[Intro]
Ohh, how about a round of applause,
Yeah, standin' ovation,
Ooh ohh yeah, yeah yeah yeah yeah.
[Verse 1]
You look so dumb right now,
Standin' outside my house,
Tryin' to apologize,
Youre so ugly when you cry,
Please, just cut it out.
[Chorus]
Dont tell me youre sorry 'cause youre not,
Baby when I know youre only sorry you got caught,
But you put on quite a show (oh),
You really had me goin',
But now its time to go (oh),
Curtains finally closin',
That was quite a show (oh),
Very entertainin',
But its over now (but it's over now),
Go on and take a bow, ohh ohh.
[Verse 2]
Grab your clothes and get gone (get gone),
You better hurry up before the sprinklers come on (come on),
Talkin 'bout girl, I love you, youre the one,
This just looks like the re-run,
Please, what else is on.
[Chorus]
And dont tell me youre sorry 'cause youre not (mmm),
Baby when I know youre only sorry you got caught (mmm),
But you put on quite a show (oh),
You really had me goin',
But now its time to go (oh),
Curtains finally closin',
That was quite a show (oh),
Very entertainin',
But its over now (but it's over now),
Go on and take a bow, ohh.
[Bridge]
And the award for the best liar goes to you (goes to you),
For makin' me believe that you could be faithful to me,
Let's hear your speech out,
How about a round of applause,
A standin' ovation.
[Chorus]
But you put on quite a show (oh),
You really had me goin',
But now its time to go (oh),
Curtains finally closin',
That was quite a show (oh),
Very entertainin',
But its over now (but it's over now),
Go on and take a bow.
But it's over now.
T.T
You sat on a bench in front of a small garden. A nice breeze was drifting through, tugging and playing with your hair. You smiled and tilted your head back, with your eyes closed you let the sounds of nature around you sooth you. Moonlight enlightened the flowers that swayed dreamily and the leaves rubbed against each other creating music every time the wind blew. For the first time since leaving Taki you felt peaceful. Everything was in balance.
Footsteps broke the calm.
You tensed, recognizing the pattern of steps. You relaxed yourself, reminding yourself of the promise you made.
A siluette maneuvered it's way around the end of the bench before dropping down. You glanced at him out of the corner of your eye.
"It's nice isn't it?" You murmured softly, your eyes scanning the flowers.
"Mm."
"You don't care do you?" You asked smiling softly.
"I do," you glanced at him out of the corner of your eye. You smirked.
"Of course you do," you sighed reclining back with your arms folded above your head.
All that could be heard was his gentle breathing and the trees.
"Sasuke, is there something you wanted?" You asked wearily.
"You hate me so much you can't even stand to be in my presence?"
"No, I just didn't think you'd care to talk to me knowing I won't tell you where your brother is," you said with a shrug. He snorted. You half expected him to get up and leave. But he didn't, he just leaned forward and placed his elbows on his knees and laced together his fingers in front of his face. You sighed and looked up towards the starry sky. A frog jumped into the small pond in front of you.
"Do you feel anything towards me?" Sasuke's emotionless voice asked.
"No."
"So I could kiss you right now and you wouldn't care?" He asked, a tone of skepticism in his voice. The question caught you slightly off guard but you didn't show it.
"No," you said casting him a bored look. A smirk spread across his lips.
You blinked and found yourself staring into his dark eyes. You blinked slowly.
"Are you sure?" He said, his voice laced with a darker tone, a more...seductive tone. If something so much as twitched inside of you, you didn't feel it. You stared into his eyes coolly, even as his lips began to near your. You could feel his breath against your lips. With every millimeter your heart sped up by half a beat no matter how much you tried to stop it, but you kept your gaze steady. When you felt his lips lightly brush yours, almost like the touch of a butterfly, he stopped. It was like he froze, waiting for a reaction. You were determined not to give him one. He pulled back suddenly and smirked.
"Not bad," he congradulated. You snorted.
"It wasn't that hard," you lied. He nodded and stood up.
"Goodnight," you called as he walked away. He didn't reply.
"Nice talking to you," you sighed lazily. You stared up at the sky. It surprised you to feel a tear slide down your cheek. You wiped it away hastily, not even wanting to acknowledge it.
You sighed and stood up. The icy shiver of someone watching you caused your joints to lock together, freezing you in your place.
What is this? You wondered, your eyes wide in shock.
"He's coming. Leave soon," a hiss drifted through the breeze. Your breathing tightened as your chest constricted. Slowly, the feeling started to fade, leaving the night cold to replace your fear. It took you a second to realize you were shivering. You turned on your heel and sprinted back to your room.
You ran up the stairs, two at a time, slipped silently down the hall, and ran into your room. You pulled off your robe, your pajamas underneath, and dove into your bed. You pulled the blankets over your shaking body as if the blankets would protect you from the world.
Like a child afraid of the monster under the bed. You managed to muse through your horror.
Itachi's coming back and I'm not ready. That was your last thought before you reached your limit and fell asleep.
***
"Keoko..Keoko-chan.." Someone was shaking your shoulder gently.
"What?" You mumbled sleepily.
"We're getting ready to leave soon," she explained softly.
"Why'd you let me sleep in then?" You asked grumpily.
"Well, you looked really tired. I'm sorry. Were you up late?" She questioned. Your eyes snapped open when you remembered what happened last night. Sasuke..the voice..you sat bolt up and wordlessly went into the bathroom to get ready. Sakura stared after you confused.
"Did I say something wrong?" She murmured softly.
You opened the bathroom door and walked out. You walked out and grabbed your bag. You walked out of the room stiffly and passed Sakura without a word. You gracefully danced down the stairs and down to the lobby where the rest of your team was waiting. Sakura barreled down after you. You glanced at her out of the corner of your eye with distaste. You continued past your teammates and straight outside. Your eyes widened. That presence, it was back. Involuntarily you started to quiver again.
