nowadays!" she defended herself. "Then what do we do?" Uruha asked. "Yeah, I mean, you don't even own a car, so we have to pick you up! That one time she saw us, she luckily fainted," Ruki continued. "That was hilarious!" Aoi commented. "Yeah! Haha! We should almost do that more often!" Uruha laughed. "And risk being drowned by rabid fangirls? No way, and stay focused! Eva needs her own place," Kai said as he tapped his chin in thought. She just sat there in the red leather couch, off in her own dreamworld where dragons were your rides and clouds were made of cotton-candy. "... one of us? Just temporary of course." She snapped out of her thoughts as she heard Kai speak. "Is that ok with you, Eve?" he turned her head to her. "Sorry, I didn't listen. What did you say?" she asked. Kai sighed, but he knew that it was no point in complaining. He had gotten used to her day-dreaming. "I just suggested you could stay over at one of our places temporary, until you find your own place to stay at," he said. "Works for me," she replied and stepped off to dreamland again. She felt an urge to write something, perhaps a poem or something, but at the moment she didn't have any paper or pen. She wanted to write a poem about someone afraid of death. She wanted to show that it wasn't really that scary. Words began to form in her head. Moments pass - The blade slips - Three, two, one - The end... her thoughts were interrupted. "...at Reita's! She could cook for him!" Aoi's voice practically shouted. "Yeeah! Besides! Reita has barely talked to her ever since she joined the band!" Ruki shot in. "Yeah, Reita needs to open up a little," Uruha encouraged. "If she wants to..," Reita said. "Of course she wants to! Right, Eve?" Kai turned to Eva. "Huh? What?" she looked confused. He sighed again. "You could stay at Reita's. He has a spare room," he suggested. She shrugged: "Sure." "Ok, then! When does your roomie work?" Aoi asked. "Why does that matter?" Uruha asked. "Well, we dont want to be there when she is there," Aoi explained to the other guitarist who nodded his head, understanding. "Well... She has her day off tomorrow... But the day later she has a looong day," Eva said. "Oh, well, you could start packing your stuff tomorrow and tell your roomie your moving to... a friend and then we'll help you move the day after," Kai said. "Sure," Eva said, not really getting what was going on. The next day she sat on the couch, watching TV while her roomie went for shopping with some other silly friends. All those stupid shows made her turn off the TV and start to pack her very few stuff. Mostly it was clothes, and even they only filled one large box. It was her keyboard that toook most of the room. It was a nice black keyboard [sorry if I have described it before, but I just cant remember now]. It was pretty simple, yet it meant so much for her. It had helped her to express her feelings which were deep hidden in her. It had helped her to even feel anything at all. Of course it wasnt only the instrument which had helped her. A lot of help came from Nightwish. Oh, how she wanted to thank all the bandmembers for learning her how to feel, and listen to good music. If it werent for 'Nemo', the musicvideo, she would have probably wandered around just like Nemo in the song. Just when she was about to put her keyboard in its bag [Sorry... Dont remember the correct word if it has one], she heard the front door go open. Her roommate was home. She left the bag half open and went into the living room, only to see her roommate resting on the couch. "Much shopping?" she asked. "Yeah... I got new boots. I dont know why I bought them. You can have them. They're in that bag with the door," her roomie answered with closed eyes. Eva's gaze turned to the door and there she saw a white bag, but she didn't bother to walk over to see what kind of boots they were. "I'm moving out, if you dont mind," she said instead. "You are?" her roomie looked at her. "Yeah..," she answered. "Where?" "To a friend." "A boyfriend, a guy-friend or girlfriend or just friend?" "Friend." "Ok! When will you be moving?" "Tomorrow." "Ok!" Silence... "I was kind of hoping you would move," her roomie said after a while. "Why?" she asked, not really caring, but she knew if she didnt, her roomie would force her to be interested. "I got a new boyfriend!" she squealed. "Good for you! Now, if you excuse me, I have to finish packing," Eva said before she had to hear all the useless information about her ex-roomie's boyfriend.
