the title of this is probably the funniest thing i have thought of in a really long time.
i feel nervous.
Allie sat on the toilet in her hotel bathroom, lid down.
Outside, her bags were packed and ready to be loaded back onto the Beckett Bus so that they could finish the final two weeks of touring.
Two weeks.
That's all she had to get through till she could sleep in her own bed.
But that was the thing; would it still feel like her bed now?
Everything, everyone had changed so much over the last few months, would it be possible that things could go back to the way they were.
Nicole knocked on the door, "What's taking so long? I want to steal the hotel soaps."
"Nothing" Allie lied.
Nicole jiggled the doorknob. "Are you alright in there?"
"Not really."
Nicole frowned and let go of her suitcase handle. "What's wrong, is that you havent talked to Hayley yet?"
Partially, it was that.
Hayley William's had made her self disappear over the last couple of days, refusing to be anywhere near Allie or William, or really anyone for that matter.
Zac had assured her this was typical Hayley behaviour.
William on the other hand, was taking things extremely well, much to Nicole's distaste.
He was happier and laughed more; he even blamed the whole affair on his not being around and said that when they got back to Vegas things would be different.
"No it's not that," said Allie, "It's my period is late."
Nicole laughed, "A little Beckett bun in the oven?"
But the awkward silence that followed told her that this was not a joke.
Allie unlocked the door, "I'm really scared."
Nicole wrapped her arms around her, "It's fine. You're probably just really stressed and it's affecting your vag."
"You think?" asked Allie, as Nicole started taking the mini shampoos out of the shower.
"Of course, I mean how late are we talking?"
"11 days."
Nicole stopped stealing the mini soaps and turned around, "Oh."
Allie shook her head, "But it was already late at first but then I slept with Beckett, and then I slept with him some more and it was still late."
Nicole sat on the edge of the bath, "We can always buy a test from the chemist down stairs and get this all sorted out now."
Allie's eyes widened, "No way, no fucking way."
"Hey you could be pregnant, I think maybe its a good idea you take a test to check."
Allie sat back down on the toilet and put her hands on her stomach.
"I can't be, I dont want to be."
Nicole forced a smile, inside her mind was going crazy.
If Allie + William had a baby then what would she do?
He'd be there, all the time.
And then how would she stop having these feelings for him?
"Look, we can't sit in this bathroom forever, let's go get some lunch and I will buy you a test ok?" asked Nicole.
Allie nodded and got up off the toilet.
"Hey," she asked changing the subject, "Have you seen Hayley yet?"
Nicole shook her head, "Not since NYE."
"Thanks" Allie mumbled, that was almost a week ago.
Nicole got her bag and they got into the elevator. "Will's a good guy you know, you should be happy with him."
Allie didnt say anything because she knew she was right.
They went to a Chinese restaurant out in the street called Noodles Paradise and ordered Satay Chicken, fortune cookies and vitamin water.
Nicole flicked some green stuff out of her noodles as they settled into their table, "This is nice."
Allie nodded, inhaling her noodles at a frightening speed, "Mmmmm."
Nicole cracked open her fortune cookie, 'The time is right to make new friends.'
Nicole read it aloud, "These things are so inaccurate."
Allie nodded and put down her chopsticks, she easily cracked open her cookie.
"What does it say?" asked Nicole.
"'Confucius says; girl should not cheat on boyfriend with fiery red head.'"
Nicole laughed, "Ah Asians."
Allie crumpled the tiny piece of paper up and threw it into the trash.
'It is better to take the bull by the horns then to be gored.'

Later that day, the two girls stood outside the drug store.
It was starting to rain but no one wanted to go inside.
"I'll do it," said Nicole, "You go back to the hotel and I'll give it to you later."
Allie smiled, "Really?"
"Yes, just get out of the rain. I dont want my future god child to get a cold in the fetus."
Allie hugged her tight, "Thank you."
Nicole sighed and stepped into the drugstore. She went straight to the women's section.
Frowning she sorted through five different types of tests that seemed good.
A service clerk tapped her on the shoulder, "Can I help you miss?"
"Uh yes," she said, "I'm buying this for a friend and I have no idea what I'm doing."
He smiled, "I think this one is pretty accurate."
She smiled and went to pay for the test at the counter.
"Is that all Ma'm" asked the woman?
"Uh wait," she said putting a box of condoms on the counter, "I think she might want some more of these now."
"That'll be $16:50."
She paid with Ryan's credit card and walked back to the hotel.
The hotel room was empty when she got back so Nicole left the brown paper bag from the drugstore on Allie's bed.
Nicole tried watching TV but all she could think about was how her best friend maybe be pregnant to the boy she feelings for.
And the more she thought about it, the more awful she felt for Ryan.
She loved him she did, but when she saw William she still got butterflies.
Annoyed at herself, she decided to go see if Brendon wanted to go to time zone.
Not so shockingly, he did.
Ten minutes after she left her room, Ryan went into it looking for her.
"Nicole, are you in here? I thought you might want some lunch or something?"
But all he found was her bag and a brown paper bag from the drugstore.
Ryan looked over his shoulder to see if anyone was watching and then he opened the bag.
Condoms.
He smiled to himself, "Schweet."
But then he felt a box in the bag and he pulled out a pregnancy test.
Ryan's eyes widened.
"Oh my god, I got her pregnant."