"Are you alright?" Kakashi asked lazily. His voice sounded so far away. Your body had gone cold, almost as if your blood had turned to ice.
"Keoko," Sasuke's voice snapped. You blinked. You turned and looked at him with a slightly confused expression.
"Yes?"
"You're shaking," Naruto said bluntly.
"Impossible," you replied shortly and started to walk away, but when you looked down at your hands, you saw that they were shaking.
"You need to leave," the now familiar raspy voice spoke. But it's familiarity did not calm your nerves. You stopped walking causing Naruto to almost walk into you.
"Huh? Keoko?" He jumped in front of you and peered into your clouded eyes.
"Are you sure you're okay?" He asked suspiciously. You couldn't answer. His voice was so far away you couldn't hear it. Faintly you could hear Sasuke growl in frustration. You could see him push Naruto out of the way before he wound his fist back. He sent it forward in a hooked motion. But you weren't paying attention. He stopped just before it hit your cheek. An expression of mild surprise filtered through his features. He stretched out his fingers and you felt his fingers brush your cheek. You blinked, his touch drawing you back. Dizziness washed over you and you stumbled. Sasuke's arms slid around your waist catching you. Unable to do anything else, you resolved to resting your forehead on his shoulder. In one blurred movement he flipped his arm around and slid it under your knees, his other arm still around your waist. He hoisted you up.
"We should get back as soon as possible," he said calmly and started walking.
"W-what's wrong with her?" Naruto asked concerned.
"Kakashi-sensei, is she going to be alright?" Sakura asked.
"I don't even know what's wrong," Kakashi replied coolly, "whatever it is, I'm sure that she can handle it. When we get back she can go visit Tsunade."
"Is she going to be alright until we get there?" Sakura asked. But you'd already pushed yourself out of Sasuke's arms and started walking.
"I think she'll be fine," Kakashi said. Sakura didn't look convinced though.
"I hope she'll be in good enough condition for tonight," she said nervously.

You sighed, you were so glad to be home. You hesitated. Home. Since when did you use that word, you wondered. This place must have grown on you, much to your annoyance. It would be harder to leave now.
It was getting dark now. You sighed.
"We'll see you tomorrow!" Naruto and Sakura called, waving and dashing off in the direction of their homes. You sighed again.
I wonder how awkward it will be living with Uchiha now..? Hmm, maybe I should just leave..I need to leave soon anyways..He's coming. You thought, looking up at the starry sky.
"You coming?" Sasuke's irritated voice called from the door. You hadn't realized you'd stopped walking.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting," you mumbled, jogging up the steps. Sasuke grunted and opened the door. Everything was dark.
"Oi, Ming..Are you there?" You called. Her absence was unnerving you. You senses were alerted by many different chakras. You stiffened. Sasuke didn't seem to notice.
"Sasuke.." You murmured.
"Che.." He walked into the livingroom. Your mind was in turmoil. What was going on?
You stepped into the dark living room and the lights flashed on, startling you.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" A chorus of voices screamed. You blinked in surprise.
[Surprised?] A voice teased. You looked down to see Ming, a cat-grin pulling back her lips.
"...You're all here..for my birthday?"
"Yep!" Sakura grinned, hugging you.
"Sasuke was amazing enough to let us use his house for the party," Ino sang.
"Of course he did. I was the one who asked him," Sakura said proudly.
"Heh, because of you, bill-board-brow? I think not. I think it was because I was there," Ino sniffed.
This is ridiculous. You turned and scanned the crowd. The majority of the people there you didn't even know.
"Keoko-chan, will you open my present first?" Naruto asked, holding out a shiny box.
"P-presents?" You studdered. Since when did anyone get you presents?? Never, no one ever got you presents.
Hesitantly you took the box out of Naruto's hand.
"YATTA!" He cheered, pumping his fist into the air.
"SHE'S OPENING MINE FIRST!" He continued happily.
"Well mine's next!" People cried out in unison until a fight enrolled. You sweatdropped.
I'm not sure whether or not I should be happy about this...

A pile of glimmering wrapping paper was heaped up into a corner. Sasuke could be seen eyeing it with distaste.
Heh, he knows he's going to be the one cleaning this. You snorted.
"Ohh, I know! Let's play-"
"We're not playing spin the bottle," someone said swiftly, remembering the previous incident.
Thank god.
"Durr, I'm not an idiot," Ino growled, "we're going to play ten minutes in heaven!" Almost everyone sweatdropped.
How is being stuck in a closet any better than spin the bottle?
"That's the smartest thing you've ever come up with," Sakura said with a bright smile. Ino irked but did her best to ignore Sakura.
"Boys, gather 'round," an unknown girl called waving a bunch of colored papers around while the girls were shooed out of the room. The other girl with the papers followed after handing the wad to Shikamaru. You stood at the front, leaning against the wall.
"Because you're the birthday girl, you're going first," a girl ordered more than said.
"Err, okay," you replied uneasily while reaching into the hat.
"Now, you're not going to know who it is unless they want to tell you. When you come out he can tell you or leave without you knowing who it was," the girl explained. You nodded slightly to show you understood. She brightened.
"Good, now give me your paper."
You handed her a piece of paper with a pink dot on it. Immediately you were shuffled into a closet that'd been gutted, the jackets piled carelessly to the left of the door.
The door was shut behind you, leaving you in the inky dark. You moved to the far corner and leaned against the wall before sliding down.
"How pointless." Just then the door opened and closed before you could see who'd entered.
Silence.
"Care to tell me who's in here?" You asked casually.
"I figured it was you," a monotone voice replied. Your eyes widened slightly in surprise.
"Uchiha?"
