[♥] Remember Me... [♥] {part 17} Second Part of the Chunin Exams

It had been a cuple hours since we returned to Kohana. I surely ran home and dived on my bed. "Uhh, I so missed this place!" I muffled in my pillow. Suddenly, I heard a knock at the door. "I wonder who that could be? I just got home." I said to myself. I picked myself up off my bed and walked to my door. When I opened it, I peered around the corner of the door and spotted Sasuke standing infront of me. "Sasuke? Hey whats up?" I asked. "I heard you were home, so I just came by to say hi." I he cooly stated. I stuck my lip out a little, "Uhh, that's nice of you Sasuke but I surely want to nap now, so later." But before my door shut compeletly, Sasuke stuck his foot in the door. "Asuka wait." He said. "Yes..?" I huffed. "Uhmm, are you huingray or anything? I mean, I could take you out for some Ramen or something.." Sasuke looked me in the eye. I felt myself blushing for some reason, and I turned my gaze away from his. "Uhmm, no thanks. I have to.. train for the second part of the Chuinin Exams later. But thanks for the offer." I tried shutting the door again. Sasuke prevented me once more. "You want me to help your training?" He asked. "Sasuke! Please, I appreciate your help.. but I dont need it. Good bye." I then slammed the door infront of him. When it shut completly, I turned my back againist it and rested upon it. [I know Sasuke likes me...and he just wants to be with me. But I dont..] Another knock on the door. This time more loud and fast. "Erhh..," I growled, turning to opening the door. "Whats he want now?" I was then sent back flying! The door had opened really fast! "Hey!!! Asuka your back!!!" Naruto grinned standing in the door way. I was obviously 10 feet from him..and dizzy. Naruto blinked, then stared at me funny. "Hey, Asuka. Whatcha doin on the ground?" He asked. I weakly sat up and death glared him. "Take a wild guess." I mummbled. Naruto finally got the idea. He looked at me, then the door, and rubbed the back of his head. "Oh yeah! Sorry about that..hehhehh.." I let out a sigh, "It's alright. Not whats up?" "I was wondering if you could help me alittle with my training for the exams tomrorrow." Naruto walked over to me and squated down to my level. I stopped rubbing my head and looked up at his squinted eyes. "Uhmmm, I would like too but.." That's all I had to say to him; Naruto then grabbed my wrist and pulled me staright up and began running out the door and out of my apartment. "GREAT!" I he cheered. I was vunriable, and couldn't stop him. [Look
s like sleeping isn't an option.] I meekly thought to myself.

"Come on Naruto. If you can just hit me once I'll pay for the Ramen tonite." I stood my battle stance (it's sorta like Neji's 8 trigrams stance but not so low to the ground and Asuka has a staff in her backhand)I shouted to my friend who was about 20 feet away and waited for Naruto's attack. "Alright! Here I come! Shadow Clone Jutsu!" He called. Then, a bunch of Naruto's poofed out. There were at least 5 or 6.

I got ready as they came running and screaming towards me. The 1st Naruto tried punching me but clearly missed; his fist went passed my face each time. He tried about 10 times and I finally hit him back and in the gut with my staff. I sent him flying and he dissappered in a cloud of smoke. The next Naruto had tried starting the Uzumaki barriage, but failed. He tried coming at me from below but I easily jumped and dodged his foot. I then quickly reacted with my staff and jabbed the Naruto clone hard in the stomach while he layed hopelessly on the ground. That clone then dissapared too. 3 Naruto clones tried coming at me all together; I twhirled my staff around above my head, my body followed, and defelected all of their attacks. I got back in battle stance knowing Naruto was out of clones. I glared at Naruto as if he were my enemy. But, Naruto was grinning somewhat and I didn't understand why? Naruto then came charging at me full speed. I stayed in stance and was ready for whatever he had coming for me. Naruto, jumped above my head. I followed his dierection turning around completly at him. Then, Naruto exploded into smoke. "What?!" I screeched, and felt a HARD punch to my right cheek. It was Naruto, he tricked me by distracting me with his Shawdow Clones and finally got me in an open spot! I fell to the ground and lost my staff on the way down. "Gah!" I yelped in pain as I hit the dirt and grassy training grounds. It took a second or 2 for me to get back up again. "Heh.. nice shot." I grinned, whiping the small droplets of blood from my mouth. Naruto kept his smile and his fist clenched and shouted, "NOW YOU HAVE TO BUY RAMEN!!!!" He bragged. I got a good laugh at that and started walking over to him. Once in good distance, I put my hand on his shoulder and looked at him. "Naruto.....LAST ONE THERE HAD TO BUY!!" I yelled in his face and ran off sprinting! Naruto was so mad !! ")*&*%#@$%^&" Were his words.. or so that I could make out. :D

