Such ludicrous eyes gleamed in a dangerous stare, it staggered Reina's breath by a miles way. She made no effort in showing her discomfort towards the Uchiha. Instead, eyes that countered the unbelievingly daring ones sent by the male were scarcely tinted with longing. Longing for what? He did not know. The most important question was why this certain girl was on his bed.
"So you've met our little pet, Itachi."
"Who is this," The Uchiha eyed the woman blankly.
"This," the man smirked, "is Itteiru Reina. You will be watching her for the time being."
"Cant someone else be caretaker for once." Itachi asked in frustration. His tone uttered seriousness that was not to be taken lightly in most times.
"Itachi," the man began, "you are my apprentice. The other Akatsuki members do not know of my presence. I expect to keep it that way. Becoming a babysitter isn't too hard for the little prodigy now is it?" he smirked.
"No Madara. However, I do have a matter consulting the situation that involves her." Itachi bore his eyes hard on his superior.
"And that matter may be?" the man called Madara asked.
"Why is she here." the Uchiha said as he continued to look at the woman laying on his bed quietly, eyeing both him and his mentor.
Madara smirked as he crossed his arms in front of his chest and closed his eyes slightly. "Have you heard of the Legends of Yousokami, Itachi?" Madara shifted positions with his left leg, putting force on it, tired of standing on the other and began without Itachi needing to answer his question. "There are three children Yousokami created that hold the basic elements of life. Elements we apparently use. Ninjutsu. These three children have the gift to maneuver their surroundings into their own basic element. Ironic as it sounds, the girl on your bed is one of the three. In possession of her, used correctly, she can destroy one-third of the entire ninja world."
"There are five elements; if there are three children then they each have at least two. Correct?" Itachi said with the information given by Madara.
"Childs."
The voice did not belong to Madara. It was more slick and tender. Even with the soft lovely chime, it gave out malice and even managed to make Itachi flinch. Almost.
The voice belonged to the woman on his bed; gone completely unnoticed until recently.
"What?" Itachi paused.
"We are not called children. Don't state us in that category. Does it look like I'm a young and defenseless human being with no brains to fend for myself?" she glared. "The three of us are Childs. We are no longer under Yousokami. He's deceased. Only someone foolish enough to praise him must be ridiculously stupid." Reina chimed as she sat diligently and never once shifting her gaze as she continued to stare the young Uchiha down.
There was a long pause as Madara recovered from his semi-surprised features.
The girl did not speak during her capture and behaved, doing as she was told to. Never once did she speak out of term. Surprise was not what anyone normal would show. Instead nervousness and anxiety.
"What do you control?" he asked as he began to switch to the right leg, getting tired of the other.
"Fire and wind are my basics. Although my wind structure was not complete."
"What do you mean?"
"My fire structure came naturally. Like a sixth sense. For wind however, I was not able to mend that particular element to its fullest potential. To do so, I had to kill Mizuka. She binds the other half of the wind structure I needed. Her water element was her basic, enabling me to use it as well when I killed her."
"And how is that possible? How are you able to do that?" Madara asked trying to put together the information he knew to the recent one given to him by a well known source; the Child herself.
"Spiritual digestion. Eating food gives you energy. Think of it as eating something that can never run out."
"Not to bad of an analogy. So this Mizuka girl, she held the liquid element?" Madara interpret.
"Correct."
"Is it a Kekkei genkai?" Madara asked.
"No. It comes willingly. Forming the liquid into a solid to fight can cure weak points to a few jutsu that could have been effective against her. There is only one. Fire. Since I now have control over her elements, I have no weakness. To mend that power is in my hand." Reina stated as she began to close her eyes slightly.
"The twins, as you say; they hold the elements: lightning and earth, am I right?"
"Yes."
Madara nodded understandingly. "Interesting information you've just given me in a short period of time. Whats your goal at the moment by doing this?"
There was a moment of silence as Reina thought of the right words to interpret so there wouldn't be any confusion between the two men and her. "I want the last elements. Unlike my element with fire and wind, both lightning has no split attack power from another Child for the other to gain. They both have one of their own, fully powered and no weakness. In my hands, I can be indestructible. Of course power isn't everything. Right now, I need as much to my full extent to follow my own goal. To put it bluntly, using your organization benefits both of us." Reina finished tiredly.
"Oh? And how is that, may I ask."
"I lend you my power and loyalty; you give me what I want."
"And what if you have your power? Will you betray us?"
Reina had both her eyes opened now. She lifted her head and gave Madara her fullest attention. "I know you to be utterly mad. This organization was only made to hide you. I don't know what your problem is or your morals are. Being the founder of the Akatsuki and someone known to have died, I'll give you this, the information you've just received was no lie. Whatever you do with it is your own business. Don't expect betrayal right now."
Madara's facial was hard to render anything helpful to describe what he was feeling. Before Reina knew it, he walked out of Itachi's room and left only a crack open. "Itachi." By then he spoke, "you are to train her once a week. Let her polish the elements she holds. Other then that, you needn't worry about trivial matters that categorize with anything but her getting stronger. Is that clear?"
"Hai, Madara-sama."
The door closed with a small tick sound. The young Uchiha's Sharingan deactivated as he began to take off his Akatsuki attire.
"How much do you know about us?" Itachi asked.
"More than enough." Reina scooted over and cuddled at the end of the Uchiha's bed with a small smile.
His bed sheets were soft and filled with a masculine scent that made her dizzy. Soon her dizziness subsided with tired features as she cuddled the pillow already in her arms tighter and curled up in a ball and fell in deep sleep.
"For someone with a strong outlook and hard words, you act like such a child." Itachi whispered as he took off his shirt and laid it neatly on a chair near him and took the space Reina unknowingly offered him.