William was packing his bags, carefully folding and arranging every article of clothing.
Allie sat next to his open suitcase, "If you go any slower you'll still be here folding your leather jacket while were driving west."
He made a face at her, "I didnt ask you too sit here and watch my pack my bags."
"I know, but I thought seeing as how I am such a nice sweet girlfriend I would."
William smiled, "Why dont you watch some TV or something?"
She shook her head, "It's fine."
Suddenly, Ryan burst through the door panting.
"Have you guys seen Nicole?" he asked in a panic
"Jesus!" gasped Beckett holding his chest, "You gave me a heart attack."
"But have you seen her?" he asked.
Allie shook her head, "We had lunch about an hour ago but I havent seen her since then."
Ryan ran his hair through his messy hair, "Well thanks, if you see her tell I need to talk to her."
"Will do" said Allie as Ryan shut the door.
William started laughing like a little kid.
"What?" she asked.
"If you say it backwards its 'Do Will'!" he giggled.
She couldnt help but smile; she leant up and kissed his chin.
"Do we have time?" she asked.
William pushed the suitcase off the bed and lay her down, "We always have time."

Nicole walked Brendon back to his room, "Have you packed your bags yet Brendon?"
"Yeah, Hayley packed them for me."
Nicole's eyes widened, "You've seen Hayley?"
Brendon shrugged, "Sorta, she's been with Josh a lot lately."
"Oh," said Nicole as Brendon unlocked his door.
"Yeah, I think im gonna have a shower because some little kid vomited on me in the bouncy castle."
She laughed, "Alright I'll see you this afternoon when we check out."
Nicole was walking back to her room when she heard someone shouting her name.
Confused, she turned around to see Ryan running towards at an alarming speed.
"Nicole," he said grabbing her shoulders, "I know, I know about everything."
"What are you talking about?" she asked.
Ryan's smile grew even bigger, "I found the test in your room, I know that were going to have a baby."
She smiled at his foolishness, "Oh Ryan."
"No," he said shaking his head, "I really want this. I want to have kids with you and be a Dad and all those things."
"No Ryan," she said holding his face, "You dont get it."
"Yes I do, I love you."
Nicole felt the bubble inside her burst.
"Ryan, it's not my test. I'm not pregnant."
His whole body seemed to slump, "Oh."
She picked his face up and looked in his eyes.
"I'm not pregnant yet. I would really like to have kids with you one day too."
He grinned and kissed her forehead, "I guess I kinda over reacted."
"Just a bit" she smiled, "Do you want to go get something to eat?"
"Yeah I'd like that, I feel like I havent eaten all day."
A little while later, Ryan grinned goofily as he ate his taco bell.
"Nicole," he asked, "If that test wasnt yours, whose was it?"
Nicole bit her lip, "Allie's."
Ryan's mouth made a little O. "Do Will or Hayley know? Or just me and you?"
"Just me and you" she smiled.
"I have feeling this isnt going to end very well" said Ryan.
Nicole laughed, "We'll just have to ride this out."
Her phone buzzed in her pocket, she quickly checked it.
"I have to go Ryan, its Allie."
He nodded, "Ok, I'll just have to finish your taco."
She kissed him while grabbing her jacket, "You need the taco more than I do."
She quickly walked back to the hotel and into her room where the bathroom door was shut.
"Allie?" asked Nicole, knocking on the door, "Can I come in?"
The door opened slowly, she was sitting on the close toilet and there was an upside bowl in the middle of the floor.
"How long has it been under the bowl since you peed on it?"
"Ten minutes."
Nicole quickly read the back of the box, "It should be done by now."
They both sat there looking at the bowl.
"I'm not touching your pee stick" said Nicole all of a sudden.
"I can't do it" said Allie slowly.
Nicole went over and picked up the bowl and the stick; reading it carefully.
"What does it say?" asked Allie.
Nicole bit her lip and handed her the test.
"It's positive."
