A green haired douser, named Lyserg joined the group. Though you were at first open to letting him join, after he attacked Yoh and his friends, you lost all trust in him, but are slowly gaining some of it back. Meanwhile, Zeke says he'll be visiting you soon
Okey Dokey
"Is the Pizza here yet?!" Trey called hungrily.
You'd all decided to stay at an inn over the night and leave tommorow. Ryu came in with three boxes of pizza and dropped them on the table in front of you and Lyserg, who was seating across the table from you. The handsome green haired boy smiled at you as you looked at him in thought. You realized what you were doing and averted your eyes. Maybe I'm wrong.. he doesn't seem so bad...
After the fight you had with Ren, Lyserg completely lost your trust by following exactly as Ren said he would. Though you'd already patched things up with the Tao, you were still a little skeptical about being open with Lyserg anymore. I'm contradicting my own words... you thought to yourself angrily. Yoh waved his hand over your eyes. "Hey Mizuki> You okay?"
You blinked and nodded. Yoh smiled and said quietly so that only you could hear, "Don't worry about Lyserg, 'kay? I really think you were right in saying we should give him a chance. So dont think you were wrong just 'cause of one little mistake he made."
You looked up surprised. How does he always know what to say? He reads me like an open book!
You stood up. "I;m full. I think I'll go walk for a bit."
"Alright! We'll probably be asleep by the time you get back, so I'll leave the door unlocked." Yoh replied.
"Mizuki, do you want us to come with you?" asked Awai, one of your guardian ghosts.
You smiled softly at his sincerity but said "No thanks. I'll be fine."
Awai and Kurai, your other guardian ghost, exchanged skeptical looks, but let you go ahead.
It was dark out and the cool breeze whipped your long flowing hair in the wind. You found a forest a few blocks away from the town, where you could finally be alone. You closed your eyes and listened to the wind whistling. You heard a rustle of leaves behind you and turned around but spotted no one. You looked around once more, to be sure then turned back around and continued walking. "Long time no see." a voice called from behind.
You turned around and this time, on a tree branch, was Zeke. You felt your arms go limb at the sight of him. He jumped down from the tree and walked towards you saying, "After not seeing me for such a long time, you can't even think of a thing to say?"
He stood in front of you and ran his fingers through your hair, and said "Am I really that surprising to you?"
The last time you'd been alone with him was much different than now. Even though he maintained his kingly presence, the atmosphere back then was much less tense. He placed a hand on the back of your neck, making your spine tingle at his touch.
"Why are you here?" you asked, your voice trembling.
"Don't be afraid. I already promised before that I had no intention of hurting you, didn't Mizuki?" he said smiling slightly.
The way he said your name... It gave you that familiar feeling from before. It was like a tear at your heart each time he uttered it. His smooth voice made you turn cold.
"I only came here to talk to you. You must have a lot of questions you want answered." he continued, "I can answer them all."
You looked at the floor and said, "I've already had enough to deal with. I don't need someone else to make my life more difficult. Leave me alone."
He looked slightly surprised by this, but smiled and said "This is about that douser isn't it?"
You looked at him shocked. "How do you know about him?"
"Does it matter? I know he caused you to fight with that Tao boy, didn't he?"
You didn't answer so he went on, "And now you feel like you don't belong with them. Like you're... just an unwanted loner."
You felt your heart ache at those words. How... how can he know all this? How does he know exactly how I feel?
He moved closer to you and put one hand on your back, embracing you. This caught you completely off guard. He whispered in your ear, "I would never make you feel that way if you were with me."
You felt your body warm up against his. Those words... those comforting words coming from this stranger made you want to hold on to him... to make sure he didnt leave like he did last time. He pulled away slightly and said softly, "Join my team, Mizuki. They're only holding you back."
You looked at him, unable to speak. It was true, you'd been really bothered by what Ren and Trey said that morning. You wanted, more than anything, to be alone... To be like you used to; a loner. The feeling you had while being in his arms disappeared. What am I thinking? If I join his team, I still wont be alone... I'll be with him.
You moved away from Zeke and felt immediately different; you didn't have that weak, vulnerable feeling anymore... and that was how you planned to stay.
"I'm never joining you. Mikihisa-danna said he wants me to be with Yoh's team, and weather I want to or not, I'll obey his orders." you said, glaring at him
He frowned slightly and said "That really is unfortunate. But never say never, Mizuki. You will come to me soon."
He moved quickly behind you and held your arms, so you couldn't move them. He kissed your neck from behind and whispered in your ear, "I'll be seeing you again very soon, Mizuki."
With that, he disappeared in flames. You stood in the middle of the dirt path, surrounded by trees, still gazing behind you. The moment he left you felt a pain in your body. You sighed and continued down the path, Zeke's voice replaying in your head.

You returned to the inn. After changing into a night robe, you peaked into the boy's room (you got your own room). Everyone was asleep. You were about to shut the door when you heard Yoh's voice, "Are you okay, Mizuki?"
Yoh sat up and rubbed his eyes. "I heard you come in. You seem a little off."
"I'm fine. It was nothing. I was just... thinking."
He looked at you, trying to searching your face, but you kept a still expression plastered on. He sighed and asked "You going to sleep?"
You nodded. He looked out the window to his right and gazed at the moon. "Alright. If you feel uncomfortable or something, just wake me up, okay?"
You nodded and shut the door behind you. After lying down, you stared at the ceiling, thinking about Zeke. No matter how much you tried to ignore or hide it, you knew there was something about him that made you want to stay with him... to never leave his side. You turned to your side and let out an exhausted sigh. You closed your eyes and fell asleep, hoping Zeke would visit you again tomorrow.