At the Ramen shop Naruto kept a sour face the entire time. All I could do was just laugh. "You really suck you know." Naruto angrily mummbled. "Ahahaha!" I giggled, and patted his spiky, blonde head. Naruto had then finally smiled and slurped the rest of his ramen. As usual I gently placed my noodles in my mouth. "Why do you eat Ramen so fancy??" Naruto asked. I shrugged my shoulders and set more noodles in my mouth. Naruto squinted at me again, and returned to his guzzling.

I weakly woke up to an open window where the sunshine was bright. I Really didnt want to get up, but today was the second part of the Chuinin Exams. .....WAIT! THE SECOND PART OF THE CHUININ EXAMS ARE TODAY!! I was so shocked that i wiggled around in my bed and fell to the hard wood floor. "GAH!! OHH IM GONNA BE SO LATE!!" I yelled to myself. I quickly then showered as fast as I could, dryed my hair, brushed it, and changed into my clothes. I then ran out of the apartments and rushed down the stairs. I was half was out the door when BAM!! Something hit me on the way down...well I actually bumped into someone. As my butt hit the florr, again, I began shouting, "What the heck! Watch where you're going!!" "Sorry." Said a familar voice. I peeked up to see Sasuke Uchia standing infront of me. "I didn't mean too.. uhh." Sasuke stammered. "Uhh, it's no problem Sasuke. Just help me up please." I demanded. He did so; his left hand extended to my right and I grasped it. Sasuke help me up, and I brushed myself off. "Soo.." I looked at Sasuke. "So." He repeted. He looked back at me. There was a akward silence for about a minute. Sasuke gaze didn't reach me most of the time but he did take a few peeks. "Sasuke. What do you want? We're gonna be late for the second part of the exams today." I said with a lip. "Yeah, that's what I wanted to know. If you'd.." I saw a slight blush run across his face. "If you'd walk with me?" He then looked at me, and had somewhat of a smile.
I then felt a small blush on my face... and I didn't know why? I didn't answer for awhile, I just kinda stood there. "Asuka?" Sauske questioned. "Sure. Sure, Sasuke." I said kinda jumpy and quick. Sasuke began walking away from me towards the diretion of the stadium. I didn't follow, not right away. I stood in the doorway of the entering doors of the apartments. [Why do I feel like..] I was cut off thinking to myself when Sasuke turned around and called for me. "Yo, you coming?" Sasuke shouted. "Uh. Yeah! Coming." I the ran towards my love struck friend.

The walk to the arena was normal. Sasuke really didn't treat me like his crush. And I treated him no differently either. My mind was set on someone else. Sasuke had asked me more about his 'condition' and what amy happen. But I refused to tell him anymore until we had someone else knew about it.
Finally, Sasuke and I had reached our destination to the areana. "Well, this is it." I said. "Yeah. Naruto and Sakura should be inside already." Sasuke had his gaze set on the doors. I stared at Sasuke; for some reason, he seemed nervous. "Hey Sasuke." "Yeah?" He replied. I looked him in the eye. "Don't use your sharigan." "What?!" He gasped. "That mark on your neck...it feed on chakra. Using your sharigan will only make it worse." Sasuke had a serious expression, but let out a big sigh. "Ok." He mummbled. I looked at him once again, and saw the depression on his face. [Poor Sasuke. I remember how it feels to be useless, to be nothing.] I rubbed the back of my neck; where my mark used to be. [This mark can really screw a shinobi up.] After our conversation, Sasuke and I finally walked through the doors.

