1:42 A.M.
"How are you feeling, Ms. Healey?" Dr. Patterson asked me.
I grinned. "Awesome. Incredible,"
He smiled back.
"Great," He put a warm hand to my forehead. "Good. You're returning to your normal temperature," I smiled.
"So, when can I see my family?" I asked as he adjusted some of the wires.
"I had my nurses call them, so they should turn up in,"He shrugged. "Eh, roughly 10 minutes," He took a look at the clock hanging on the wall.
I laughed and nodded.
"And," I called as he began to walk out of my hospital room. "When can I go home?" I asked eagerly.
"Well, we're just going to run some tests and see how you're doing before we can let you go," I nodded. "But," he added. "it will be soon."
I smiled and allowed him to leave.
The hospital room filled with silence, along with the halls besides the elderly man across the hall who was snoring.
I sighed and flipped on the television.
I continued to flip through the channels until thundering feet made me sit up as straight as I could.
Only a few seconds later, the door was tossed open and I was embraced by someone.
I recognized the feeling of his embrace.
"David!" I exclaimed, wrapping my arms around his neck.
David let out a huge sigh of relief and stroked my hair with his fingers.
I heard a low murmur spread throughout the room as David and I just embraced for a few minutes.
He pulled away for a second and I noticed tears clouding the rims of his eyes.
"I thought I lost you." He muttered.
I laughed softly and hugged him again.
After a while he pulled away and motioned for everyone else to say hi and such.
I don't know how long it was before two people attacked me with tight hugs.
I could smell Miley's perfume and immediately pulled her and ,who I assumed to be Joanie, closer.
They each pulled away and hit both sides of my head.
"Ow!" I exclaimed, my head bobbing in both directions.
"That's what you get for leaving us!" Joanie exclaimed.
"And scaring us half-to-death!" Miley added.
I laughed along with everyone else and hugged them again.
Joanie and Miley were flung off and a small body hugged me close.
I saw a flash of blonde hair and recognized Jenna.
I pulled her onto my lap and hugged her tight.
She pulled away and looked at me with her big blue eyes.
"Hi, Stephy! Look!" She shoved her wrist into my face and I instantly recognized the charm bracelet I gave her glimmer on it.
I smiled and hugged her close.
Eventually, David managed to get Jenna off.
Kevin and Nick were next and, being the calm people they were, sat down next to me and gave me side hugs.
I laughed and pulled them as close as they would let me.
Denise and Paul just told me they were glad I was awake.
I looked around, eager to find Joe, but couldn't see him anywhere.
I peered at Kevin.
He frowned and shook his head.
"Oh, god." Joanie muttered, rolling her eyes.
We were currently sitting outside of Stephanie's hospital room, waiting for David to come out.
"What?" I questioned, my back facing the entrance.
"Look who just got here..." She rolled her eyes again.
I flipped around to see Joe and his girlfriend enter.
Yep, Joe and Jojo were now officially an "item." .
Stephanie, of course, had no idea.
Now, don't get me wrong, Jojo was an awesome person-funny, nice, pretty, fun- but everyone knows that Joe and Stephanie were meant to be together.
"Hey guys!" Joe exclaimed, obviously not that tired.
Joanie simply nodded.
"Hey." I said and turned back to Joanie.
Joe sighed and walked to Kevin and Nick.
They both pointed to Steph's room.
Everyone watched curiously as Joe and Jojo entered the room.
And before you could say "That antelope has my mother." David was right there, pushing Joe out of the room.
Shortly followed by Jojo.
I sighed. "I guess she didn't take the fact that he's over her too well."
