She runs her sweaty hands along the dress Hailey had chosen out especially for that nights plan; the short piece of silk red material hugging around her hips. Aiden felt good about herself, in that moment, and she was set on following through with the plan. It wasn't anything dramatic, for Aiden, which made her feel quietly confident about going through with it- the plan. And Aiden couldn't help but smile at her reflection, after spending the whole afternoon plucking and primping, before she decides to leave.
She was meeting Hailey, of course, out the front of this supposed party they she was going to crash. Apparently, according to Hailey, one of Gerard's friends was throwing a party. One that, obviously, Hailey wasn't invited to in the first place, but she seemed to have felt quite at ease as they both stood outside in the cold.
"You look perfect." she grimaces, tucking Aiden's fringe away from her heavily lined eyes.
Aiden smiles slightly, and runs her hands along the material once again.
"I feel completely out of place." she returns nervously, as she looks behind her to the party; loud heavy music spilling out into the dark street.
"Don't worry- he won't be able to resist you."
Aiden nods and exhales loudly; a nervous cackle escaping past her lips. Hailey raises a brow at her and Aiden shakes her head and smiles again, trying to reassure her that she would follow through.
"Okay, so I have my cell. Just call me if anything changes." her eyes bore into Aiden's and Aiden's stomach twists itself into a knot. "I'll be waiting."
Aiden nods again, spins herself around and follows the path up to the house, taking the steps inside the house.
It was loud, she had to admit, but she smiled as she proceeded further into the unknown house. Although she was there for a purpose, she couldn't help but feel slightly comfortable with the surroundings and music. It wasn't like most of the parties she had been to. This one was more... dangerous, she thought.
She bee lines her way to the kitchen in hopes to find something to calm her nerves drink. She stands by the fridge, with her arms folded across her chest shielding herself from the stares she had gathered, and waits for someone to offer her a drink. After all, it would have been rude of her to just invite herself to what was in the fridge.
"Aiden, right?"
Her eyes flick to her left and take in a familiar figure, Ray.
"Y-yeah." she smiles politely, remembering the predicament she had found herself in the last (and first) time they had met.
"What are you doing here?" he yells over the music; pushing his curly locks away from his face.
"I came to find Gerard." she begins, but Ray cuts her off as he leans in closer, letting his lips linger by her ear.
"I thought you two were fighting." he states more seriously, letting the distance return between them once hes said that; taking a sip from his red, plastic cup.
"I- I know. I just thought..."
Ray shakes his head and chuckles- although Aiden couldn't hear him, she knew he was- waving his free hand for her to not worry about it.
"You want a drink?" he asks, with his lips at her ear again.
"Yeah." she replies; Ray scrunching up his nose and mouthing a 'what' to her.
Aiden nods her head, deciding that trying to speak into his ear would result in a mouthful of hair. Ray nods too, opens the fridge beside her, pulling out a bottle and emptying the remnants of its contents into a discarded plastic cup.
After a few drinks or so, Aiden found herself wandering around the strange house; walking in on couples occupying a few of the spare bedrooms upstairs. Ray was with her, which she didn't mind, it put her mind at ease knowing he was there to help her out if someone got a little too out of control with their liquor. She wasn't exactly looking for Gerard- her heart and mind were fighting with themselves to actually go through with the plan- but she was keeping an eye out; remembering that she had wanted revenge. Ray tugs on her hand and motions his head towards a door that looked like it headed to the basement; pulling her towards it.
He was down there- Gerard- with a small bunch of guys, which she gathered to be those friends of his.
"Aiden?"
Gerard stands after placing his own cup on the coffee table situated in front of the couch he was sitting on. She waves slightly and gives him a forced smile.
"I found her earlier." Ray tells him; Gerard nods but he can't seem to remove his jaw from the floor and he walks around the table and advances on her.
Aiden feels her stomach tighten and every ounce of heat in her body had made its way to her forehead, releasing small beads of sweat which form above her brows. She wipes them away and smiles, once again, at Gerard, who is now standing in front of her.
"What are you doing here?" he interrogates, seemingly not showing any sympathy towards her cowering form.
Although she didn't want Gerard to be angry at her, she understood; shrugging after a short silence. Gerard looks back to his friends and grabs for Aiden's hand, pulling her along until they're both alone together in a small room adjacent to the basement steps. Aiden rips her hand from Gerard's firm grasp, rubbing the red band he had left.
"Why are you here?" he growls.
REST IN RESULTS
Cause lately I've been tired and uninspired
Aiden shifts from side to side, clueless as to what to say. Gerard pulls her hand again, trying to coax her to answer him. For a second, Aiden has the courage to look him in the eye, but her nerves get the better of her; they had eaten away that small part of her that wanted revenge on Gerard, the part that wanted to make him squirm.
"I have to go." she chokes before pushing herself away from him.
"Wait..." he calls out as she pushes her weight against the door so it opens.
"No, I can't- I have to go."
And, as always, a present in the form of Gerard...