Once inside they lined us up according to teams. I was alone, obviusly. I then spotted Lee and his team. I had only a chance to stare until his head turned my way. My reaction was to just turn away.
It had been almost hours and my match still hasn't come yet. Sasuke went first and won with his new technique with a move borrowed from Lee! He was then taken to the imfirmary. Next was Shino Aburame and Shikamaru Nara. They had both fought a tough battle but Shikarmaru had a comeback and won against Shino. After that was Naruto Uzumaki and Kiba Inazuka;
Naruto had passed some gas through Kiba's nose and had come up with his own new move to defeate his cainie foe. And adter those 2, rivals Sakura Haurno and Ino Yamanaka.
Surprisingly, it had ended up becoming a tie and neither of them moved on to the next part. Both Sakura and Ino had knocked one another out and were brought back up by their sensei's Kakashi and Asuma. When both girls were placed against the wall to rest, everyone crowded them. EVen I went to see if they were okay. But when I saw Lee getting all around and emotional for Sakura I just couldn't stand it anymore! Sakura this! And Sakura that! "Errrhh!!!" I growled loudly and stomped away from my jealous rage. Lee had obvously known becuase on my way I slammed on his toe! "OUCH!! Hey! Wait up!!" He screamed at me. All eyes were on us now. I soon stopped and turned to Lee. "What is your deal!" He yelled. "You!!! Duh!" I mocked. "What?" "Oh don't act dumb!! How can you just do that to me!" I turned to my side and crossed my arms. Lee was totally caught off guard. "Asuka, I don't understand." He whimpered. I struck a nerve. "WHAT!" I howled in his face. "Gah!" Lee shouted as he almost fell to the ground. I relaxed myself and sighed. "Lee, that's the thing. You have to understand. What you said to me.." I then turned my head and blushed slightly. Lee just had a blank look on his face. "What you said to me, made me think that.. uhmm, that you...cared?" I figitred a little then looked in his eyes. His face was still blank. "Don't you remember?" Lee still hadn't said anything. "Do you remember.. anything?" I asked, with sadness in my voice. Lee's shoulders slumped forward, and his eyes droped. "Lee?" "Listen Asuka. You need to understand. I..I really don't remember anything. The thing is, I do remember you, Asuka." He smiled. "I don't need to be reminded of anything else." Lee then turned his back, and walked back to watch the next match. All I could do was just stand there, and have thought about what Lee just said to me. [He doesn't need to remember anything else?] Sorrow was my only emotion, and I walked right next to him to watch what was happening next. Lee didn't look at me.
{Lee's POV}
I had just explained to Asuka what I thought. [Asuka, please forgive me for lying.] I thought to myself, and walked next to my teammates and Sensi. All I could do was feel sorry for my past love.
{Asuka's POV}
The next battle was coming up shortly. I wasn't anixous or nervous. I was just plain sad. Up on the screen, the next 2 names appeared on the screen. I didn't care, so I didn't look up. "Asuka!!" Shouted Naruto from my left. "Yeah?" I yelled angrily. "Look." Lee pointed. I looked at Lee, then followed his finger to see my name....matched up with the sound ninja Kin.
My blood boiled, and I was furious. My raging gaze spwet across the other sideof the room to see my opponet. She glared back at me and put a hand on her hip. Our angry stares were shortly cut from the proctor calling us down to fight. I jumped on the bar and was about to jump; when all of the sudden a hand was place upon my shoulder. It was Lee, "Good luck Asuka." Lee whispered, and gave me a thumbs up.
I huge smile was on my face, and I then jumped down to the ground, where I met my enemy. The proctor coughed twice, and explained the rules. I wasn't listening, all I could do was just stare at Kin; the girl who tried to kill Lee, me, and kidnap Sasuke. "Alright, got it?" He askled, and no one said anything. "Begin!" His hand chopped down infront of him, and the battle begins.
